Chengdu’s MUST visit - Kuanzhai alley
One of the best things you can do in Chengdu is to visit this ancient street. Kuanzhai alley is one of my favorites of the city. There are lots of tea-houses, coffee shops and restaurants with delicious food. 🥘 Also many shops with souvenirs of local landmarks, also a nice decorated bookstore 📚 Every corner of the Kuanzhai alley is a nice spot for taking pictures 📸 I’ve been here once in winter and another time in summer. Both seasons were perfect for this place. 💚

Kuanzhai Alley will not Disappoint
Getting There - In Didi, you'll find it as Kuan Alley and Zhai Alley Pedestrian Street, Jinhe Road, Qingyang. The taxi left us right at the entrance and we started our bedazzling journey from there 😍🤩.
Attractions - There was so busy to see and do💃💃. It was like a fun day that couldn't end. In every corner there was a shop with attractive people calling out to us and inviting us in. Inside, there was music 🎶, face changing acts, other live performances, and food. Kuanzhai Alley is more than a location it's an experience. If you go to Chengdu you must visit this pedestrian street. Feel the local culture live the life of the people.
Highlight - it was a one-stop shop for many things you'd want to do and see in Chengdu like the #SichuanOpera
Rating 5 stars definitely ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
#Kuanzhai Alley #Chengdu #Visit #January 2023
Situated in the downtown of Chengdu city, Kuanzhai Alley (宽窄巷子), or Wide & Narrow Alleys, consists of Kuan Alley (Wide Alley), Zhai Alley (Narrow Alley), and Jing Alley. The three streets are the left part of the buildings after the chaos of war in the Qing Dynasty (A.D. 1636-1912). Still maintaining the original looks for hundreds of years, Kuanzhai Alley has been attracting millions of tourists by the typical buildings in ancient Qing style of quadrangle courtyard, Chengdu local snacks, life of old Chengdu, etc. Moreover, fashionable bars with many young singers and various restaurants are abundant in Kuanzhai Alley, making this place a combination of traditional Chinese culture and modern life.
The beautiful streets of Kuanzai Alley
The wide and narrow alleys in Chengdu is one of the most beautiful scenery and historical tourist attraction. I loved the building style and other activities that go on there.
This isn’t my first visit but my last visit. I came back to chengdu to visit again just for the love I have for this city.
I definitely recommend this place to any tourists #mytripvlog
Kuanzhai Alley in Chengdu
Kuanzhai Alley (or in Chinese 宽窄巷子) is one of the most popular streets in Sichuan's capital Chengdu. There are two parallel lanes with shops, restaurants, Snack-Shops, Cafés, massage, milk- and bubble tea, teahouses and museums. 🎭🖼️👕🌯♨️
🎟️🕜 Kuanzhai alley is for free and open 24/7...
📍 Just search it in your map-app or show 宽窄巷子 to your taxi driver. There is also a subway station with the same name.
The food is good, but a little overpriced. Anyway it's a good place, if you're in Chengdu for a limited time and want to try everything in a short time...

KuanZhai Alley in Chengdu.
KuanZhai Alley is one of the most important landmarks and tourist attractions of Chengdu. The recommended sightseeing time is between one to two hours. Beautiful surroundings, impressive architecture are two characteristics that make worthy to visit this place. Speaking of food, it would take a long time to sample all the traditional dishes. Every speciality is reasonably-priced so there is no excuse to try some local cuisine. After the visit, you can also enjoy some shopping or nice food as there are many restaurants and shops around the area. This place is open 24 hours.

Kuanzhai Alley | Chengdu
Getting There - You can take a bus, subway, taxi, walk or cycle to this alley. Make sure you have your green code ready!
Attractions - There are so many cool photographic spots all the way down the alley. It’s meant to be a creative alley so you will find many people taking pictures and shooting videos.
Hotels - available all around the area not sure about in the alley though.
Food & Restaurants - There are plenty of souvenir shops and local snack stores. We actually walked passed a mini bar in the middle of the road which was cool to see. There are lots of fruit and juice bars along the way too.
Kuanzhai Alley - show, food, souvenirs
Getting There - metro line 4 (宽窄巷子站)
Attractions - traditional performance, tea rooms, local food and souvenirs
Food & Restaurants - MUG (craft beer bar)
Kuanzhai Alley is a very touristic place. I don't think that local people often go to the place like this, it's busy and a bit expensive. However as tourists we had a lot of fun exploring shops and watching a face changing show in the little theatre. If you are around this area, go to a craft brewery there called MUG

