My trip to Xi'an was wonderful. This city has a long history (1.5 million BC – Tang Dynasty), the people are very kind, the food is delicious, and the cost of living is relatively low, although tourist attractions have high ticket prices. This trip coincided with an anti-Japanese protest in Xi'an. Although the methods used to vandalize Japanese cars and shops were inappropriate, it truly inspired national pride. Overall, this trip was fantastic!

Reviews: Beijing Jinshanling Great Wall private chartered tour [one family one group/door-to-door pickup + professional driver]

We had a wonderful day at the Jinshanling Wall with our family. Our private driver was ready well in advance, even though we had arranged to meet early (6:00 AM). She dropped us off quickly and safely at the Jinshanling gate and told us she would wait for us. We could send a message when we were back down. On the wall, it was very quiet at the beginning; it was very nice to be able to cover a section without many people. When we were finished and came down, we messaged the driver and she was indeed waiting downstairs, as agreed. Afterwards, at our request, she took us to a lunch spot, where we had a delicious meal. Then we continued our journey back to Beijing with the driver. The return trip took a very long time, but we chatted a bit with the driver in between using the translation app. We had a wonderful day!

The truth is, the excursion was amazing. Our driver, Dong Xuefei, was incredibly kind to us. He was so attentive and showed us so many things during the car ride. Thanks to him, the experience was much more enjoyable, and we are very grateful. As for the Great Wall, we were practically alone, and he recommended several ways to visit it. In the end, we took his advice and didn't regret it at all. It was a perfect 10/10 experience.

Cannot recommend this more! Sunset was excellent and having plenty of time to explore the wall between drop off and pickup allowed us to see unrefined parts of the wall. Jackie was super flexible, allowing us to grab some food after the hike and taking us back to Beijing once we were ready. Just book it already.
