Mangshi Wuyun Si

Wuyun Temple is called "Zanghan" in Dai language, because there are five big green trees in front of the gate, and many egrets perch on the trees for many years, which look like five white clouds from a distance, so it is called Wuyun Temple, and the Dai people call it "Zanghan". That is Jinzi Temple. It is the first Buddhist temple built in Mangshi. In the hall is enshrined the first Buddha statue "Pala Kuomeng" that the former chieftain Fang Dingzheng welcomed into the Mangshi area from Myanmar, which is regarded as a treasure by people. There is a golden pagoda in the temple, which is called "Gongmuhan" in Dai language. During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, the Buddha statue and the golden pagoda were destroyed in the war, and they were all restored later. The roof of the hall is a Xieshan-style overlapping eaves, the upper part is small and the lower part is large. There is a tall Buddha statue on the front of the hall, which is very solemn and quiet. The beams and pillars of the hall are full of Buddha flags and umbrellas, decorated with flowers and pearls, which are exquisite and exquisite. Due to the decoration of various ornaments, plus the installation of chandeliers and ceiling fans, the Buddhist temple looks magnificent. The golden pagoda in the temple is composed of 8 small pagodas surrounding the main pagoda. There are Buddhist niches under each pagoda, and a small Buddha statue is placed inside. The top of each pagoda is hung with copper engraved tassel, and the golden light is flickering. In front of the temple, there is a clear water entering the well. Legend has it that five colorful clouds rose and rose out of the well. Well water is mellow and sweet, flowing in all seasons.
