Lugu Lake is absolutely stunning this season! [Wow] The sunset and morning mist are breathtaking. Although the mountain roads are rugged, the driver was incredibly steady, preventing me from getting carsick at all. The service throughout the trip was also excellent and very considerate. This was a very well organised trip! Mr Da Yang our driver took such good care of us. Even though he couldn’t speak English, he communicated with us using the WeChat in app translation feature which was very effective - communication on meet up times and locations were very clear. If you’re looking for a relaxed trip where you don’t feel rushed and don’t feel the need for a heavily guided tour, this will be perfect for you. Lunch was really good too - home style Chinese food, very tasty. Using WeChat is a must of course for a seamless experience with the driver and company. Overall, it was wonderful and unforgettable. Thank you so much!

Our driver was a handsome guy who also acted as our tour guide. Don't underestimate him; he was very responsible. The drive from Lijiang to Lugu Lake took a little over three hours and was smooth. He also provided detailed explanations of the attractions. The itinerary didn't involve much walking; we mostly traveled by car between attractions. Lugu Lake is beautiful. It's definitely worth the journey if you don't mind the distance. We didn't get back to Lijiang until almost 8 pm, so the round trip took about seven hours. Thank you to the driver!

A huge thank you to our guide Jennifer and driver Lai for giving us a wonderful day trip to Lugu Lake and the Mosuo culture! Driver Lai drove incredibly smoothly; despite the 7-hour round trip on winding mountain roads, we didn't experience any motion sickness. The car was also very spacious and comfortable. Driver Lai was also very patient, stopping at several scenic spots along the way for us to take photos. Thank you so much for driving today! Jennifer is the best guide I've ever met in China. She's knowledgeable, polite, and well-mannered! She shared many interesting stories and anecdotes about the Naxi and Mosuo people. I've always been curious about the "Kingdom of Women," and today, after visiting the museum and a rare visit to a Mosuo family, I finally gained a deeper understanding of the Mosuo's walking marriage culture. I think they are a very wise people! This morning, we saw an absolutely dreamy reflection of Lugu Lake—it was truly beautiful! The steamed stone goby for dinner was freshly caught and cooked—very fresh and delicious! It was also the first time I'd ever seen and eaten "water hyacinth" (a type of seaweed), which was incredibly tender and delicious. The entire trip was very comfortable and well-paced, with Jeniger attentively catering to our needs. She provided practical advice on any questions we had or requests for recommendations on attractions or products, making her a trustworthy and excellent tour guide! Thank you so much!
