Xihai Hotel truly exceeded my expectations! I'd always thought hotels on Huangshan were expensive with limited amenities, but I managed to snag a presale deal: one night on the mountain and one off for just over 800 yuan. So, my best friend and I decided to go see the sunrise. Xihai's location is excellent, right at the intersection of Danxia Peak, West Sea Grand Canyon, and Bright Summit, making it convenient to get anywhere. The hotel on the mountain provides complimentary down jackets and flashlights, which is a huge bonus for hiking and watching the sunrise – you can pack one less bulky item. On our first day, it was cloudy, and the hotel concierge said there was a 55% chance of seeing the sunset. We actually got lucky and witnessed a stunning sunset from Danxia Peak! The next day was perfectly clear, and in the morning, the hotel organized a sunrise viewing for guests. We saw the sunrise from Mushroom Pavilion – truly amazing luck! A special shout-out to the hotel's breakfast as well. To enjoy such a rich and delicious breakfast on the mountain is a rare treat.

The view from the room was fantastic, being right by the river and offering a great panorama of the Yangtze River. My husband stayed at Beihai Hotel 20 years ago, and it's certainly not what it used to be. For a hotel with these kinds of amenities at the top of the mountain, I'm extremely satisfied. We have already been in Zhejiang province and saw Wencheng county nearby Wenzhou and the Yunhe rice terraces in Yunhe county nearby Lishui. The past few days we have had great fun in Huangshan The staff at the reception gave us a warm welcome and the information that was given on possible trips in the area was interesting and complete. The hotel is located just outside Tangkouzhen, a nice 15 minutes walk from the bus terminal. We loved the fact the hotel neighbourhood was relatively quiet. Just next door and opposite the hotel you can find supermarkets and restaurants. The reception is very helpful in arranging transport to and from the hotel. Various times we made use of shared car trips. The chauffeurs were polite, service minded and punctual. The transfer costs per person were also very reasonable. The room was spacious and well equipped. We liked the fact that there was a little refridgerator in the room and a free water and cola drink on the house. The airconditioning was okay. We watched a few movies on the television and loved the variety of good movies to choose from. The breakfastbuffet was good and there was great variety of food. Baozi, steamed jiaozi, rice porridge, vegetables, sweet potatoes, fried noodles and fries rice etc. It is also very convenient that the restaurant is also serving lunch and dinner dishes. The menu really looks good and the prices are reasonable. We thank the hotel staff for giving us suggestions on our trip to Huangshan. Very informative. We really enjoyed our trip into Huangshan mountains and the old village of Hongcun. We are grateful that you gave us a great time at Songyue Hotel. It really felt like our second home. I even walked to the concert from here, so the location is great. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Hefei.

The room facilities are simple and generous, clean and refreshing. The room is also very clean. When I go out, I pay special attention to hygiene. It still makes people feel at ease. The transportation is convenient. Wanda Plaza is downstairs and it is not far from Erlijing Night Market. It was a very happy stay.
