Jilin

Jilin is in the central part of northeastern China. The territory includes many mountains, plains, lakes and rivers. Prior to the Qing Dynasty, it was one of the Manchu's main areas. It is also the birthplace of some other northern Chinese ethnic minorities. There are many ancient relics scattered throughout the city. These include sites of interest like the Museum of the Imperial Palace of Manchukuo. The stunning landscape of winter is what Jilin is most famous for. When winter comes, the roads along the shore of the Songhua River become a dreamlike world of dancing snow and crystalline ice. Changbai Mountain—well-known both inside and outside of China—is also in Jilin. Tianchi Lake, or the “heavenly lake”, is one of the renown sites you can visit on the mountain.
