Perfect location - just 15/20 minutes by speedboat from Malé Airport, with a convenient round-trip transfer option (USD 110), ideal if you prefer to avoid long travel times.
The food was delicious, with buffet options available at one of the restaurants if you’re on a meal plan. Otherwise, there are several other restaurants on the island to explore.
The island has a wide range of villas, and you can swim freely around different areas. Standard rooms are a bit small but all are beach-facing right from the door, which is a big plus. Deluxe rooms are more spacious, though not all offer a direct beach view you may need to step outside to enjoy it.
Marine life is a highlight - different parts of the island offer unique underwater experiences, including colorful fish, small sharks, and beautiful coral reefs.
The staff were friendly and attentive. Rooms were cleaned twice daily, and the entire island was well-maintained and spotless throughout our stay.
One minor downside is that seaplanes frequently pass overhead since the island is close to the airport, which may be noticeable at times.
Overall, a fantastic stay with great service, vibrant marine life, and a lively atmosphere.
The room was absolutely satisfying – quite spacious with a large and comfortable double bed. The sea view from the balcony was excellent. The ground floor (G level) houses the restaurant, while what Trip.com calls the 'first floor' rooms (standard sea view rooms) are actually on the second floor. Deluxe sea view rooms, which are slightly more expensive, are on the third floor and above. The hotel guests are a mix of Europeans/Americans and Chinese. The front desk staff spoke English and I experienced no discrimination whatsoever. Some reviews mentioned that higher floors were given to Westerners, but perhaps they just booked a second-floor room to begin with. Actually, the second-floor rooms are also beautiful, perfectly level with the palm trees. Because Trip.com noted my booking as a 'first floor' room (which is actually the second floor, as the actual first floor is the 'G' level with only the restaurant and front desk, no rooms), I specifically requested a deluxe sea view room on a higher floor than the first, and I was given a room on the fifth floor with an amazing view. When arriving by speedboat, a dedicated staff member was there to pick us up. Although it was only about 200 meters, the hotel still used a golf cart for us and a three-wheeled vehicle for our luggage, delivering everything directly to our room after check-in. When departing, the front desk booked our speedboat tickets for us. The front desk manager personally saw us off to the golf cart and politely asked about our stay experience. The staff carried our luggage all the way to the boat. The service was truly superb.
On our first day, we went out to sea, and I left my underwear on the bed since I was wearing my swimsuit. When we returned, the room had been cleaned, and my pajamas and underwear were neatly folded and arranged on the bed. Because the room attendant was male, my daughter and I felt a bit embarrassed. For the following days, we put up the 'Do Not Disturb' sign, and after returning in the afternoon, we only requested fresh towels and water refills. The staff would still often ask if we needed our room cleaned – the service was truly outstanding.
The ground floor breakfast area has plenty of seating, and breakfast starts at 6:30 AM, which is perfect for not delaying our excursions. There's a wide variety of food, including egg pancakes and corn pancakes that cater to Chinese tastes. I didn't pre-book dinner, but there was a good selection, costing $20 per person, and cash payment was accepted. There are many island excursions available, offering plenty of deep-sea experiences and photo opportunities. All in all, my experience at Kaani Hotel on Maafushi Island was fantastic, and I highly recommend it.
Seaview is a must if you will be choosing any of the Kaani hotels' room. Seaview rooms are often in demand and on high prices but lucky enough to be able to book 2 days during peak season, same day. Staff and excursion teams are very helpful, theybreally do their best to take care of you. Team Octopus(excursion team) really takes care of you and get you nice pictures and videos of the excursion. 1 day tour is a must to get in Maafushi Island. Bfast is decent but dont eat too much if you will be doing the sharkbay tour as you will be proned to seasick. 5 days travel to Maldives as a whole is a enough.
