The B&B is close to the North Gate, so it was pretty easy to find. The owner even picked me up from Pingyao Ancient City Station late at night, which I really appreciated – it made my travel experience so much better. They carefully explained the locations of attractions and gave me a map. When I left, they even gave me some vinegar as a gift; they're incredibly warm and welcoming. Seriously, if you're coming to Pingyao, you should definitely stay here, haha! It's safe, clean, and the facilities are all there. For longer stays, they even proactively clean your room. The decor has a local flair too – who wouldn't want to try sleeping on a traditional heated 'kang' bed without any fuss? Thanks for everything, I'll definitely stay here again next time. Loved it, loved it!

I chose Nan She for both of my trips to Datong, spaced about twenty days apart. The first time was by chance, but the second was a deliberate choice, both reflecting my high appreciation for every aspect of Nan She. It's located right beneath the North City Wall of the ancient city, close to Daiwang Mansion and Kuixing Tower. Its proximity to the main road makes getting around very convenient. The entrance to the North City Wall is just a few minutes' walk away, offering a superb spot to watch the sunset over the ancient city. The breakfast at the guesthouse is absolutely delicious. The rooms are spotless, and the bedding is clean; every detail is perfectly executed. The overall service is beyond words – attentive, warm, and thoughtful. Choosing the right accommodation is a crucial part of enhancing the travel experience, and both of my stays here provided an excellent one. Datong is a city you'll want to revisit; the more you get to know it, the more you'll love it. The blend of history and modernity, delicious food, and beautiful scenery offers endless appeal. The room was clean and comfortable. They offered luggage transfer within the ancient city, complimentary fruit, and even gave us local specialty vinegar and oil tea upon check-out. The service was thoughtful, the environment was great, and exploring the ancient city was very convenient.

Really amazing service. Started off with a lovely cup of coffee cos I was coming from Wutai mountain from a hotel deep in Shanxi that serves no coffee. Pickup service at the gate, brilliant intro to the quaint little town. Awesome sit down intro on what to do in Pingyao - neither too superficial nor too heavy. Fresh fruits served once I was in the room. A minor issue with tiny noise from aircon and after 2-3 attempts to solve it, they moved me to another room. Checkout, they drive you to the train station. Oh, I left a teeshirt and they offered to sent it to me but it turned out to be too expensive. Lol. Best hotel this 14 day trip in China and I am on my last leg. 2 more days in Beijing and I head home.

I've been to Xinzhou Ancient City a few times, and I genuinely feel that Futian Yuhua Hotel is the absolute best hotel here. The rooms are spotless, they deliver fresh fruit daily, and the beds are incredibly comfortable. The private hot spring bath experience was fantastic, and there was a constant supply of complimentary drinks every day. From the moment you step through the main entrance, you notice the incredible attention to detail – it's clear the owner has excellent taste. From the moment I called about parking, a butler was already waiting at the entrance. The service was warm and thoughtful. When leaving, they even reminded me to take a complimentary bottle of water and offered tissues, showing how much they genuinely care for their guests. On the day of check-in, I couldn't figure out the stopper for the hot spring pool, but after a quick call, someone came to help within less than a minute. I'll definitely be bringing my family back to stay here again in the future and will highly recommend it to my friends.

The hotel is next to Taishan Temple, the ancient city is c, and the Taishan Temple Snack Street is out. The room is very new, the outdoor pool is very fast, the room is very intelligent, the staff service is first-class, the lobby fruit and coffee are free. 1. The room description stated a 1.8-meter king bed, but it was actually a triple room with one king bed and one small bed. There's a discrepancy between the text and the actual room, something to be aware of. 2. Unfortunately, when I arrived, the water pressure was insufficient after using the restroom, making it impossible to flush the toilet. It took almost an hour for the pressure to slowly return. I initially thought the toilet was broken, but the staff explained that low water pressure is common in the ancient town. Those sensitive to this should take note. 3. When showering, the water temperature fluctuated between hot and cold, and at one setting, it suddenly became scalding hot. Considering these three issues, it makes me question whether the price matches the experience, and it's something to think about.
