It's rare to find such a well-equipped hotel in Zhangye, and I just picked this one randomly. Unexpectedly, it was a pleasant surprise! The room was very new, and the facilities were smart, even including a smart speaker. I was upgraded to a suite, which was a really thoughtful touch. I didn't plan on writing a review, but I simply *must* recommend it. Many tourists stay in Zhangye for just one night, and this place is definitely worth a strong recommendation. There are also thoughtful travel essentials available on the first floor. The number of welcoming staff was impressive, making a great first impression. I'll definitely recommend this to friends visiting Zhangye. Plus, they even have complimentary souvenirs!

Wonderful place and wonderful family! The best accommodation we stayed in in China. Perfect position very close to the monastery. Very clean. As soon as we arrived we were greeted with a snack of dried dates, bread, butter and tzampa, accompanied by some delicious tea. We stayed with this family for two days and they always offered us breakfast, the first day with house tea and fresh bread, the second day with coffee and fried bread. We spent the evening with them and they always kept offering us food and tea, always making us feel welcome. The house is wonderful, ******* style, wooden, always very clean. The beds are really comfortable, and they have a warming blanket. Inside our room we also had an electric heater to warm ourselves, which made the room really warm and cosy. The bathroom has hot water. You can fill your water bottles from the drinking water containers they have in front of each room. We always saw them cleaning the common areas. The owner, his wife and their three children welcomed us warmly like family. I will recommend them to all my friends. Really recommended!

The Hyatt Regency Lanzhou truly lives up to its reputation as the top luxury and gourmet hotel in Lanzhou. Its prime location offers unparalleled views, with the Yellow River flowing right beneath your eyes. Staying on the 31st floor, guests can enjoy stunning sunsets in the evening and watch traditional sheepskin rafts drift down the Yellow River in the morning. Furthermore, the concierge staff at Hyatt Regency Lanzhou are exceptionally warm and proactive, while the front desk team is professional and efficient. They provide comprehensive information and local tourist maps, ensuring guests experience first-class service from the moment they arrive. Of course, the comfortable ambiance and delicious food at the hotel's breakfast are also highly enjoyable and commendable. In summary, if you're looking for the best hotel in Lanzhou, the Hyatt Regency Lanzhou is an excellent choice. Additionally, the Dunhuang Art Museum and the Duzhe Museum are both within walking distance of the hotel and are definitely worth a visit.

Just a few minutes' walk from Dunhuang Night Market, the hotel was clean and the beds were incredibly comfortable. The front desk staff were all very welcoming and always had a smile on their faces. Ms. Xiaoqing from the tourism department, who picked us up, was also incredibly warm and hospitable. Big thumbs up! Next time I come to Dunhuang, I'll definitely stay at Dunhuang Hotel again.

Best hotel I’ve stayed in on my trip. The family made me feel so welcome. The room was very comfortable and quiet. Lots of hot water. Food was great. They gave me a bike to cycle to the grasslands and did my washing for free! Also dropped me at the bus station. So kind and lovely. And the owner speaks perfect English.

Perfect location for visiting the Rainbow Mountains, with the western entrance in walking distance. The exceptionally friendly reception also recommended scenic spots in the area, and we were able to borrow traditional clothing for our photo shoot free of charge. The overnight stay in a heated yurt was very comfortable, with shower and toilet facilities within easy reach. The breakfast was excellent and varied; even our demanding children gave it two thumbs up.

The house is very clean and spacious. The bathroom is also separated into dry and wet areas, and the toilet is also automatic. Most importantly, there is a balcony with fully automatic screens. When the sun is good in the afternoon, you can take pictures and drink tea there and relax. The boss is also very good and will help you put your luggage. The service attitude is very good. It was a great trip and I will come again next time.

This was our third trip to Dunhuang, and we chose Molan Homestay this time because we saw it was newly opened. The pictures looked good, so we booked it. The homestay is located in a village, a bit out of the city center, but it's very quiet. There's parking right in front, which is convenient, though no EV charging. That's understandable; installing chargers isn't simple and requires grid approval. I chatted with the owner, and he said they're working on it, so hopefully, next time I won't have to go elsewhere to charge. The homestay environment is lovely, just like the photos, perfect for photoshoots. The front desk staff was super enthusiastic. After we checked in that evening, they must have noticed us eyeing the bar's liquor, because they proactively poured us two large glasses of craft beer. And I have to say, the craft beer chosen by the owner was absolutely fantastic, it really helped shake off the fatigue from driving all the way from Delingha to Dunhuang. Kudos to the owner! For breakfast, the owner was very thoughtful, asking what we'd like and if we wanted it delivered to our room. The food tasted good, and the dishes were healthy, catering to most tastes. When we left, they even gave us some essentials for the road, like wet wipes and compressed towels. All in all, this trip was tiring, but the experience was wonderful. Oh, and one minor regret: I came at the wrong time. The Li Guang apricots at the homestay weren't ripe yet. Otherwise, I could have experienced an all-you-can-eat apricot feast! I hope next time I visit, the apricots haven't all been picked. I definitely want to pick the first ripe one (though the owner will probably get it first, haha). This hotel has clean, bright rooms, and the bedding is super soft and comfortable. It's really quiet at night, so I slept soundly until morning. The biggest surprise was their pour-over coffee; it was incredibly fragrant and rich. Sitting in the lobby, reading a book, taking photos, and sipping coffee was just perfect. The front desk staff was incredibly attentive and even helped us with recommendations for authentic local snacks. The value for money is absolutely fantastic. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in Jiayuguan.

An family trip that exceeded all expectations! Both rooms were a delightful surprise. Finally got around to writing this review, and it absolutely deserves five stars! We traveled with another family and specifically booked two family rooms, each with its own unique charm. One was the 'Beach Family Room' with a small courtyard, perfect for kids to enjoy playing in the sand without even leaving the room. The other was a scenic room with an open-air terrace, and the view was absolutely stunning! You could watch the sunrise in the morning and count stars at night. The terrace had a榻榻米 (tatami mat) area for tea, where you could bask in the sun and gaze at the Mingsha Mountain. This season, the surrounding area was filled with blooming apricot blossoms – simply beautiful. I especially want to commend the service: From check-in to check-out, every staff member was smiling, proactively helped with luggage, and cheerfully saw us off when we checked out. Attention to detail truly shines through. The breakfast was a highlight! The variety was much richer than expected, with both Chinese and Western options. The freshly cooked noodles and fried eggs were delicious. But the most impressive part was the coffee – not the usual watery Americano you find at buffets, but rich, aromatic freshly ground coffee! In summary: For a family trip or a large group, book this place without hesitation. The two rooms complemented each other perfectly, keeping both adults and children happy. We'll definitely choose this place again next time and recommend it to our friends.
