Hotels With Pools in San Juan-Laventille, Trinidad and Tobago

Hotel ok. Some staff not very accommodating but two menbers of staff Shernia & Nellon lovely people, very kind & helpful The hotel does NOT like you eating or drinking anything that you have bought yourself into the hotel. You are NOT even allowed to sit in the outside area of the restaurant to admire the views eating your own food even when the restaurant is closed! They expect you to buy everything from them. They don’t want to give you plates, cups, bowls or cutlery so you can eat your own breakfast in your room on the balcony. You almost have to beg for it & when you eventually get it, it’s disguised in a bag to take away. The whole eating & drinking situation was ridiculous. The tour company the hotel use are a waste of time, they do not inform you of all the important facts! They are VERY expensive too & you have to pay in US dollars so they charge you way more!!

The room was very spacious, the bed and linens were very comfortable, good water pressure and temperature in the shower, and beautiful view, however the windows were dirty from the outside. Couldn't find the remote for the tv because there wasn't one, took a very long time and several calls before we finally got one to the room... AND the reason given was because we were asking for one after 10 pm.... but I thought this was a very unreasonable excuse to give since we shouldn't even have to be searching for one at all!!!! So a little disappointing there. The breakfast was good, had a variety of local and western dishes, no coffee machine for self service （ but can order one）and most of the waiting staff were friendly. Smooth check in and check out.

When we were leaving the hotel, I said to the very kind doorman that Brix will be one od the key reasons for iur eventual second visit of Trinidad and Tobago. Rooms are spacious, breakfast is outstanding (you can experience reachness of Trinidad cousine). Roof bar is very nice, drinks are very good, food is reasonable, but not to be recomended. Staff is kind and efficient, even for standard of kindest Caribbean country we have visited - Trinidad and Tobago. So, If you chose Port of Spain, Brix is our recomendation.

The space is a 2km away from city center, a short walk isn't a trouble. Restaurant is good, staff at the reception is nice and welcoming. Will definitely stay again.

The service was wonderful, all of the staff were very friendly and helpful…Everything was up to standard. Rooms were very clean, I will definitely recommend the Kapok…Much respect to all the staff, especially little Precious, very honest and respectful, outgoing personality which made our stay perfect!🙏

The room was not a 4-star room. I would rate it as a 2. So old. Smells and looks old. Everything made of metal is covered in rust, lamp shades are all broken. Many surfaces including the bathroom mirror were dirty. Disappointing that the rooftop restaurant was closed the whole time.

Always choose it. I'm business travel. The hotel was international standard. Everywhere was clean. The room was comfortable. Staff was friendly. Food was excellent.
