AAnonymous UserAn old villa with a huge garden and a pasture outside. Herds of sheep are grazing quietly on the green grass. It feels like a paradise. The local driver said it is picturesque, and it is indeed so.
GGuest UserThe room is very standard, the bed is slightly smaller than in China but it is enough for two people. The breakfast is very standard, cost-effective, the price is very good, and parking is convenient. There is also Starbucks.
GGuest UserIt’s an impressive building so I was having some expectations. The room it was a bit dated in the newer part. Not many amenities as you can expect from this kind of hotel. The bar area is really nice looking over a fabulous garden and so the restaurant. On that note the food was areal let down. I have ordered a Thai green curry chicken. I was soo looking forward to this but when arrived it was a total disappointment. The chicken was probably a leftover from another meal, very dry. The sauce was nothing like green curry and the rice it was microwaved. The waitresses were very lovely and apologised and the removed it from my bill. They said that they have an agency chef! So it’s a real shame !!
AAnonymous UserThe location and ambiance of this hotel are truly exceptional, and I would highly recommend it. The view was absolutely breathtaking, and the on-site spa with its indoor swimming pool added a wonderful touch of relaxation to the stay.
The only small drawback was that they were unable to provide a toothbrush upon request. Aside from that, everything else exceeded expectations.
YYuanI came to stay as I needed to attend a meeting in the Birmingham Business Park the next day morning. The B&B was on the edge of the Coleshill. It was an okay stay, and just about okay. I won't be against staying there again, but there is nothing special to lure me back either.
Plus: James ware expecting me when I arrived and showed me the key and the room. He also took my order for the next morning. The room was of decent size. There are lots of lights in the room. The bed was okay. There is on site parking space. The breakfast was ready when I walked down to the dining room.
Minus: At £148 a nigh this was certainly not good value for money. The facility was a bit basic, albeit adequate (tea/coffee/kettle/biscuits and hair dryer). There was one bottle for hair/body wash and there was a small soap in the bathroom. Bathroom is just about of adequate size for one person. The water temperate varied a bit while on show, but workable.
Also my room was on 2nd floor, with narrow steep stairs. It was okay for me as I traveled very light. But it would be tricky for someone with big luggage or mobility restraint.
Mmanami_co2I stayed here for 2 days. It takes just over an hour by car from the rental car company near Heathrow Airport. Parking was 5 pounds per day. It was a good location for touring the Cotswolds.
I saw about 4 staff members, and they all welcomed me kindly.
The room was clean and just the right size. The bathroom was clean and nice. There were many outlets, which I think is convenient. Towels and a hair dryer are provided. It seems that you have to ask for housekeeping at the counter in advance. I forgot to ask, and I only asked for towels to be changed later, but they changed them right away.
I think it's better to prepare body soap, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush set, etc. in advance.
It's very convenient because there is a gas station, restaurants (KFC, Starbucks Coffee, etc.) and a supermarket right next to it.
Thank you for your polite service. I would like to go again if I have the opportunity.
GGuest UserLovely room and bathroom was really nice with walk in shower and bath, under bed lighting which came on when going to the loo in the night which is helpful in strange places. Breakfast included
The balcony was private with amazing views. Took duck and swan food and the ducks and fish came from everywhere lovely to watch Deb
JJulianThis hotel is in a beautiful setting, convenient for Rugby and the M1/M6. The grounds and building are beautiful, although there are signs of neglect. We stayed in a suite in the Stables, it was tired, which I knew from the photos online but our bathroom had hair in the bath and clogged in the plughole. The shower didn't run hot and the toilet flush was poor. Breakfast was mediocre at best, lots of hot food had run out with no-one keeping an eye, we had to ask for items to be brought out. The staff were 50/50 - some very pleasant but some disinterested, one of the receptionists didn't even give us directions to our room properly suite. If some money was spent on improving the rooms and building I would have been happy to pay more, it is a real shame is the potential is immense!
