Stayed at Novotel Cambridge North recently and had a really solid experience overall. The staff were consistently friendly and welcoming, which always makes a difference. The facilities were impressively clean, especially the swimming pool and sauna - both well maintained and relaxing to use. Breakfast was more than sufficient, with a great standard full English buffet that was always topped up quickly, so nothing ever felt picked over. Location-wise, it’s just a 4-minute walk from Cambridge North train station, which makes getting in and out incredibly easy. The connections are excellent, and having a Co-op right opposite is really convenient - especially since the hotel itself is a bit removed from other shops and amenities. Overall, a comfortable and well-run stay, particularly if you’re travelling by train or need a quieter base just outside the city.

This hotel is located on the outskirts of Cambridge. Right outside, there's a bus stop with frequent buses, making it super convenient to get to Cambridge University and the city center (about 10 minutes away). Plus, there's a supermarket, a pizza place, and a bakery/coffee shop all within easy reach. The facilities are also quite new.

Stayed 3 nights so that we could visit family and friends in the area. Booked a twin room which had adequate space for 2 of us and separate area with small table and chairs if needed. Beds were comfortable and the room was warm (once I was shown how to activate the heating) Unfortunately the bathroom was very cold as the hotel boiler needed repair so the radiator wasn’t working. Otherwise we had a pleasant stay. The hotel is quite dated and in need of an upgrade which is on the planning. The staff were super friendly and helpful, especially when I realised I’d left my own personal pillow on the bed. They tracked it down and a friend collected for me the next day. Definitely stay agin when next in the area.

I have stayed in this hotel a few times now, and every time the receptionist Izabella has been both helpful and friendly in every transaction whether it be by telephone or in person at the desk. In an industry where this is pretty rare her consistency should be noted and is an asset to her company. The hotel itself is good. No complaints.

It gave us extra time to relax and pack without feeling rushed. 🛍️ The location is super convenient — just a 5-minute walk to a large shopping mall, making dining and shopping easy. 🔌 Another highlight was the electric vehicle charging available in the hotel parking, which was exactly what we needed. 💷 Overall, this hotel offers excellent value for money with great service and thoughtful amenities. It was a very pleasant stay. Very comfortable bed and pillows, I’ve had an amazing sleep. Bathroom clean and quite big with all necessary toiletries provided. We used the gym, swimming pool and sauna facilities. All very clean. Gym receptionist was very kind and helpful. Gym was fully air conditioned, pool and areas clean. Only odd part, there was a swimming lesson in action for young kids so couldn’t enjoy the pool much. Breakfast was lovely also! Good variety of food. I would definitely return!

Check-in was easy and smooth. The hotel smells amazing and was clean. I found the bed very comfortable and made use of late check out. Had some drinks at the bar which wasn't too busy, plenty of seating and good service. I'd stay here again.

The suite layout is sensible, and the space is comfortable – definitely great value for money for a hotel in the UK. Amenities: The room includes a kitchen, washing machine, and other conveniences. Cleanliness: It was very clean upon check-in, but regular cleaning is only once a week. Extra cleaning services require an additional fee, though you can request fresh towels.
