Pet Friendly Hotels in Shanxi, China

If you are looking for a unique experience, this is definitely the place to stay. One of the highlights of our trip to Pingyao was the host. They were incredibly kind, messaged us before we arrived in Pingyao, and even offered a free pickup service. They made sure we did not have to wait at the railway station. Their communication was always excellent, and they were very transparent with information. On our last day, the host asked for our train tickets so he could arrange the timing to drive us to the station, which was about a 20-minute ride away. Before we left, they even gave us homemade vinegar as a gift. It was such a lovely experience, and we felt so warmly welcomed throughout our stay. There are no words to describe how happy we were during our time here.

We had a amazing time staying at this hotel. It's in an ancient house over 200 years old and it's absolutely beautiful. Like walking into a museum but still with all the facilities. It's in a brilliant location in the old city. Easy to walk to. We were picked up from the high-speed train station and taken about the 20 minutes to the outside of the the city and our cases were brought in on the electric trolley. We were given a good welcome with a map to explain where everything was and some recommendations for restaurants. Breakfast was was tasty with local produce and he shared some of his vinegar with us as well. It was all good, a comfy bed, air conditioning shower was good and the staff were really well. Welcoming and friendly. Very small but but pleasant stay.

The location is absolutely fantastic, very close to the city center. When we checked in, they upgraded our room for free, and the owner even helped us with our luggage. When we left, they gave us some handmade vinegar from their shop, and also free outfits and discount vouchers for popular restaurants. It was absolutely wonderful! Since I have relatives in Pingyao, I'll definitely bring them to stay here next time.

We had a late pickup from the train station and were very warmly welcomed. Our room was clean, spacious and very comfortable, and the next day we were even brought back to the station. The hotel is located right in the center of the old town, so all major sights and restaurants are just a short walk away. The location is perfect for exploring the historic Pingyao old town while still being able to enjoy a quiet atmosphere in the evening. We had a really great stay in Pingyao. The hosts went out of their way to be helpful and very attentive. The staff speaks English, which made communication easy and pleasant. We especially liked that breakfast was even brought to our room.

This was my first time staying at a B&B, and it was a fantastic experience! A young man was already waiting in the parking lot to pick us up, and another helped with our luggage when we arrived at the hotel entrance. The room had double-paned windows and double doors, so the soundproofing was excellent. The B&B's location is superb – just a few meters to the right, and you're on the main street, which is super convenient for dining and taking photos. But the best part was definitely the service!

My stay at Futiandahua Rain Hot Spring Hotel was absolutely fantastic! First off, the location is superb, right inside the ancient city. It's super close to where they do the iron flower show, which, by the way, is an absolute must-see. I'm getting on in years, but watching that show brought tears to my eyes; I was so moved by the performers' dedication and the incredible spectacle they put on. It's clear the hotel owner pays incredible attention to detail. My two girlfriends and I stayed in a triple room, and from the moment we walked into the lobby, we were gushing over the hotel's ambiance, the staff, and the room's decor. Every little detail was thoughtfully done. Even when we were heading out to explore the ancient city, the front desk proactively offered us a pack of tissues to take with us. The room itself was a standalone unit, so it was incredibly quiet. They delivered coffee and afternoon tea daily, and the fruit plate in the room was fresh. There was also a cooler in the lobby with bottled water available for guests. The whole room was smart-enabled with XiaoDu (a smart assistant), and the shower had great water pressure and was very comfortable, with a separate wet and dry area. Oh, one small thing: the trash can in the bathroom was a bit too small; I hope they can improve that. The private hot spring was amazing. After a full day of sightseeing, coming back to soak in the hot spring and chat was just pure bliss.

Highly recommend Qiuyu B&B! The overall environment exceeded expectations, the sanitation was particularly in place, the house was fully equipped, home appliances and toiletries were all available, and it was as comfortable as at home. The location is good and it is very convenient to travel and play. The front desk is intimate to answer all kinds of questions, the service is intimate and not disturbed. The atmosphere of the homestay is quiet and comfortable, especially suitable for relaxing. The overall price/performance ratio is full, the living experience is excellent, and there is no thunder throughout the whole process. It is a very pleasant stay experience. Friends who want to come to play can choose with confidence! The reception process was very smooth and the service was very attentive and warm when handling the procedures.

The hotel room is large in size and well-equipped, clean and tidy, the lobby bar tea and coffee are free, parking is convenient, the uncle of the car management is particularly friendly, leaving us a good impression, the front desk ladies are young and sunny, the hotel software and hardware are good. The hotel breakfast is very good, lunch and dinner can go to the ancient city of Zhangzhou 2 kilometers from the hotel, snacks are very rich, 4 kilometers there is a Xiurong small hall - Zhangzhou authentic Shanxi local dishes are worth a try. Recommended!

This was my favorite hotel during my Shanxi trip, and here's why: 1. The hotel is a converted old mansion, full of character. The rooms are spotless, fully smart-enabled, and stylishly designed. The bedding is incredibly comfortable, with a choice of two pillows of different firmness levels. The mini-fridge also comes stocked with complimentary drinks and snacks. 2. The personalized and attentive service is a highlight of this boutique hotel. The staff were warm and proactive. Since we had an early train, they even prepared breakfast for us in advance. On our arrival day, they offered us delicious wontons for lunch to tide us over. 3. The location is excellent, not far from the North Gate, making it super convenient for exploring the ancient city. 4. The hotel provides complimentary transfers to and from the train station in a Mercedes van equipped with massage seats – they've really invested in top-notch amenities. 5. The value for money is outstanding. With such amenities and service, it's absolutely worth every penny. I'll definitely be back!

A very good home stay/hotel that I highly recommend for anyone who travel to Datong. It’s at the entrance of the Datong Ancient City, very convenient to walk around for shops and restaurants. The hotel staffs and owner are very friendly to accommodate our needs. Lift is available and good for family with elderly. The pick up and drop off service to stations are the best! There are some problems on the bed sizes when we checked in but the owner resolve in a friendly way. Highly recommended for a special stay!
