very good place and clean the pagoda are too attractive and it colour shine like a diamond
it reminds me of the stories of what happened some years ago. you will see the pagoda and alot of old pictures.
A beautiful stop downtown and near the river, Botatoung also has a huge golden stupa but far less of the crowds you'll get at the other stupas.
This stunning, golden Buddhist temple is said to be around 2,500 years old, though it was rebuilt after its destruction in WWII. All that golden interior may be a tad over-whelming at first, but it's still a sight to behold. And it's said to contain the sacred hair of Buddha.
This temple is located alongside the river, slightly off the main tourist path in the city. This means that if you make the effort to come here, you and the locals will pretty much have the place to yourself. It lacks the star quality of Shwedagon Paya, but makes for a nice authentic Buddhist experience for a few hours. The mazy interior of the golden zedi is definitely worth the trip.
What's interesting about this Agoda, besides its history, is that you can enter into the gold plated and carved prayer chambers and if you are lucky, you might be able to see an astrologist there from whom you can get a reading on your future (give donation if you intend to do so). Walk to the riverside afterwards, you can see some daily interesting activities
Its very nice place. Although its poor , but people are nice. Things are low cost.
