After entering the country, follow the instructions to Taoyuan Airport MRT, you will see the booth when you enter the MRT station, and you will quickly get the purple plastic coin to take the bus. Buying tickets online doesn't require you to queue up, and it's cheaper than buying on-site. I wanted to buy through this route on the return trip, but after placing the order, I wanted to pick up my tickets at the airport MRT station at Taipei Station, but the booth would not even be open. It has written that it opens at 9am on weekdays Monday to Friday, but Monday at 10am to write that it is suspended that day, asking people to return tickets through the platform, it is really helpless.

If you go down to the 2nd basement level from Terminal 2, there is an exchange area before you enter the MRT platform. It is very convenient as you can access all subway lines from there.

Avail it with discount and much lower than the other travel app. Haven’t use it yet because my trip is by November but this Taiwan pass really helps with my itinerary a lot.

This was my first visit to Taiwan. I used the Taipei Unlimited Pass on the second and third days of my 3-night, 4-day solo trip. On the second day, I went from Taipei to Houtong to enjoy the cats, then strolled through the retro streets of Shifen and released lanterns, strolled through the retro streets of Jiufen and enjoyed taro balls, returned to Taipei to get a pineapple cake, and got a Longhu Night Market cup in Ximending. On the third day, I went to Taipei, explored the zoo, took the cable car to Maokong, visited the National Palace Museum, visited Taipei 101, and returned to Taipei. It was my first time in Taiwan, but thanks to the pass, I was able to visit many different tourist spots at a great price, making it the best trip to Taiwan ever.

One of the first things I recommend getting when visiting Taiwan is an EasyCard. It makes getting around so much easier, especially if you’re using the MRT and buses frequently. You can also use it at convenience stores and for other small purchases, so you don’t have to keep taking out cash. I bought mine in trip.com, and redeem at airport. Super convenient and definitely worth having for a hassle-free trip. My rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Definitely a must-have travel essential in Taiwan!
