Overall experience is good, very close to snow park. Only downside is I think that the service is very different from other hotel I went in Japan. We will need to carry our own luggage and they did not help to arrange the luggage to the room after the room is ready.

Wonderful hotel to experience amazing Japanese hospitality. Our family of 4 (2 adults 2 teenagers) stayed in a Japanese style Family room. Each night futon beds were made and in the mornings packed away by staff. The room size was comfortable and has a great view of the ski slopes. I have included a picture of the view from our room with the review. Our stay included delicious buffet breakfast and Japanese dinner. Staff were very helpful and accommodating, enhancing our stay experience. In terms of location, it is about a 15-20 mins walk to the ski fields, through the old town. Nice walk and very manageable. We’ll definitely love to stay again the next time we get to visit beautiful Nozawa Onsen.

Hotel Tangram provides a unforgettable experience with its exotic location next to a ski/snowboard facility, to have supreme services and the thing. I remember most except the skiing part is the onsen, the onsen provides a lovely arrange of tubs various sizes which consume of eg: cold bath tubs indoor warm tubs and an outdoor tub especially if you are lucky there might be snow raining in to the tub and you can witness a special surpirse. overall I believe coming here is a good choice and can guaranteer you a good stay.

The facilities were what stood out at this hotel, from the complimentary red bean soup and crackers post-ski, to the beautiful public and private onsen with free ice pop and coffee milk, to the ping-pong table that our boys enjoyed in the evening. We booked the evening meals package with Ctrip which made it very convenient to have dinner in the hotel. The food was delicious although there was too much of it and it took 90mn to complete the course. I wish there was a casual Japanese restaurant onsite. The two bedroom junior suite gave a lot of extra space and privacy 👍🏻. What we found strange was that our room was ready by 1:30pm and our luggages were in but we weren’t allowed in until 3pm. Please make a conscious effort not to loose the hotel key card as they charge ¥3,000 for a lost keycard. That last note put a dim on our otherwise great stay.

The hotel is 15 minutes away from Karuizawa Station by car. There is a shuttle bus to the pick-up station. You can see the hotel pick-up area when you get off the elevator at the south exit of Karuizawa Station. Please pay attention to it. If you can't find it, you can only take a taxi. I arrived at 2 pm and checked in early. This is a large castle-style resort. My room has a small balcony and flowers are blooming in the courtyard. Although it is not a mountain view, it is not bad. Wendian and Wanping are no longer online in terms of management. It should have been a very good resort before. Now it is old and large in size, with low management level and average business. It feels like barely maintaining. I sat in the room and saw obvious dust everywhere. The hotel's sanitation is just acceptable on the surface and far from Japanese cleaning. It is not a problem of changing rooms. The room is old in color, and the board furniture is very old and low-end. A closer look shows that there is dust everywhere. I actually wiped the dust for half an hour in the Japanese hotel before I could sit down. The hotel has a beautiful environment with three chapels. The gardening is online. The roses are very well taken care of, but it is not the season. It is very pleasant to take a walk, with birds singing and flowers blooming. The hotel has two hot spring areas. The public hot spring has a coupon that allows you to have a drink at the restaurant next to it. Both hot springs are very good and worth soaking in. The dinner is Western food, which is excellent for the price. The breakfast buffet is average. If you don't include meals, you can eat soba noodles next to the public hot spring for dinner. There is also a cafe, but there is no food for breakfast, and there is no convenience store. The room facilities say that there is a safe in the closet, but it is not opened. The curtains are leaking a lot of light and wake up early. The tea bar on the second floor hot spring and the viewing terrace provides very poor things, especially the cappuccino made by the coffee machine splashing everywhere without milk and the coffee is also unpalatable. Check out at 11 o'clock. There is a shuttle bus to the station at 11:10. It's a pity that the surrounding environment is so good that it is much better than Indigo, but it is not well managed. This situation can only get worse and worse until it goes bankrupt.

