If you want a feel of Naxi culture beyond the touristy spots in the old town, Fancy’s cooking class is an absolute must for anyone visiting Lijiang!
The market tour will leave you with in-depth knowledge about all the ingredients of the Yunnan cuisine and a unique insight into the inner works of local life. After the tour, return to Fancy’s cozy kitchen to whip up a delicious, 3 star Michelin, authentic Naxi meal! And don’t forget to drop by the lovely French bakery for a coffee and the best croissants in all of Lijiang 😋
Fancy is an incredibly host with a deep knowledge and passion for sharing her culture with others. The tour was incredibly well organized and planned, and was the highlight of our entire Yunnan trip. We cannot recommend Fancy’s cooking class enough!!★

An above-average dance and musical with dinner. If you have nothing else to do in the evening, it is a relaxing treat. Nice place and architecture.★

So, it was a nice event, but different from the description. First, I received a message via WeChat stating that makeup, hair, and costume weren't included. I sent a screenshot, and then it was all added back, and I received an address. Upon arrival, I was shown to my venue, and then it was time to change. I could choose clothing and accessories from different historical periods, but that was it. Hair and makeup weren't provided anywhere. You could take pictures in the restaurant with its pretty decorations, and there was also a game where you could even win something (you needed 20 winning tickets), which was practically impossible. Then we went to eat (hot pot and free tea; everything else cost extra), and the show with lots of dance performances started. It was exciting and funny, which is pretty much in line with the description 🤷. Luckily, there were a few Singaporeans there who could explain things to me in English; the translation was amusing.★
