Mild Spring boutique Inn (Tunxi Old Street/Liyang in Alley)

This hotel exceeded all our expectations! Let’s start with the hosts, who messaged us in advance and arranged a pick up from the train station (which was very convenient and cheaper than Didi). They also answered all of our questions and helped us with our luggage. The room was very beautiful and clean. The bed very soft. I wish we had booked the room for longer and get to Huangshan from there. The hotel itself is amazing, it has a great balcony where you can observe the street and the decor is tasteful. The breakfast was delicious and fresh. The hotel is situated very close to Tunxi road, there are shops, cafés and lovely bars with live music further down the street. Also what was extremely helpful and nice from the owner : he was explained us how to navigate the mountain and gave us important tips. We received a map mafe by him with instructions based on the kind of hike we wanted to have. With this information, we had a successful adventure on the Huangshan mountain. When I come to Tunxi next time I will definitely book the same hotel again, it is by far the prettiest and the most welcoming hotel we have visited. Thank you again for this experience!

The staff is unbelievable kind and supportive. We felt very welcome. Really a great experience. The room we stayed was clean and nice. Everything worked, so nothing to complain at all. Over all a great stay. We will come back.

Decided to book our stay at this hotel after seeing the good reviews. The inn owner messaged us On the day of our check-in, giving us instructions to their inn, very proactive. When we almost missed the location, she came out to call us. 😅 Check-in was very smooth, even gave us lovely Huangshan Maofeng tea to try and some tea snacks and patiently explained to us on the different features of our family room. 3 words: service was impeccable. The inn owner was also very helpful, sharing with us tips on how to plan/arrange our follow-up trip up Huangshan. Very clean room with sufficient power points and love the homeliness of the room given. The breakfast was simple but good.

Had a fantastic stay! Room was very cozy and was super convenient, right amongst all the stores and shops in the touristy area. It's also a quick walk (1-2 blocks) to some more local spots. The staff were all extremely warm and friendly. Breakfast was fantastic!! The boss was super helpful in providing a straightforward itinerary for huangshan, you can borrow a hiking stick as well. Also highly recommend getting a driver to receive you---it made arriving at night much more comfortable.

The owner and his wife were hospitable. The owner took the time to explain the different routes on Huangshan and helped to arrange transport to any where. The lady staff was also kind and recommended us different things to try. Patient in answering our queries and took great initiative to introduce us to the area. Situated on the old street with lots of delicious food and things to see. Room was very clean. There is complimentary tea too. The complimentary breakfast was simple and homely. It was lovely meeting Xiao Bai, Justin and Chen Chen. The hotel is right next to a school so you will hear the children shouting/ doing morning exercises/ school bell ringing etc.

Very warm welcoming host and supportive to guide in the activities we could plan. Our stay was a success greatly thanks to our host.

Our favourite hotel so far anywhere in China - incredible assistance from the owner in making arrangements for Huangshan Mountain and local day trips to Hongcun and Xidi. Gorgeous room and very comfortable and clean. Amazing breakfast, too! Stayed three nights and wished we had longer - the area is fab. Highly recommend!
