St. Mary's Cathedral

St. Mary's Cathedral in Yangon is a huge foreign style church, it seems to be a building built in the colonial period, the whole church environment is quite elegant, here can see a lot of religious characteristics of decoration and layout, design style.

St. Mary's Cathedral in Yangon is located in the center of Myanmar's capital Yangon. The church was built in 1895 and is a new Gothic-style building. It is the largest Catholic church in Yangon and one of the largest churches in Myanmar.

The church is beautiful and displays the British architecture left over from colonial times. It is right next to the Scottish market and is perfect for a short break in (you need a break after shopping in the hot weather). The picture in front of the entrance to the cathedral says the church will open at 2pm. But without any notice, they changed the visit to 3pm. Please note this.

As a person who has not been to the developed countries in the West, St. Mary's Cathedral in Yangon is still a worth seeing attraction. And it is very close to the central railway station, only about 20 minutes walk, I feel that there are still a few people who visit this place, basically went to the church interior, only sporadic one or two people, can fully enjoy the solemnity and magnificence of the church.
