Romantic Hotels in Melaka State, Malaysia

The hotel is located in town center, close to restaurants and shopping areas. The design may be somewhat dated, but it is well-maintained and clean. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Check-in and check-out are quick and easy. The breakfast offers a wide variety of choices to suit various tastes. The beds are comfortable. Although there are two TVs, they are smaller than expected and cannot connect to personal devices. The swimming pool has beautiful views, and swimming is a good experience. The gym facilities are standard, and the exercise equipment offers breathtaking city views. The room rate is reasonable.

Everything was okay, the apartment was comfortable. However, the room was connected to another, so I could hear people talking and other noises. There was no place to cook, which the owner didn't provide, even though the pictures showed one. The lift was incredibly frustrating; on the second day, it got stuck, and there was a sudden, loud jolt. Then, on check-out day, two out of the four lifts were broken, making us wait almost an hour to get down to the lobby and parking. Seriously, it was exhausting and hot 😣. Only two lifts were working. Aiyoooo, I hope the management can solve this issue. The apartment itself was clean and comfortable, and we got free Netflix, which was a plus.

Stayed overnight. Service was good. Got free cendol following their social media accounts in Instagram and Facebook. Car parking is limited. Room has very small window. Might be claustrophobic to some. Sound proofing was not very good. You can hear people walking in the hallway and even the preparation in the restaurant area (We stayed in room 122 and it was the first room you see right after the door in the ground floor). Mobile data is hard to access inside the rooms as well. They do provide wifi but inside the room was quite slow. Water pressure is quite not strong as I preferred but tolerable. Breakfast has limited choices but all were good. Especially the kuihs. We got welcome drinks and snack when we checked in. Location was really goodand is easy to drive to. Jonker Walk was indeed walkable. Over-all the stay overnight was okay. But I recommend to book rooms with windows 😅

Overall, we had a pleasant stay. The room was spacious with two beds and an extra bed. It was very clean, and the breakfast was good. The only area for improvement was the breakfast seating arrangement. The staff did not consider seating elderly guests closer to the food area, even though there were nearby tables available. It would have been more convenient and thoughtful for senior guests.

Our family of four from Singapore recently stayed at DoubleTree by Hilton Melaka during the Vesak Day long weekend for a short getaway, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The hotel has a beautiful ambiance that immediately makes guests feel welcomed and relaxed. Check-in and check-out were exceptionally efficient, allowing us to maximise our holiday time. What truly stood out was the friendliness and professionalism of the entire team. Every staff member we encountered was approachable, attentive, and genuinely committed to ensuring we had a comfortable stay. The location is excellent, with plenty of dining, shopping, and sightseeing opportunities nearby. The hotel facilities were equally impressive. The swimming pool, fitness centre, and sauna were all well-maintained and provided a great way to relax after a day of exploring Melaka. We particularly appreciated how the team regularly checked in with us to ensure everything was meeting our expectations. It is this level of personalised service that sets the hotel apart. As parents travelling with teenagers, we were pleasantly surprised to find warm food available late at night when our children got hungry. This was an unexpected but greatly appreciated touch. Considering the quality of the facilities, service, and overall experience, the hotel offers excellent value for money. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to return on our next visit to Melaka. the staff were helpful, and friendly. unfortunately, the hotel facilities not well-maintained. Once we checked in the room, we realised that there was no water supply for our rooms (we booked 2 rooms) at that level. the staff then explained there there were some repair/maintenance going on at the hotel hence the supply was off.. after a few attempts, muddy water came out. they promptly arrange for new rooms for us. as we booked the king size rooms (higher tier, though no highest), we were upgraded to their ”better” and more exp room at highest level.. we were delighted... initially.... when we opened the doors.. both rooms reeks of mouldy smell... we gotta open the window to air the room... the flooring also popping and peeling. The shower area also fell short of expectation. in general, super not well-maintained... and I won't ever stay here again until they refurbish /renovated the whole hotel. good things.. got nice view...very prime location.. next door is the mall.. the bed and bedsheets were very comfy. that's about it.

The staffs are helpful and really nice.. location is great to me as i like peaceful surrounding though its quite far from any shops, its still in the reachable distance..just one thing, i thought mini market is 24hrs operation, would be nice if it works that way so that residents dont need to drive outside..overall it was a pleasant stay for me as a solo traveller..
