The area north of Tianchi Lake in Changbai Mountain is known as the North attraction of Changbai Mountain. There are more attractions here than on the West Slope and South Slope, but there are also more visitors.attractionThe Changbai Mountain Waterfall, Julong Spring, and Valley Forest are all classic geological wonders. You can also take a shuttle bus to experience the rapid curves and then overlook the beautiful scenery of Changbai Mountain Tianchi from the steep main peak. Upon entering the attraction, you must first take an eco-friendly bus to the transfer center. From there, you can choose to take the shuttle bus on the left-hand road to view the main peak and Changbai Mountain Tianchi Lake, or take the eco-friendly bus on the right-hand road to view Changbai Waterfall. If the weather is good in the morning, you can go up to the main peak first when there are fewer visitors and take the shuttle bus (usually a Mercedes-Benz van, 20 minutes one-way) to experience the thrill of continuously and rapidly navigating the curves on the winding mountain road. After getting off the shuttle bus, it's about a ten-minute walk uphill to the top. There are two routes, A and B, with signs indicating them. Usually, you take route A to the top and then continue on route B to descend, avoiding backtracking. If time is limited, you can complete route A and then descend directly via the steps between the two routes. Take the eco-friendly bus from the transfer center directly to the waterfall parking lot (10 minutes one-way). Walk up the boardwalk for a short distance to see Julong Spring and Changbai Waterfall.That waterfall is the outlet of Tianchi Lake, and its 68-meter drop is truly spectacular.The hot spring plaza here sells uniquely flavored hot spring eggs, which you can try. You can also wash your hands in the nearby hot spring pool and experience the volcanic hot spring. It's a five-minute drive from the waterfall parking lot by eco-bus.Little Heavenly Lake,Little Heavenly LakeIt's a tranquil little lake, its surface reflecting the elegant forms of the trees. After lingering for a few minutes, you can return along the boardwalk, where you can see the Erdao Baihe River flowing through the narrow canyon. After about 15 minutes of walking, you'll reach the entrance to Green Abyss Pool. There's a large restaurant called Lanjing Fast Food here that offers lunch; it's located within the attraction, but the prices are relatively high. It's a large lake, and we circled around it. An unlimited shuttle bus ticket costs 20 yuan, while a single ride costs 10 yuan. You can hop on and off at any stop. The park is lush with greenery, but the entertainment options are average, as it's not the dead of winter. There are skiing facilities, though.

Changbai Mountain, true to its name, is incredibly clean! The restrooms in all areas were spotless, with sensor-activated flushes and hot water for handwashing – a truly touching experience for an autumn/winter trip. The restrooms had different themes, such as sables and black bears, adding a touch of vibrancy. We arrived a little late; most of the leaves had fallen, and it was the dry season, so the waterfalls weren't at their most beautiful. The small Tianchi Lake wasn't worth visiting yet; it's small, the water quality is so-so, and the surrounding forests are bare. Overall, the autumn air was crisp and clear. The 50-kilometer stretch from the distribution center to the transfer center was beautiful, vibrant with color, and Tianchi Lake was stunning. I especially loved the forest at the bottom of the valley; the pine scent was wonderful! I highly recommend walking to the end; there are vast, fairytale-like forests there, and we were lucky enough to encounter foxes and quite a few chipmunks along the way!

I found out from an online search that the top spot on the Changchun night view rankings is actually the Changchun Zoo and Botanical Garden. The night tickets are more expensive than the day tickets, so I was curious and decided to check it out. Entry starts at 4:30 pm, and the welcoming dance is very lively. The park is themed around Journey to the West, and with the lighting effects, it feels like a lantern festival. The park has stages in many places for various performances and interactions with visitors. It was my first time visiting a zoo and botanical garden and I didn't see any animals because they had already finished their get off work hours at night.

Staying at the Crowne Plaza Hotel allows you to enjoy the hot springs downstairs, with unlimited access every day. The natural hot springs are excellent. Special thanks to Wang Rongmei, the staff member, for their attentive and warm service. This trip was very pleasant and highly recommended. I would love to come back again next time.

The entire scenic area is quite large. It's recommended to allow 2 hours for the Imperial Palace Museum, and the outer area also includes the Northeast Anti-Japanese War Memorial Hall and the M+ Park. Therefore, it's advisable to allow at least 3 hours for the entire scenic area.

Although many say China's Snow Town is becoming too touristy & expensive (compared to Snow Valley), I think it is still worth visiting. There are lots of ACTIVITIES to do all within walking distance. Reindeer rides, feeding, skiing, photo op including the hot water vapor video etc. One down side is that there was no signage to designated bus to/from Yabuli station (no waiting area either). It is also difficult to find restaurants for people with dietary restrictions (eg. Vegetarian, halal etc).

The parks in our great northern region are truly spacious! The "Soaring Through China" attraction at Changchun Film Studio Century City was so breathtaking and exhilarating—an immersive experience of flying through the air! I wanted more after watching it, but unfortunately, time was too tight for a second visit. Here are some tips: Plan your time well in advance, ask the staff for directions to find the best queueing routes, and queue at different times for each attraction, taking breaks in between. Don't rush; this will allow you to enjoy the experience at your own pace 😊. Unfortunately, we were having so much fun that my child's ID card slipped and got lost! Haha, a small regret. Good luck to everyone coming after us! 😂
