The LIVINA I rented at Kaohsiung Airport had 57,000 km on it. It was noisy from the engine and drivetrain, and overall, it didn't seem to be in great condition. However, the spacious trunk was roomy enough to accommodate two large suitcases and three smaller ones. A staff member greeted me and provided a brief explanation on the airport sofa, along with paperwork. Upon returning the vehicle, the receiving staff inspected it at a pre-arranged location. The E-Gate toll fee was paid in cash on delivery.

The car had minor scratches, but they didn't affect driving. The staff spoke good English. We scheduled a 9:00 AM pickup, but the driver arrived at 9:30 AM. It seemed like he had just started work and arrived earlier.🤣 Actually, it wasn't a big deal, just a little surprising and worried about being scammed. Since the company doesn't have a counter at the airport, it was confusing waiting for our car. It's best to download WhatsApp for emergencies or add them on Line to reschedule. My sister called them, and they told us to wait at Gate 8; he arrived shortly. Alternatively, the airport information desk could help. The car does seat 9 people in a 3-3-3 configuration, although the driver might be a bit cramped in the front row. The luggage compartment is spacious. The car worked well for our 4-day trip. Fuel cost almost 1200 baht, and tolls were about 30 baht. When returning the car, we paid 1200 baht for fuel and tolls. Actually, we spent 1400 baht on fuel, but they checked the mileage when we picked up and returned the car, so we didn't actually use that much. At first, I was confused and worried they might be losing money. Overall, I was impressed; the car was reasonably priced.

We picked up and returned the car from Kaohsiung Station, both times from the adjacent paid parking lot. We were late leaving the parking lot when picking up the car, incurring a $20 charge, which the rental company can deduct from the final payment. We consistently communicated with the rental company via Line, and they were very responsive and helpful, addressing issues such as the new street parking fees and paying parking fees together. The car was also very well-equipped, with a phone holder, rearview camera, car navigation, and a speed camera app – all very practical features. Even the major rental companies we've rented from in Taiwan for years don't offer these amenities. The staff at the pick-up and drop-off points were very helpful and punctual. Upon return, they proactively helped connect CarPlay and took photos of the car exterior, sending them to me via Line. Before returning the car, we informed them of the final parking and toll fees. Overall, this rental experience was very pleasant; we enjoyed high quality at a relatively affordable price, making it excellent value for money. We will definitely book with Ching Chuan Kang again next time.
