- Attraction Introduction -
Yangmingshan National Park
Yangmingshan National Park exhibits both subtropical and warm temperate climate zones due to its latitude and elevation, with distinctly pronounced monsoon characteristics.
In early spring during February and March, the weather in Yangmingshan alternates between warm and cold. As winter camellias and plum blossoms fade away, mountain cherries, azaleas, Hydrangea chinensis, Taipei violets, Disporum sessile, and Lagerstroemia subcostata take center stage. Tall trees sprout tender buds, painting the landscape with vibrant red, pink, white, yellow, and green hues that dispel winter's gloom and monotony, transforming the earth into a breathtaking sight. Under the influence of the southwest monsoon in summer, afternoon thunderstorms occasionally occur. When misty rains clear, rainbows often arch across mountain valleys, making post-rain Yangmingshan even more dazzling.
In October when fall arrives, the silvergrass forms a sea of flowers swaying in the wind, complemented by red maple leaves and golden tree foliage, creating the famous "Datun Autumn Scenery." During winter, affected by the northeast monsoon, Yangmingshan often experiences chilly drizzles, low temperatures, high humidity, and misty fog, presenting a uniquely picturesque scene.
