Must-stay hotel in Singapore | Minimalist and fresh boutique Lloyd 's Inn
|Minimalist and fresh boutique Lloyd 's Inn.🏨Hi, fairies~ Today I'm going to introduce a must-stay hotel in Singapore that I've recently stayed in and completely obsessed with—Lloyd's Inn. This boutique inn located in the Orchard Road area is within walking distance to the subway station, not far from the Orchard Road Library and duty-free shops. There's also a Ya Kun nearby (the hotel provides breakfast, if you don't want to eat, you can go to Ya Kun for toast haha)
🏨This Lloyd 's Inn is a boutique inn with 34 guest rooms, retaining its natural marks and restoring the original appearance of the building. Starting from the concept of minimalist style and restoring the architecture itself, it emphasizes the close relationship between the hotel, nature and travelers. The setting of large glass doors and windows makes the interior space of the guest room spacious and bright. Through the huge skylight, you can also get closer to the surrounding courtyard. The interior of the guest room is full of various small potted plants, full of vitality.
🏨In addition to retaining the simple and beautiful concrete and wood, they usually choose minimalist types and furniture with strong design lines, making the originally small space still well-organized. Even the design of the items inside the inn is simple and beautiful, continuing the entire style line.
🏨Check-in time: after 15:00, check-out time: before 12:00. If you arrive early, you can store your luggage at the front desk~
🏨Check-in experience: 1. No Chinese service for the time being, but basic communication is no problem. 2. The hotel style is still very Nordic minimalist style, very photogenic! ! 3. The hotel is located in a high-end residential area, it is quiet in the hustle and bustle of Orchard Road, and the environment is particularly good. 4. Service scored 10 four. We stored our luggage at the hotel and went out to play. When we came back, not only was the luggage in the room, but the air conditioner was also turned on for us, happy~ 5. Breakfast was just mentioned, it's free, but it's in a small shop near the hotel. We both went to eat Ya Kun and didn't go to find it. It is said that the taste is good. You can try it~ 6. The bathing part leads directly to the small garden of the room, and there is a feeling of outdoor bathing~ It is a very special experience haha (don't worry, there are shower curtains and you won't expose~) 7. Friends with swimsuits can swim in the hotel's own swimming pool on the first floor~ 8. The only downside is that the sound insulation is average.
🌈🌈In short, this is a highly recommended good place! If you like the minimalist and fresh style and the feeling of vacation, then you must come here to stay for one night! The address is at Lloyd's Inn at 239091 Orchard Road, Singapore waiting for you to explore~

NewJeans x LINE FRIENDS Pop-Up
From Sep 15 to Nov 23, NewJeans and LINE FRIENDS are joining forces in Orchard Central to bring you a panoply of pink-themed merchandise.
Think cute bunny-like characters and Powerpuff versions of the band members. The star of the show is "Bunini," a mash-up between IPX's Minini series (the minds behind BTS's BT21) and NewJeans' TOKKI mascot ("bunny" in Korean). You can actually spot these characters in NewJeans' music video for ASAP.
You can bring these adorable characters home in the form of plushies, keychains, and more. And as you explore the NewJeans Gangnam store pop-up, you'll also be treated to TOKKI installations and wall art.

