Main building is lovely and cosy with its open fires on a winter's evening, although it's a shame that the bar closed around 9pm and the main building by 10pm, so I had to go and sit in my room, which was in an outside block and quite cold, especilally because there was quite a gap at the bottom of the main door. The rooms are comfortable with lovely decor. I used the spa the next morning, which was small but relaxing. It would be great to be able to get a discount as a guest at the hotel.

Exceeded my expectations! The service attitude, room facilities, and even the free shuttle bus to the airport were all fantastic! If you're looking for a hotel near Melbourne Airport, I highly recommend staying at Mantra. (The rooms were also newer and bigger than I imagined, which was a pleasant surprise! The front desk staff were super friendly too – so much better than the Mantra at Sydney Airport 🙇)

It’s situated in a beautiful vineyard setting, with sweeping valley views, rolling hills, good gardens. Rooms are modern, nicely styled (eucalyptus / terracotta tones), comfortable, with good views especially in newer suites.

Not many options in Mildura so i'd say this is one of the best so since the range is short the prices are high in general.

The location was perfect, only 60 kilometers from AVV airport, a good opportunity to get familiar with right-hand drive cars and have the whole place to myself before the rest of the group the next day. The hotel had a fully equipped kitchen, and there was a convenience store at the gas station next door, so breakfast was no problem. There was a Chinese restaurant to the north of the hotel that stayed open very late. Getting up early in the morning, the river across from the hotel was shrouded in mist, like a fairyland.

I loved the location — it’s set in a comfortable part of the Docklands with a shopping centre nearby. The room and bed were very good, providing a comfortable stay. However, my only disappointment was the cleanliness: many surfaces, including the cups, had fingerprints and grease marks, which suggested a lack of proper cleaning. I ended up cleaning them myself. That said, the staff were excellent — especially at the front desk, where they were professional, welcoming, and very helpful.

Pool was fantastic albeit over chlorinated (my silver jewelry oxidised instantly so ladies please remember to take your jewelry off). Location was good. Room was clean and bed was comfy. The cons: no free water bottles in the room. Charging ports were not next to the bed so unable to charge our phones close to us overnight. And the bathroom is not fully private (sliding doors and large gap between the door and the wall meant you couldn’t fully close it and it’s a little awkward when you’re staying with business colleagues!)

DDazhanhongtuLOverall, it was quite good. As described, the bed was relatively narrow. It's very close to the terminal and offers airport shuttle service, with staff even helping with luggage. During peak times, you can self-check-in.

SSivatreeThis used to be my top choice for hotels in Melbourne for years, but this trip was quite disappointing. The carpets were old, and the closet door creaked and wouldn't close properly. What was even more frustrating was that housekeeping didn't come to clean for two days straight. Coming back to an uncleaned room after a day out was a real mood killer. I had to call multiple times to finally get it arranged. The breakfast coffee was decent, but the variety of dishes was limited. The Chinese options were tucked away in the very corner; the char siu bao and fried noodles were extremely salty, and the pork in the siu mai was very fishy. This is the first time I've had to complain about a hotel I chose myself... 😑

SSolomon LoOn 24/6 I ordered fried eggs during breakfast, yet the quality of the eggs were not up to standard, yolk was not normal and with no taste at all, yet I ordered same on the next day with a different chef, that was back to a normal egg, I wondered Sheraton would use such quality of eggs! Another opinion is that gym room facilities are not enough, thanks!

JJace369I recently stayed at Novotel Melbourne on Collins, and overall it was a great experience. The location is unbeatable — right in the heart of the city, with easy access to shops, cafes, and public transport. The rooms were clean, modern, and comfortable, with large windows overlooking Collins Street. The bed was very cozy and ensured a good night’s sleep. Staff were friendly and helpful, especially at check-in — they made everything smooth and welcoming. Breakfast had a good variety of options, and the dining area was bright and pleasant. The gym and facilities were well-maintained, though the pool was a bit small. Overall, it’s an excellent choice for both business and leisure stays. The combination of great location, comfort, and professional service makes it one of the best value stays in Melbourne CBD.