Chengdu Book Store, located beside a narrow alley, can be accessed via an orange spiral staircase. The view from the entrance is stunning. The space inside is divided in a unique manner, and there are beautiful sights all around. The bookstore sells coffee, and there are also seats so that you can sit and read. You can also buy souvenirs, potted plants, and much more.
Kyanzhai Alley is regular walking street with expensive restaurants and bars. It looks new and beautiful. There were a lot of people. Around this area are scattered small shops with locally manufactured special products and gifts. Painting and replica on the walls are vivid and make impression that it is like in 3 dimension.
I think it should be visited to make a whole city portrait, especially, taking into account that Alley is located so close to Chengdu People's park.
Kuanzhai Alley is located near Changshun Street in Qingyang District, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province.
It is composed of Kuanzhai Alley, Narrow Alley, and Well Alley in a parallel arrangement. It is an antique courtyard with full of Qingdai bricks. This is also a relatively large-scale Qing Dynasty ancient street left in Chengdu Together with Daci Temple and Wenshuyuan, it is known as the three protected historical and cultural cities of Chengdu.😻

After giving birth to the baby, I didnt return to Chengdu for a while. I felt that I changed the tourists instantly, and went to the wide and narrow alleys for a circle. Visitors took ^^ drops!
Share a few small experiences:
1, all the snacks in Kuanzhai Alley are not good (note that it is all!) If you eat, it is recommended to take a few steps, there is a good food to Guihua Lane. Eat, and the squid noodles in the alley is not bad
2, if you have not tried public ears, you can try
3, if you want to avoid the crowd, please come early in the morning or in the middle of the night, don't be afraid to close the door, don't have The general flavor of my first time to Kuanzhai Alley is one o'clock in the morning, the small bar is still open, very mood
4, afternoon tea can just look for a good looking to sit down and drink, some can see what is changing face, Basically, the performances in different shops in the wide and narrow alleys are similar, because basically the actors are everywhere, and it is not recommended for dinner.
Chengdu 2 Days 1 Night Travel Super Raiders (Sights, Food, Accommodation Raiders)
Day 1 : Daci Temple - IFS Panda - People's Park Cover Bowl Tea & Ears - Kuanzhai Alley
:
This should be the earliest place to open the door around Taikoo Li, and meet the first batch of guests on time at 8 o'clock, tickets are free! Its location is amazing, just in the center of Taikoo Li, a clean place hidden in the downtown and noisy.
IFS Panda:
IFS As a gathering place for Chengdu fashionistas, it is natural that you can't miss it, especially the giant panda that is burning all over the world. Don't think that the panda that lingers on IFS is only on the back, on the top floor is the front of the panda, and the person who comes to punch the card is more hin! Need to line up every day! If you can come when the mall opens at 10:00, you don't need to queue up, and you can easily get a photo with the panda.
People's Park (covering bowls of tea & ears):
To Chengdu, you must experience the bowl of tea, and experience the Heming Tea Club, which will come to the Peoples Park. Heming Tea House has a history of over 100 years and is very popular. Many local people drink tea, play cards, sleep, and lick their ears. Chengdu people drink tea, a cup of tea can drink a day, this slow pace, I ask you not to accept? !
Width and narrow alley:
If you think that the wide and narrow alley is just a scenic spot, it is too underestimated the vicissitudes of the wide and narrow alley.
Kuanzhai Alley consists of wide alleys, narrow alleys and wells arranged in parallel. The three lanes have their own division of labor. They are all antique brick courtyards. It is also a relatively large-scale Qing Dynasty left over from Chengdu. Ancient street.