Sights and sounds at Orchard Road
If you are in Singapore for a holiday, one of the must-visit places is the renowned shopping streets of Orchard Road! The entire stretch is basically rows of shopping malls to satisfy your need for retail therapy. But besides the malls and their architectural facades, there are also many interesting activities and even performances that make your city walk more happening.
At certain times of the day, you may find buskers putting on a show for passers-by. I have seen acts performed by magicians, musicians, story-tellers and even Buddhist monks! You will also find little mobile stalls that sell traditional ice cream and they always have very long queues.
My overall rating of the experience: 4 out of 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Orchard Malls Architecture
#mysgmemories #tripblazers
When your friends from overseas ask you, where is the best place you would recommend him or her to visit ? Our first 3 answers would definitely include Orchard. Orchard has been a shopping paradise since my younger days. The orchard Street is always full of joy and laughter, with street performances, and people taking pictures on the street with the beautiful mall building exterior. They include the Ngee Ann city, ion, paragon, Wheelock, Shaw, orchard central, orchard gateway, wisma atria, 313 somerset mall. Each of them have their own unique features. They may be different, but they will still be loved by shoppers like us. The transition of the shopping malls along the orchard area has improved substantially over the years. I hope to see more malls in the orchard area in time to come.
Lights in the trees
#mysgmemories
Come come! Come and enjoy the Christmas lights installation along the whole stretch of Orchard road. It is always held every Christmas and available for everyone. This is the most festive street in Singapore during Christmas and the busiest shopping street too. If you are a tourist, staying in one of the hotels in Orchard road will be convenient. The prices per night might be expensive but there are also less expensive options for some of the older hotels too. If you go outside a bit, you also can find much cheaper hotel and it is just one MRT station away. Try out Orchard road the next time during Christmas.
Bags on Bus
#mysgmemories
Can la! Let’s go shopping and this is a pop-up Kate Spade event. The display is designed to be a mini bus and you can enter the bus to have an immersive experience. There are also seats outside and designed to be like an outdoor cafe. This is an event to showcase their new bags collection. You can feel the bags in person and compare the various sizes and then place an order. You can also play with the interactive screen and make your own designs. I don’t remember if they give out any special discount or free gifts. But you can come and experience it yourself, outside Dhoby Ghaut MRT station near to Plaza Singapura.
Authentic Kyoto Dining in Singapore
KappoSho
Location: #01-16 Claymore Connect on Orchard Road, Next to Orchard Tower, easy to access by public transport, 10 minutes walking distance from Orchard MRT
Appearance: The impression of exclusivity is conveyed through a minimalist design and a limited number of seats. The arrangement resembles a miniature theatre, allowing customers to witness the chef crafting their food in real time.
Taste and Flavor: The taste and flavor are extraordinary, with incredibly fresh ingredients. It's as if you're enjoying a meal from the kitchen, delivering a delectable savor that resembles having your own chef crafting authentic Kappo Food from Kyoto, Japan.
Portion Size and Value: While the food quantity might be limited, the portion size is just right. The ultimate highlight of the entire dining experience is the concluding Donabe dish, truly a masterpiece. It's undoubtedly tantalizing, satisfying both the taste buds and appetite. The combination of high-quality ingredients, exceptional flavor, and the overall experience unquestionably justifies the visit.
Service and Staff: Exhibiting impeccable standards, the meticulousness in presentation stands out, enhanced further by the ability to engage directly with the chef. The insightful descriptions of ingredients and the cooking techniques add an extra layer to the experience. The thoughtful transitions of cutlery and the authentic food arrangement emulate the genuine atmosphere of Japan.

The Singapore Popular Shopping District
#mysgmemories #orchard #shopping #mustvisit #touristsattraction #singapore #town
If you are a shopperholic and is visiting Singapore, one place that you have to definitely visit is orchard Road which is located right in the centre of Singapore. Orchard Road is approximately 2.2km long which is filled with shopping centres and big iconic malls like ion, tangs and takashimaya.
If you are driving, the parking here can be really expensive during the weekdays. But it is also really convenient by train and buses which I so highly recommend since you might spend the entire day here.
This is one place you have to visit when you are visiting Singapore, an iconic shopping district here in the small red dot.
Shopping Spree at Orchard Road 👜💄💍
What a long road with so many high end shopping malls and affordable shopping plazas!
Couldn’t believe how lively the road is with so many people be it tourists or locals - all came here to shop and visit the shopping centres.
Walked along the road and went into some of the malls and plazas, was so satisfied with the quality and price offered.
Though it was a bit hot in the afternoon, it didn’t wash away the enthusiasm for shopping!
Busking at Orchard Road
#singapore
Walking around Orchard Road during weekends & public holidays, you will often see some buskers singing & performing along the streets, especially around the Ion Orchard/Wisma Atria area, or near 313 Somerset area.
There will usually be some crowd stopping a while to take photos/videos and enjoy the performance. Some of the more popular buskers will even have crowd forming and sitting down to view & enjoy the performance.

Price point was average and not too costly. Overall recommended if nearby the vincity for western food.
Thai street food in Singapore
Address: Shiok Shiok Night Market, 100 Orchard Rd, Singapore 238840
Price: $25/pp
I really love the concept of an alfresco dinning - especially Thai night market. I have passes through this way many times and thought to visit once because of its ambience.
The place was located between Somerset and Dhoby Ghaut.
We ordered:
1. Drunken noodle - 4/10 It was spicy and very salty. It looks delicious but it tasted otherwise. The noodle however got great texture.
2. Beef bot noodle - 6/10 It tasted weird but it was definitely better than the drunken noodle. The soup was also rather salty.
Service was rather slow and the food was pricey and below average.