VVSingLocation: The hotel is situated in a very quiet area, perfect for a peaceful getaway. Nights were serene with barely any car noise. It’s about a 10-minute drive to a nearby mall with Coles, Kmart, and other essentials—super convenient. For travelers, it’s around 40 minutes from the airport, which is manageable. Cleanliness: This was a mixed bag. Upon entering, we noticed a burnt iron mark and several purple stains on the carpet. We made sure to report these to reception immediately due to the $300 AUD bond fee, to avoid being held responsible. Being close to a lake or river meant encountering mosquitoes and some large flies. We also found spiders in the bathroom, but we managed to catch and release them outdoors. Towels provided were an issue—one was dirty when we checked in, and even the replacement towel the next day had stains. However, the beds were spotless, which was a relief. Service: The front desk staff were excellent—friendly, thorough, and accommodating. They explained all the amenities, including the location of the gym and pool, and handled our late checkout request graciously. Facilities: Although I didn’t personally use the gym or pool, the in-room facilities stood out. The smart TV was a bonus, with access to YouTube, Disney+, and Prime Video, ensuring entertainment for the family. Room: The two-bedroom apartment was incredibly spacious, with two bedrooms flanking a central living room. Each bedroom had its own bathroom, complete with an exhaust fan to keep the heat out. The beds were the highlight—so soft and comfortable, providing an excellent night’s sleep. Overall: While the initial issues with bugs were unpleasant (I dislike insects), once we cleared them out, the stay became very enjoyable. The spacious layout, serene environment, and cozy beds made it a pleasant experience overall.

FFengxinzi168This is my first time staying at such a great hotel for this price – excellent value for money! I was amazed when I walked into the room. The bathroom was spacious and clean, with a bathtub where you could soak while watching TV. There was also a separate walk-in closet. The bed was really comfortable; I don't like beds that are too soft, and this one was just right. You could see a bit of the river from the window. Overall, I'm very satisfied, and it will be my top choice next time I'm in Melbourne. There are plenty of restaurants downstairs, and The Meat & Wine Co. there is delicious.

AACA place for rejuvenate and value for money. Location: we did not rent a car, but can go there from CBD by train (30 mins) and bus (10 mins). If you catch the 496 bus from Laventon, it takes a 8 mins walk to the hotel off the bus stop, If you take 497 from Williamslanding, it takes 18 minutes, but you can shop at the centre (Coles, Aldi, K-Mart and Chinese supermarket), eat at different restaurants, and have manicure or massage. Facilities: the unit is well equipped with cooking utensils, we cooked our breakfast. There is no buffet breakfast but a la carte menu at the country club. The country club has gym and swimming pool too. Nearby attraction: we went to Werribee zoom, Weribee Park, Werribee Mansion, Joseph's resturant. The zoo has a safari bus which is a great attraction. Staff: the staff is helpful. We requested a lake view room one day before. They helped us by calling the cleaner as our check in day is a public holiday. Much appreciated.

GGuest UserCheck in was a little confusing at first, as our booking did not initially appear in the system. After some investigation, it turned out to be a system mix-up and everything was resolved. Once checked in, we were directed to guest services, where staff walked us through a map of the resort and explained the amenities, which was helpful. However, this was also when a sales pitch was introduced for attending a 90-minute seminar about their resort club, with offers such as restaurant credits. While I understand the business intent, raising this during check in especially while our family was waiting in the car was not ideal. A flyer to review at our own time would have been more appropriate. The pool was excellent, and the go karts were a highlight. The track is well designed and suitable for all ages. One disappointment was the playground: it was shown on the resort map and mentioned at check in, but after searching for it we discovered it had been removed and is now just an empty area. The rooms were clean and spacious, although they are starting to feel a little dated. The decking and outdoor furniture could benefit from a clean and re oil to make the space more inviting. Overall, for a weekend getaway at a discounted rate, the stay was good value.

GgowanchaidotcomWe stayed altogether three nights here. The hotel was converted from a historical building dated back to 1890s . We enjoyed the stay-included breakfast at Alluvial restaurant. It got charming vibe. the King Classic room we stayed is spacious consider it is in zone 1 of Melbourne. The hotel is in walking distance to many of the Melbourne city attractions we are even able to take some rest in the room in our planned city walking trip in the middle of a very hot summer sunny day. The bathroom provides Byredo toiletries which we like. However, the decor is a bit dated and need refreshing and we are not happy with the service level of the staff. For example, the phone handfree function is not working properly; the safe is according to the hotel ”in the process of replacement” and not working either; the call to ”Instant Service” for help often took more than 5-seconds ring especially during the night time. There is even a false fire alert during one of the morning time of our stay. I doubt it is a standard of Intercontinental hotel or a 5-star rated hotel. For whom consider staying at this room type of this hotel, please note the windows is fixed and facing the hallway so the room has 1. no natural sunlight 2. no fresh air and 3. needs closing the curtains all the time if you prefer privacy. Another point worth noting is the bathroom floor is very slippery after bath, I would call it a death trap if you wear the one-off slippers that is provided in the room as you can easily get a slip and fall on the bathroom floor even for a grown adult.
