Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay at The St. Regis Lhasa Resort. A special thanks to front desk staff member Riri for doing her best to coordinate a suitable room according to my request. Also, the butler and maintenance technician resolved an air conditioning issue in the middle of the night. The professionalism, dedication, and enthusiasm of all the staff at The St. Regis Lhasa Resort, from top to bottom, brought warmth and moved us during our time in Lhasa. There's no distinction of 'high or low' among people; hotel guests and staff simply have different roles and responsibilities. The key lies in how guests' concerns are addressed and the attitude and problem-solving approach of the staff when issues arise. We had booked a basic room, but because I'm sensitive to noise, Riri helped us upgrade to a quieter room. The air conditioning in our room would turn on automatically after being turned off. Around 1 AM, the maintenance technician came back and forth three times. Eventually, they decided to turn off the AC's circuit breaker and fix it the next day (which they did). Before we left, they even sent a small gift as an apology. Breakfast was decent, but I'd describe it as exquisite in presentation, bland in taste, and lacking variety. However, I've also tried meals at the Shangri-La Lhasa, the Crowne Plaza Linzhi, and the Songtsam Bason Co Linka, where some ingredients are even transported from Sichuan in advance due to special circumstances. The taste is generally similar across the board. Given the challenging environment, I believe they've done their best to achieve this level. Regarding some of the room's hardware, there's definitely room for improvement, and the hotel itself is aware of this. I hope to see improvements in the future. I forgot to take photos of the hotel.

The location is superb. It's just a few minutes' walk to the Potala Palace. Downstairs, there are plenty of restaurants and shops. The restaurant on the sixth floor offers excellent views of the Potala Palace, perfect for both sunrise and sunset. The room boasts a rare 180-degree view of the Potala Palace, which is a wonderful treat. The hotel facilities are excellent, including oxygen concentrators available for both diffused and nasal use. The service is impeccable; the front desk staff are always incredibly helpful whenever needed. The hotel also has a laundry room and a reading room.

This homestay really exceeded expectations, the decoration style is elegant and beautiful, the facilities are complete, and the bedding is soft and sleeps particularly peaceful. The surrounding environment is quiet and comfortable, and it is particularly healing from the hustle and bustle. The landlord is kind and easy-going, and the answer is very intimate. The living experience is full. It is really worth everyone to stay!

Overall, this hotel is quite good. Its location is very close to the Potala Palace, just a short walk away. It's also not far from Barkhor Street. Parking can be a bit challenging, requiring good driving skills. However, the security guard who directs parking is very nice. The service staff are quite enthusiastic. The breakfast offers a wide variety of choices and was the best hotel breakfast I had during my time in Tibet. I didn't experience the afternoon tea because we arrived at 7 PM. Free oxygen is available, and they even ask for your arrival time in advance and turn on the oxygen machine an hour or two before you get there. The rooms are equipped with a small tea table, which is convenient for tea drinking. In the hallway, there are various tea sets in a disinfected cabinet for guests to use. We also received some complimentary snacks in the room, which were quite good. I didn't get to experience the sleep aid package. All in all, if you're not driving in Lhasa and want to stay downtown, this hotel is a good choice.

This was my first time visiting Tibet, and I chose the Shangri-La. The front desk had a short-haired young lady who was incredibly friendly and even upgraded our room. The welcome fruit and small welcome cakes were a lovely touch. The hotel's medical room was also a lifesaver. When a family member experienced altitude sickness, they immediately got an IV and oxygen. Plus, we could take an oxygen tank back to the room for 780 RMB. The hotel is just a 5-minute walk to the Tibet Museum and a 10-minute walk to Norbulingka. Taxis are also readily available for getting around. The breakfast selection was extensive. While the afternoon tea and dinner options weren't vast, they were all delicious. My only minor complaint would be that upon check-in, no one escorted us to our room or helped with our luggage. For first-time guests, dragging two large suitcases and suffering from altitude sickness, it took a while to find our room.