Although the hotel name says Karuizawa, it is actually in Miyota-cho next door (locals also complained to me because no one came if it was only Miyota). It costs 6,000-7,000 yen to take a taxi from Karuizawa to the hotel. The shuttle taxi arranged by the hotel can only pick up at Miyota Station (take the Shinano Railway, three stations away from Karuizawa). I told the hotel that I wanted to celebrate my mother's birthday, so I prepared greeting cards, desserts and bear towels, but compared with the previous hotels that were not so expensive, it seemed a bit cheap. There is no extra charge for soft drinks and alcoholic drinks in the room refrigerator. They are provided according to the number of people. We have four people staying (four bottles of local apple juice, four bottles of local peach juice, four cans of Suntory oolong tea, four bottles of Perrier, four cans of Karuizawa beer, four cans of Yebisu beer and two bottles of local sparkling wine). The content provided is also a bit average compared to other Japanese hotels of the same price that provide Moët & Chandon champagne. The dinner content is sufficient and delicious, and the chef will come to meet at the end. The marshmallow roasting activity is from 17:00 to 19:00. Check out at 11:00 the next morning, and the hotel also provides free delivery service to Miyota Station.

The nearest ski-in/ski-out hotel to Norikura. The cable car ticket is relatively cheap, 4,000 yen a day. Equipment rental is average, and there is no discount for rooms booked on Ctrip. Breakfast and dinner buffets, with two kinds of sashimi, but a little cold. Be careful of poor digestion if you eat cold sashimi for breakfast. The long line for the dinner buffet is a bit inefficient, it is better to be free to get the dishes you want, or just queue up by dish. The ski slopes in Norikura are good.

The accommodation is clean and there is plenty of parking. However, it is suitable for those who drive on foot. There are no pajamas provided. The bath products, hair care products, and nourishing creams are so good that you might want to buy some to take home. There is a coin-operated washing machine with a wide selection of detergents. The digital door is difficult to open, so you have to wait for the right moment. Overall, it is worth it and a good choice for those who love peace and quiet.

There is a bus transfer from the JR Keke Station to the hotel, and the traffic is quite convenient. The mountain is relatively quiet, the hotel staff is English, the service is in place and warm. There are lakes, woods, mountains, hot springs and snow fields in the resort, where you can enjoy a few days of peace of mind. On the second day of our stay, we went to the far ski resort. The hotel staff helped to book a taxi. We also asked if we need a taxi to return. After confirmation, I also helped the driver to confirm the return time, which greatly helped us communicate with the driver. (There are more local tourists in Japan here, and the English level of restaurants and drivers is limited)

GGuest UserI would like to take a moment to express my sincere appreciation for the excellent service provided by one of your hotel staff members, Ito-san. During my stay in Hirugami No-Mori, Ito-San went above and beyond to ensure that our experience at your onsen/hotel was a memorable one. Despite the language barrier, Ito-san's attentive nature and willingness to go above and beyond to assist me in navigating the area made a significant difference in my stay. Her use of Google Translate to communicate with us was impressive and demonstrated her dedication to providing top-notch service. I was thoroughly impressed with her professionalism, positive attitude, and exceptional customer service skills, which were evident in every interaction I had with her. Her talent is remarkable, and I hope that your hotel will continue to support and develop her professionally. Please convey my heartfelt appreciation to Ito-san, and please recognize her outstanding work. She is a true asset to your onsen/hotel, and I look forward to visiting again in the future. Thank you for providing me with a memorable experience, and I wish you and your team continued success.

JJarl SolangeA beautiful ryokan that offers a respite from the crowds at the monkey pool. The service was flawless, the food was amazing and the onsen a highlight for my partner. I liked the snow-covered garden and the view of the mountains from my balcony. Be aware that the ryokan is family friendly so you may be eating your nine-course kaiseki to the sounds of screaming toddlers.

GGuest UserI stayed on the lake side of the 7th floor of the annex building, a renovated Japanese-Western style room. It was a tatami mats and twin beds, and a round low table and cushion by the window. It is a renovation that feels old here and there, and it is better not to see the bath in the room even if you do not use it. I don't use it, but it is a Showa bathroom. There are many families with small children, so it may be good if you are a family with babies that are difficult to travel. We were two middle-aged couples, so everything didn't go well. Next time, I will make a quiet room where I can eat quietly and make a bath hotel that doesn't run around. We stayed without checking well, so it can't be helped. The hotel itself is actively engaged in employment of foreigners, employment of disabled people, employment of locals, and I think we are very researching the menu of Viking dishes. Is it a hotel around Lake Shirakaba alone?