Centara Ras Fushi Resort & Spa is a beautiful Maldives getaway just a short boat ride from Malé. The overwater villas are spacious with stunning lagoon views, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Food is good, though the buffet can get repetitive. Some areas have ongoing construction, and the house reef is limited for snorkeling. Overall, it’s a comfortable mid-range resort offering great value and a relaxing experience.
Had a really nice stay here. You can tell the hotel is pretty new because everything still feels fresh and well taken care of. The rooms and common areas were clean and nicely set up. The staff were great throughout the stay, always polite and helpful whenever needed. The amenities were also solid and added to the overall comfort. One standout was the restaurant, easily one of the best on the island. The food was great, prices were reasonable, and it stays open late, which was really convenient. Overall, it was a smooth, hassle-free experience. Would definitely consider staying again.
A Dreamy Island Escape at Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa
From the moment I arrived at the Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa, I was greeted with warmth and genuine smiles, making me feel instantly at home. The staff went above and beyond to ensure every detail of my stay was perfect — from helping with my luggage to offering personalized recommendations for activities. Their hospitality truly elevated my experience and made me feel valued throughout my stay.
I have traveled to over 50 countries and stayed in countless 5-star hotels, yet this is by far my favorite hotel. Every aspect, from the serene atmosphere to the attentive service, exceeded all expectations. Dining at the resort was a culinary delight, with seven restaurants and bars offering diverse international cuisines and refreshing cocktails. They also have on-site spa
Whether I was seeking adventure with activities like snorkeling and jet skiing or simply relaxing on the beach, the Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa offered an idyllic setting. The attentive staff’s care and hospitality made my stay unforgettable — truly a paradise made perfect by the people who run it.
The staff were all great. The only issue was that as a family of four, there were no triple rooms available, so we had to book two double rooms. The sea view was decent, but the rooms and beds were too small, so the sleep quality wasn't the best.
Our vacation at Grand Park has come to an end, and I'd love to share my thoughts 🌴.
First off, this was our first time in the Maldives, and we were absolutely thrilled.
We stayed in two types of villas: lagoon and ocean water. They are completely identical and face each other.
The lagoon villa has a huge advantage: it's practically wind-free. All the ocean breeze is absorbed by the ocean villas. The lagoon side offers sunset views, while the ocean villa offers sunrise views.
The ocean villas definitely have a better view; from the lagoon, you can see several islands, including the neighboring Hilton.
The rooms are very clean and were serviced twice a day. Linens were changed upon request, towels were fresh, and all necessities were provided: slippers, a beach bag, and umbrellas.
Upon arrival, we immediately picked up masks, snorkels, and fins for the entire duration of our stay (these are complimentary). By the way, the watersports equipment rental manager speaks Russian and was very helpful and friendly.
We brought water shoes with us but never used them. We always snorkeled with fins, and when we just swam from the villa, we couldn't even reach the bottom. They might be useful if you enjoy beach holidays and swimming from the shore, as the ocean entry there is indeed full of corals and shells, but we're just not fans of sand and didn't even go there.
The reef is excellent; not quite the Philippines, of course, but there was still plenty to see. On the very first day, we spotted an eagle ray swimming right next to us – this was on the reef near the watersports rental, which I highly recommend for snorkeling as it's far less crowded than the reef near the villas.
We wanted to go on an excursion to see nurse sharks, but a 'white flag' (meaning strong winds) was declared for all the days of our stay, so all excursions and even jet skis were canceled.
We were very happy with the food. Breakfasts were quite varied, only lacking in meat (cold cuts or sausages; only pork options were available). We mostly had lunch in our villa, and it was delivered quickly. Dinner was also diverse; you definitely won't go hungry.
All the staff were incredibly friendly, very open and responsive. Everyone smiled and greeted us, and the main phrase of our trip to the Maldives was “enjoy,” which we heard constantly 🥰 and we certainly did!