Palladium Street:
2018, the British travel guide magazine "Time Out" named Chengdu's Palladium Street as "the world's coolest 50 city block", the reason for the selection is: Palladium Street and its surrounding small streets perfect It embodies the juxtaposition of modern and traditional Chengdu, with diet as Leisure culture.
:
The movie "Predecessor 3" brought a lot of fire to Chengdu. The West Village compound is one of them! The biggest feeling here is that it is artistic. And very grounded, many life scenes that have disappeared in the city, in the West Village compound, may be able to find it back
Food recommendation:
: Awards countless, may be The best hoof flower in Chengdu is there. There is a

Kuanzhai Alley is a well-preserved Qing Dynasty ancient street in Chengdu. It is also known as the Three Historic Districts of Chengdu, and is composed of a wide street, a narrow alley and a well alley. They are all antique brick courtyards. It is also a relatively large-scale Qing Dynasty ancient street left by Chengdu. After the overall transformation, it became a "Tianfu Lesser City" with the meaning of "Old Chengdu Film, New City Living Room".
It has a unique style, showing the taste of life that Chengdu is worth playing. With a casual taste, history and culture, we can enjoy a good time in the busy city centre.
wide alley: a nostalgic zone with an old face; narrow alley: a favorite extension of the petty bourgeoisie; well alley: a scene reappearance of the old Chengdu city - the reputation of the People's Park in the past two years It has gradually been replaced by Kuanzhai Alley, and it has become a red land in Chengdu!
Kuanzhai Alley is the epitome of the ancient and young city of Chengdu, and the symbol of the city's memory.

When it comes to Chengdu's tourist attractions, it is a wide and narrow alley. It must not be missed. In the bungalows near the Jingxiangzi, various small shops are distributed as if they were in ancient times. There is a feeling of crossing.
There are also very lovely B&Bs nearby, and their pandas are decorated with ginkgo leaves.
There is also a sign of the wellhead near the well alley. The map of Chengdu is surrounded by the wellhead. It is very distinctive and very design.
mentioned in Chengdu, most tourists think of the wide and narrow alleys, but the well alley is rarely known. In fact, the distance from the well alley to the wide alley is only a few steps away.
Speaking of Chengdu attractions, Kuanzhai Alley should be the most abandoned place but still a lot of tourists. So, why do tourists who come to Chengdu generally go to the place of punching cards? Kuanzhai Alley is a relatively large-scale Qing Dynasty ancient street left by Chengdu. It has a certain ancient charm, such as the entrance to the wide and narrow alley. Old-fashioned sewing machines, bicycles of the 80s and 90s... These vivid three-dimensional wall paintings have become a backdrop for tourists to take photos with, and it is a good place to take tourists.
There is an old Chengdu Life Experience Hall on the wide alley. The folk customs and old Chengdu folk customs are here, and perhaps you can see some of the shadows of old Chengdu life. The narrow alley is the slow life area, where there are many quite styled bars and restaurants, suitable for young artists.

The Memories of Time in Kuanzhai Alley
In the hustle and bustle of Chengdu, Kuanzhai Alley is like a quiet chapter of time, silently telling the stories of the past. Stepping into this ancient and quaint neighborhood feels like traveling through time, back to a leisurely and carefree era.
Along the alley, the residences with their grey bricks and black tiles are arranged in an orderly fashion, with each door concealing a story from the past. A gentle breeze carries the fragrance of flowers, refreshing the spirit. Occasionally, the laughter of children breaks the tranquility, yet it also adds a touch of liveliness to life.
The most eye-catching are the vivid sculptures. Whether standing or sitting, their varied postures seem to narrate the stories of yesteryears. Among them, a sculpture of a man riding a bicycle with a child seated behind him is particularly striking. Both faces are brimming with happiness, a scene that radiates the warmth of family and evokes memories of the past.
In Kuanzhai Alley, every step is a journey, and every view is a painting. Here, one can find not only the traces of history but also the warmth of life. Let us seek together the beauty that time has forgotten.
cassia_serenity_valentine The fusion of modern life with tradition
Chengdu is a city that I often think about visiting, and some say it's a city you don't want to leave once you've been. I took the opportunity to go there, and it was enjoyable and fun. I visited Kuanzhai Alley again, especially the narrow alley, where modern life and traditional architecture are organically integrated. This is perhaps the greatest charm of Chengdu.
I'm so thrilled! There's such a cool place in Chengdu!!
