Although the hotel is located in the sea, it is close to the bus terminal, the airport bus station, the archaeological museum, the castle and the most lively August 25th street. It is within walking distance. We have 3 people on this trip and choose to live in a family room. The hotel provides a lot of space, up to 35 square meters, enough to live in 4-5 people, good decoration design, The breakfast is also rich and delicious. The disadvantage is that the hotel is located in the old area. The surrounding environment is relatively narrow and messy. Because of the off-season, the hotel's top floor is not open. There are two hotels under the same area and the group. Come back next time. I want to try it.

Wonderful stay, sadly, they put us in the only room with a view! (Room V (5) Should have been advised of this, with a discount offered!) Nonetheless, the staff was wonderful as well as the location. Be advised....a taxi cannot drop/pick you up ... so be prepared to walk with luggage about 300 meters. Also, as this is a historic structure....there is no elevator. Exceptional breakfast is offered in a very scenic view of the old Harbour.
I had a lovely 2 days stay here! The staff was helpful and friendly, room service was excellent too! This was the nicest hotel for a great price! I chose the budget room and will come back again! Also, I really enjoyed the complimentary breakfast! Cheers!
Capsis Astoria is a great hotel centrally located in Heraklion. The rooms are comfortable and we liked our balcony. The rooftop pool is amazing with a full service bar and plenty of different types of seating and views of the city and sea in the distance. All the staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is across the road from the hop on hop off bus, airport bus, museum and many restaurants and bars down the alleys.
We stayed for 12 nights in total. We asked for a room with south-facing windows but it was never given to us, even when the room was empty. It was so unfriendly.
The older cleaners were very serious, but the younger ones were very bad. They were not timely and did not put away the items. Complaints were useless.
The breakfast was very good. Although the variety was the same every day, it was rich and very Cretan.

It's good to have a lot of help at the reception
Happy and even before the time of the arrival, and also the number of share with sea view is chic! Breakfasts are mute, eggs in different cooking options. The most delicious bread and cheeses. Lay cakes and amazing cocoa, coffee and various teas.
The room is spacious, with sea view! Just chic! In the room there are teapots and glasses, cups, coffee bags and tea different. In the bathroom there were slippers for us once-off but not simple. Fan, towels and a set for body and hair on olive oil.
A huge bed and a very warm blanket.
The only one but, we love to walk and study the area and when we came back late, the hotel was closed. We had to go for the key.
Excellent service, sympathetic and professional nn I could have found better

GGrimI knew as soon as I heard goats with their little bells on that I’d like this place. Quiet, quaint, country accomodation on the way to Samaria Gorge.
The family who run it were all lovely, and mum even made me up a picnic to take on the hike before dad gave us a lift to the starting point.
Maybe it’s because it never happens back home, but I ordered a beer downstairs upon arrival, and got given free olives - that made my absolute day and, though previously incorruptible, my loyalty was bought instantly and totally.
I also had the rabbit fry up thingo, which tasted great, although the salad itself was even better, though it curse my carnivorous tongue to say it.
The bedroom had a great balcony for looking out over the green and rocky hills. Bed was super comfy, and it actually was a little colder way up in the Omalos elevation (in June) which made sleep come very easily for those like me who run hot. Big fluffy blanket in the cupboard though for those of you who like to be warmer.
The bathroom is a bit small and being on the tall end of the height spectrum I had to be wary not to knock myself out on the hand basin when using the toilet. But if you’re under 6 foot you’ll patting your genetics on their small back.
The building is relatively old so expect to hear some footfalls as other guests go past your room, but other than that, blissfully quiet overnight.
The daughter of the family speaks really good English which helped a couple times, when regretfully I seemed to have forgotten all my Greek (which I rudely hadn’t learned prior to arriving).
I can’t recommend this homely hotel enough, so if you’re on your way to hike the gorge, park your car here and stay the night. Then stay in Agia Romelli at the very end of the hike. Then come back to Omalos the next day and get some home style cooking back into your weary body.
Or whatever floats your ferry.
JJelle SPerfect stay in Sitia. Everything was great I arrived at 1.30am and there is a 24h reception. The rooms are clean and big, the bathroom is clean and good shower yet little old. A terrace with city and seaview. A good breakfast included. The rooftop bar with swimmingpool has fantastic views over the bay. Decent restaurant in front of the hotel. Located on the best location. The only negative part was no soundproof walls. I loved my stay there!

FFotis KaimakamoudisEverything was perfect!
We had a wonderful stay at Elounda Gulf Villas. The suite was luxurious, clean, and beautifully maintained. A special mention to the guys at the bar — their service was exceptional and truly made our experience unforgettable. Thank you for the amazing hospitality!
TtommyFor the price of our stay it was well worth it!! Food was good and the all inclusive drinks were a big hit! There was entertainment on one of the nights we were there aswell! The pool was standard but a great vibe :) our room had a great view -one of the best in the resort 👌
KKetevaniIt’s located a little far from paleiochora , you definitely need to rent a car , cuz there is not a bus station near the hotel. Breakfast and personal are good . They don’t have wash machine you need to go to city for laundry. Average hotel price was ok.
RRobS.Very good place to stay. Bit older but had charm. Breakfast in the morning was included, the town was small so short walks to groceries, coffee places and it is on the Mediterranean Sea so great views and there are beaches nearby.
SShobyNice place to stay in the city center.. Very clean and nice design for the room and the entrance.. The owner was very friendly and helped a lot especially with keeping my luggage after check out. Highly recommend
JJou WeiOur only regret is that we couldn't stay longer! This is a beautiful, rustic oasis hidden away in a lovely area of Crete. Upscale, boutique, and peaceful with wonderful staff and excellent food.