The only excursion we managed to do was swimming on the floating platform, which we highly recommend. We took the package for $129, which included 4 cocktails + 3 snacks. We expected something like canapés, but they brought out full-sized dishes! It even ended up being cheaper than our usual dinner 😂. We ate our fill and enjoyed a beautiful sunset, and the photos there are amazing! You can stay there as long as you like, there’s no time limit. We recommend going at sunset around 4:30 PM or even 5:00 PM when the sun has already set to avoid the heat.
The hotel is stunning, with very well-maintained grounds. The beach was constantly being cleaned, things were being trimmed, transported, and repaired – they were busy working all day long! There are many lizards on the property, and the Maldivian heron was also frequently seen))
The vacation was 10/10, the hotel was 10/10 – simply a perfect paradise! 🩵🌴
We left feeling incredibly grateful ✨
The room was very clean and beautiful. If you need to go to the beach, you can tell the front desk and they will get you a lounge chair, umbrella and towel. Breakfast was said to start at about 7:30 in the morning, but I could eat it when I went downstairs at 7:20. I made an appointment with the front desk for a sea fishing trip, and they will grill the fish for you when you return to the hotel restaurant. It's just that my booking said sea view room, but actually there is no sea view.
The hotel itself is beautifully designed and located in a dreamlike setting. However, in certain areas, the resort occasionally shows its age, suggesting potential for minor modernizations here and there.
We stayed in a water villa, which was very well-equipped and exceptionally comfortable. A particular highlight was the impressive variety of fish that could be observed right outside – a true standout feature.
Some beach sections were less visually appealing, for example, due to visible drainage pipes. This, however, did not affect the water villa area. With a bit more attention to detail, these areas could certainly be made more harmonious.
Cleanliness throughout the resort was exemplary. Fresh beach towels were always available, and our room was even cleaned twice a day – which we greatly appreciated.
Most of the staff were exceptionally polite and eager to make our stay pleasant. Occasionally, some individuals seemed a bit reserved or less engaged, but this was balanced out by the friendliness and professionalism of the other staff members. Overall, we felt that efforts were made for our well-being.
During meals, drinks were offered very attentively. At times, we were asked multiple times if we wanted to order wine, cocktails, or other beverages. Since we felt the prices were on the higher side, we consciously declined. A slightly less insistent approach would have been more comfortable for us.
At the bar in the evening, we would have liked a more atmospheric ambiance. It was quite dark in places, and subtle lighting of the beach section or, for example, a fire pit, could have added extra warmth and harmony to the atmosphere.
Overall, we still enjoyed our stay and thank you for the relaxing time. With a few small adjustments, we believe the experience could be further enhanced.

GGuest UserBest stay ever in Maldives! My fourth trip to Maldives, but this stay is the best. Beautiful water villa with pool and very clean and comfortable. Joey was at the reception when I checked in and she was very patient to explain on use of app and things to note. The experience at Hardrock Cafe was fantastic, great food and music. There are 3 islands connected and you can see sunrise and sunset near the Pavilion. The staff at Pavilion (Mr Sunil Giri )was so kind to help me take some pictures with the sunset. There are many shops like canvas painting, pottery making etc to participate in. The staff at merchandise shop (Mr Aalif) beside Hard Rock Cafe has a sense of humour and made one shopping experience a great one! Kudos to all the staff and recommend everyone be it solo or families to choose the hotel, you will never regret! Lastly thanks to the hotel for giving me a bottle of champagne and a birthday cake to make the stay a memorable one!
