The room is clean, people are very comfortable, good breakfast! The hotel is antique but they have been well treated, inside the bathroom finds the toothpaste, dental stick, soap, etc. There is no mini bar. The night is very quiet. The area near the University, there are restaurants, bars, supermarkets, very easy to add to the bus, metro. Excellent quality- price, I advise you!

As always, this hotel is a sure bet. The staff are kind and professional, and the breakfast is superb. Both the breakfast and restaurant staff are always attentive and courteous. Dinner was very good, even though we arrived late due to a train delay. The only minor issues I found were in the room: the terrace door didn't close properly, and the kettle wasn't working. These are minor problems that shouldn't exist given the hotel's nightly rate and they did impact my overall rating, which otherwise would have been absolutely excellent. Nevertheless, we were very satisfied this time as well.

Hotel Villa Delle Rose

If you are looking for a functional home base in Rome, Hotel Villa delle Rose offers a mix of classic hospitality and convenience, though it shows its age in certain areas. The absolute highlight of this hotel is the location. It is perfectly situated for travelers who plan to use the rail system extensively. Whether you are navigating the Rome Metro to see the local sights or catching a high-speed train out of the city for a day trip, the proximity to the station makes logistics seamless and stress-free. The Room & Atmosphere While the location shines, the accommodations are more modest. The rooms are basic and definitely feel a bit worn out, reflecting an older style of Roman hospitality. One thing to keep in mind is the sound insulation; the walls and ceilings are quite thin, meaning you can easily hear neighbors in the hallway or footsteps from the floors above. If you’re a light sleeper, earplugs are a must. Dining Breakfast is a reliable, typical Italian spread. You can expect a variety of pastries, breads, and preserves, complemented by solid juices and a quality cappuccino to start your morning. It’s simple, sweet, and classic. Service The staff is a major plus. The front desk is accommodating and helpful, always ready to assist with questions or directions. Their welcoming attitude goes a long way in making up for the hotel’s older infrastructure. The Bottom Line: Hotel Villa delle Rose is a solid choice for budget-conscious travelers who prioritize transportation links and friendly service over modern luxury. It’s a ”no-frills” spot that serves as a convenient gate-way to Rome and beyond.

Location is quite convenient. Around 13mins walk from Rome Termani Station, where the main trains depart from/arrive into, and where the airport shuttle buses are located. Close to multiple bus stops that takes you to the Colosseum, Pantheon, Tiber Island and other key attractions, and within walkable distance to Villa Borghese Gallery. There are a few restaurants that open till late night in the area and mini-supermarkets as well in the neighborhood. It's quiet and isn't noisy. Hotel has a lift that takes you up to your room, a locked room for storing baggage, and only a few stairs at the entrance so accessibility is good. Single room size is decent, with windows, and toilet with stand shower and stable hot water that doesn't fluctuate in temperature and good drainage, no leakage. Recommendation for the hotel to provide some more toiletries and basic amenities besides shower cap, as there are nothing else in the room. No hot water boiler, no hairdryer, no slippers. And I had to ask reception for blankets because housekeeping forgot to put new ones back onto the shelf. Staff is helpful and was able to give me the blankets I requested efficiently, which is clean and wrapped in plastic, so kudos for the hotel for having good hygiene. There is a fridge and a mini safe box though which is a plus. Cleanliness is above average, ventilation and air con/heating are also good. Overall room is good value for money, and is big enough for you to open a 28inches+ luggage fully. Check-in process is also speedy, WiFi is reliable.

Seven Hills Camping Village

Fantastic village, beautiful surroundings and very peaceful. Train station is around a 30 minute walk from the village where you can get cheap trains to Rome and the airport. Great place to get a good night’s rest and good value too. I stayed there between flights so it was convenient as it is only 1 hour 15 minutes by train to the airport. There are restaurants, plenty of toilets and even a shuttle bus. I didn’t use any of these services because I just needed to sleep but there are lots of amenities. I stayed in a basic room which had 2 beds, table, light and power socket. That’s all you need. There is a heater and blankets for when it gets cold. A generous amount of toilet paper is also provided which can be used in the shared toilets. Staff are friendly. All in all a great place to stay!

Room Santa Maria Maggiore

The room was quite spacious, like a small suite. It had an electric kettle (which was broken and had to be replaced) and a capsule coffee machine (it leaked, but was still usable). The bathroom was too small, and the shower even smaller. The showerhead was poorly installed, making it awkward to stand comfortably. We stayed for four days, and the breakfast was exactly the same every morning – not a buffet, but a fixed set meal. It was enough to keep you from starving but certainly not filling: a few wilted leaves, a couple of cherry tomatoes, a fried egg, one or two tiny bacon slices, one slice of toast, one small piece of cake, a cup of coffee, a cup of juice, and a yogurt per person. What I really want to talk about is the front desk. We unfortunately encountered the most impatient woman mentioned in other reviews. It was as if we owed her money; she had a cold, impatient demeanor the entire time. My goodness, after so many trips to Europe, this is the first time I've encountered such a terrible front desk. If she dislikes her job so much, she should find a new one, rather than being angry all the time – it's bad for her health! 🧐 The following is my husband's comment; he insisted on adding a few words: 🧐 I am very surprised. I seem to owe money for this hotel. The staff, a lady, seems unhappy with this **** job. All the time of check-in, she was rather angry. Even if life isn't fair to this lady, you can't lose temper with clients. So far, I still think, why?

I liked the hotel. The location is great: it's on the outskirts of the city, but it's in a very nice area. The train and metro stations are within walking distance, and there are buses stopping right next to the hotel, making it easy to get to the historic city center. The staff is very friendly. The room is clean and very comfortable. There's a small refrigerator in the room. The breakfast is very generous and delicious. And the coffee is simply excellent.

The breakfast was plentiful, the room was clean, had a safe, and was elegantly decorated. However, the air conditioning system didn't heat; guests checking in after mid-November and those who are sensitive to the cold should consider this. I woke up freezing at night and had to get out of bed to put on thermal underwear/add a spare blanket to feel warmer. I stayed in room 201, which had a bad location; the window faced a wall with black pipes, which was visually unpleasant.

The staff are very friendly and the breakfast is not bad. It's very outskirts, so the train is cut off after 12 o'clock and you have to take a taxi. It's a perfect place to stay The new metro line C is also available once to the Colosseum, and it takes 25 minutes without transfer. ㄹㅇ Recommended