Treasure in Orchard Tower
Address: Korat Thai Cafe, 400 Orchard Rd, #03-28 Orchard Tower, Singapore 238875
Price: $20/pp
Stumble across this Thai restaurant on Google and wanted to give it a try. There's many hidden gem in Orchard Tower - on the same level there was also another famous Thai restaurant but it's on a pricer side of things. On the other corner, just up ahead the escalator, lies a old school restaurant with tables and chairs laid along the corridor.
While we wait for our other two friends to come over, the owner greeted us and promptly showed us to our seat. He was very friendly and nice and the food came out rather quickly despite the restaurant being crowded.
We ordered:
1. Signature crispy omelette - 9/10 the eggs was fried to perfection. It's not your usual Thai Omelette but it was a perfect combination with the other dishes we ordered.
2. Spicy Kang Kong - 9/10 Vegetable was crunchy and it wasn't too salty.
3. Pla Sum Rod (Fish cooked with three sauce - Spicy, Sour and Savory) - 10/10 The fish was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. I love that they had cut the fish into slices for us. The sauce was well balanced and the flavour was on point.
4. Tom Yum Clear - 10/10 Well balanced in flavour and generous ingredients.
5. Phad See Ew - 10/10 We got both the Kwayteow and glass noodle version. Both was really tasty with the "wok hay" charred taste we all love. Things to note is the portion is massive, suitable for 2 pax per plate.
6. Fried instant noodle - 10/10 It tasted like mee goreng but with tom yum flavour. Again huge portion like the rest of their dishes.
7. Thai milk tea - 7/10 Not quite the usual milk tea taste you would find at Golden Mile, but it was drinkable.
We ordered a little too much for 4 people, I believe this can be easily shared with 5 pax.
Overall I would come back here again as the food is good, the portion is huge and the price is reasonable.

Christmas Light Up In Orchard Road
It is less than a week to Christmas and everywhere is decked in Christmas lights. Every year in orchard road, you would be able to see the whole street being beautifully decorated with Christmas lights, including the different shopping malls. Christmas trees, both big and small and tall, are seen. It is extremely beautiful at night and you can't help but take pictures at every spot.
This year's lights up theme is called 'Christmas on a great street' and indeed it is great! Buskers were seen performing along the street and be entertained by their acts and talents. After dinner, why not head down to Orchard and soak in the christmas atmosphere. It is the most wonderful time of the year!

Festive Season walk
#artshunting #tripblazers
While taking a stroll at the orchard road, along the centerpoint shopping mall, I discovered a few decorations on the road, as well as from the mall. I stopped by to take a look at the rainbow colourful lighting. It really looks amazing, and has really captured my attention. I do love the decorations along the orchard street. I do look forward to more such beautifully decorated streets in the various parts of Singapore. Such a street really brings out the festive season atmosphere to the people in Singapore.
Christmas Trees Galore along Orchard Road 🎄
The festive season is here again and the long stretch of street from Tanglin Mall to Suntec City is decked with attractive Christmas decorations. One of my favourite activities is spotting the many Christmas trees sprouting up in town. Can you tell where can all these be found? 😊 #orchardroad #christmas
Pokemon Scarlet & Violet
New game alert at Orchard MRT and the entire MRT station is decorated with posters and art murals of the Pokemon Scarlet & Violet games. It is a successful advertising campaign. The designs are really attractive and colourful. Even if you never know about Pokemon, you will know them once you are at Orchard MRT station. It is also a high traffic MRT station and part of the underground link bridge to many shopping centres.

Lady M
Lady M is one of the coffee shops that I visited and has become one of my favourites. The queue tends to get quite long especially on a weekend. The location and interior of the place is so nice. it is over looking Orchard Road. It is even more gorgeous to see the Christmas decorations along Orchard Road while having delicious coffee and cakes! I loved their Matcha latte and chocolate crepe cake! A must try indeed! #coffee #donnaheats #ladym #coffeeshops #cafe #singapore #christmas

High tea at L'éclair Pâtisserie (Café) in SG
Address - 190 Clemenceau Ave, #foodie
Ambiance/Facilities - Aircon quiet cafe
Highlights - pastries, high tea set
Avg. Price per Person - $22/pax
Rating - Pre ordered and booked slot 1 day before on their site to have their Degustation High Tea Set at $55 for 2 pax. Additional pax will have to at least order 1 ala carte item from menu in order to have a seat together. We had 90mins to dine in but 60mins was sufficed unless wishes to chit-chat longer. Their high tea set consists of both savoury mini pies and sweet mini éclairs l, as well as 2 pots of tea(each can pour out abt 3-4tea cups). All in all we enjoyed all the pies and éclairs and its cosy ambience but atad pricy given its portion and without any surrounding views like some other cafes. One may go once just to try out its high tea set but do pre-book online if walk in likely will have to queue during the weekends and the Degustation Hīgh TĔa SĔt will not be available.#
Shiok Shiok!