GGuest UserIn our opinion, this hotel feels a bit like a Turkish resort. Since we came here after staying at Tinadhoo, the differences were quite noticeable. The restaurant doesn't have a great view, but the variety of food is decent, and there's a kids' corner. Buggies transport guests around the island, which is very convenient and fun for children. What we didn't like is that because of this, there are a lot of concrete paths, so you can't walk barefoot. The service was a bit disappointing; it felt very mass-produced. They didn't respond about our transfer or contact us themselves, so we had to find their counter at the airport on our own and call the hotel. This was probably because we weren't arriving by plane. We also didn't receive a welcome bag, and the bed for the third person was only made up after we called reception. These are minor things, but you tend to notice them more at a resort. Overall, we liked our villa; it wasn't new, but everything was well-maintained. In front of our villa was a lagoon, and beyond that a breakwater, so there wasn't really an ocean view. However, thanks to the breakwater, the lagoon was very calm. There's a reef, but it's quite monotonous; the corals are brown and all look the same, and you can only swim over them at high tide. There are large fish and stingrays, so there's enough to see for a couple of days. Overall, it's not bad, but we definitely wouldn't return. It would probably be a good choice for families with children, though, due to its proximity to the airport and kid-friendly amenities.
AAnonymous UserMy first vacation to a resort and Saii made it quite very perfect.

Ferry: They do reach out to you for arrangements via email. However, replies will be very delayed. We were fortunate to have our hotel from another island we were staying at, arranged everything for us with Saii directly. Eventually, we only got their reply when we have already gotten to the Saii island.
Room: Spacious, clean and very well-equipped. Had life vests, beach slippers (some rooms had entirely new pairs with tags still on), drying racks, cigar tray, beach bag, beach towels, and so much more.
However, ceiling fan only has a on/off switch, which would often be set on low. To change the speed, you would have to tug on the little chain on the fan (image attached). It’s hard for me as i’m vertically challenged LOL. I also was unfortunate to have some issues on cleanliness at my first room but the room on my second night was perfect. My brother’s room was perfect throughout our stay too.
Food: Variety was great as we had not just Saii, but hard rock across the bridge and also the marina that had multiple international options. Breakfast variety was great too.
Beach/Pool: Always had a beach chair available on whichever beach we went to. Absolutely love the number of jacuzzis at the pools (though the automated version took us some time to figure out). Infinity pool had a really nice warm water pool.
Accessibility: Saii has everything at your finger tips literally. At check-in, they would get you to download an app. On it, you can have chats with their respective services like housekeeping, activities center, front counter etc. You can also request for amenities for your room if you require additional or specific ones. They get to you SO FAST. Never waited longer than 5 minutes before i hear someone at the door. You can also request buggy transport (but it really takes quite awhile so plan 20 mins in advance).
Marine-life: It’s reclaimed land, so snorkeling, as expected would be boring. If you are snorkeling near the shore or at certain beach, you would prob see nothing in the day or just a couple varieties. For those comfortable to venture out to the reef-cliff near the boundary marker, you would see more lively scenes but nothing fascinating. That said, we were shocked to have swum so close to a huge reef shark near the marker when we went out at 8am.
Tip: If you are keen to catch dolphins (like me), this resort is perfect. One of the few that gives you a perfect view of a huge pod of dolphins swimming by. Catch them from the Pool at poolside bar around 5pm -5.30pm. Not a daily occurrence, but they do go by in huge pods, and stay up to 30 mins in the area upfront. That is the time they usually make their way out back to deeper waters.
At night, go to the bridge connecting to hard rock. Big nurse sharks and some rays can be seen right by it. But that beach in the day, is very uneventful aside from the water activities.
GGapOlkaA hotel with high European standards of service and a pleasant staff. It's located right next to the pier where sharks and rays swim up in the evenings. Since I didn't feel like eating much in the morning, the staff packed me a breakfast in a lunchbox. It's a shame I only stayed there for one day.
Kkellyy56Very nice and comfortable accommodation. Went with a friend of mine back in October 2023, and we were greeted by a warm friendly receptionist and a clean lobby. Our room was on the second floor, with very comfortable beds, toilets, and necessary amenities. Except that the sink's tap water smelled a little funny which we avoided using. However the reception was quick to send over whatever we requested, like water, clean towels etc. Would definitely book again if i ever visit Himmafushi again next time!