The Tibetan-style rooms are clean and tidy, and are cleaned daily. They feature a wall-mounted oxygen concentrator and high-quality central diffused oxygen supply for 18 hours. A humidifier is provided in the room to prevent dryness. The bathroom has a separate wet and dry area and a smart toilet. The front desk service is excellent, offering free shuttle service to city attractions in Lexus sedans and Mercedes-Benz business vans, ensuring a safe and comfortable ride. Upon check-in, guests also receive a pot of Rhodiola rosea to help prevent altitude sickness, and there are massage recliners on the second floor to alleviate travel fatigue. The environment is superb, with a strong ******* style and decor, and a ******* cultural experience center on the 5th floor for relaxation. Many foreigners stay here. The breakfast is rich, offering both Chinese and Western options, all delicious and high-quality. They also serve special ******* delicacies like sweet tea, butter tea, ******* noodles, tsampa, and yak yogurt. Overall, I'm satisfied with all aspects, and I'll definitely stay here again when I visit Lhasa.

My stay at Jicai International Hotel (Potala Palace Barkhor Street Branch) during my trip to Lhasa far exceeded my expectations! The location is unbeatable; it's about a ten-minute walk to Potala Palace Square, with Barkhor Street and Jokhang Temple also nearby, making it super convenient to explore the old city. The rooms are equipped with diffused oxygen, which is incredibly helpful for those new to high altitudes, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep and effectively alleviating altitude sickness discomfort. The rooms were clean and tidy, the bedding was comfortable, and the bathroom facilities were top-notch. The front desk manager, Lamu, provided warm and thoughtful service, making check-in efficient. There's also a self-service laundry room, which is very practical for long road trips. The rooftop platform offers distant views of the Potala Palace at night. Overall, it offers great value for money, and I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Lhasa.

What truly left a lasting impression and deeply moved me was the incredibly thoughtful, warm, and professional service provided by our butler, Dekyi (Nancy). She completely redefined my perception of high-end hotel service, making us feel incredibly warm and cared for in the high-altitude environment of the ******* Plateau. Even before our official check-in, Dekyi proactively reached out to us with thoughtful communication, meticulously inquiring about our travel times and specific needs for our stay. Given the unique challenges of Lhasa's high altitude, she patiently provided essential advice on traveling, rest, and diet for high-altitude environments. She even adjusted our room's equipment and prepared oxygen facilities in advance, tailored to our situation, to help prevent altitude sickness. By pre-arranging every check-in detail, she ensured we felt completely reassured and cared for even before we arrived. Upon arrival and during our stay, Dekyi's service continued to be meticulous and attentive in every detail. She was gentle and sincere in her demeanor, yet efficient and reliable in her actions, patiently following up on our experience throughout. She regularly checked on our well-being and meticulously answered all our questions about sightseeing and dining. Whenever we had a request, she was always there to respond immediately and resolve it efficiently and properly. Her service was just right—never intrusive, yet always comprehensive, balancing professionalism with warmth. In the unfamiliar high-altitude environment, Dekyi, with her twelve years of dedication and passion, provided care that felt like family. There was no perfunctory, by-the-book service, only genuine effort. Every single detail showcased the professional caliber of a high-end butler. I truly commend Dekyi (Nancy) for her outstanding service! It's because of dedicated, responsible, and warmly enthusiastic staff like her that our stay on the ******* Plateau was so exceptionally fulfilling and heartwarming. The next time I come to Lhasa, the InterContinental Lhasa Paradise will still be my first choice, and I will definitely be looking for Butler Dekyi again!

1. This is by far the best value, most comfortable, and tastiest hotel in Lhasa. I first stayed here during the Keriya Pass trip and was so impressed that I've returned every time since, and have even recommended it to friends. 2. The service is consistently excellent, the rooms are spacious, and they provide oxygen, humidifiers, and ample heating. The parking lot is also large. 3. The breakfast is incredibly diverse and genuinely delicious – it's got that authentic wok-hei flavor! It's far superior to many five-star hotels that offer variety but lack taste. They even provide convenient individual bread portions for takeaway. 4. I didn't have time to eat fruit at breakfast, so a lovely front desk attendant kindly packed a small box for me. So thoughtful! The fruit was sweet and fresh, and the quality was excellent. 5. Because of this Lhasa hotel, I now only consider staying at Pingcuo Kangsang hotels whenever I'm in Tibet. I truly recommend it!

I chose this hotel because I had an early morning flight the next day; it's about a 10-minute drive from the airport. The rooms are container-style, and the soundproofing isn't great. They're also too small for a family of three, but fine for a one-night stay. As for the scenery, the views of the Yarlung Tsangpo River and the starry sky are absolutely stunning. It would definitely be beautiful in spring with the peach blossoms.
