New Zealand 🇳🇿 Restaurant
#timetotravel
Kiwiana is a New Zealand themed restaurant located near China Art Museum in Pudong, Shanghai.
The interior of the restaurant makes references to films that are set in New Zealand and there is a central table that has lots of characters that depict a scene from a film. The food that is imported from New Zealand is a bit more expensive than some of the over food but it’s worth trying #foodie #mytripvlog

A Grand Tour of Chinese-Style Landscape Art, Embarking on a Journey of Chinese Aesthetics
The 'Chinese-Style Landscape' exhibition at the China Art Palace explores the artistic paths of Lin Fengmian and Wu Guanzhong through horizontal comparisons between Chinese and Western cultures, vertical tug-of-wars between ancient and modern ink paintings, and the relationship between the external form and internal essence of art.
From the perspectives of nationality, era, and individuality, the exhibition delves into the ontology of art from the outside in. The artists, with their highly personalized explorations, define and expand the essence and connotations of art, thereby realizing the social value of art for people.
Both artists, with their integrated knowledge of Chinese and Western cultures, have shaped a new visage for ink painting, infusing the literati-led creation of traditional Chinese painting with the lively blood of folk art and elements of the times, pioneering a new course for the development of Chinese painting. This has enabled the diverse modern development of ink art, including abstract ink, new ink, and experimental ink.
To appreciate their depictions of Chinese-style landscapes is also to experience the landscapes of the era and the personal inner landscapes of the artists.
Lin Fengmian extensively studied various types of folk art and, through Chinese opera, shadow play, and paper cutting, reinterpreted Cubism's free handling of space and time, pioneering 'color ink painting'.
'I am Chinese, with Chinese roots and lineage, and naturally like to express my own things.' This has always been the underlying tone in Lin Fengmian's works.

Chinese-Style Scenery - The Grand Exhibition of Lin Fengmian and Wu Guanzhong's Art
I visited the 'Chinese-Style Scenery - The Grand Exhibition of Lin Fengmian and Wu Guanzhong's Art' at the China Art Museum (Shanghai Art Museum), which is the largest and most prestigious exhibition of Lin Fengmian and Wu Guanzhong's art in China. The exhibition centers around the exquisite collections of state-owned art institutions in Shanghai, gathering precious collections of Lin Fengmian and Wu Guanzhong from major art institutions in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangdong, and Zhejiang. It deeply analyzes the exploration, achievements, and influence of the two art masters with a new academic context, presenting their 'answers' to the questions of the times - an innovative spirit that integrates Chinese and Western, ancient and modern, and uses art to explore and create the 'Chinese-Style Scenery'. The exhibition features 200 pieces (sets) of artworks covering Chinese paintings, oil paintings, watercolors, sketches, and other categories of fine art created by Lin Fengmian and Wu Guanzhong at different stages of their artistic careers. Among them, the masterpieces from the mature periods of Lin Fengmian and Wu Guanzhong account for about half, making it an unprecedented event. The exhibition comprehensively reviews the artistic achievements of the two giants in the Chinese painting circle, offering people an epic level of artistic dialogue, and is very much worth seeing.

Exhibition: Shanghai in Fine Art
I visited the China Art Museum (Shanghai Art Museum) and saw the 'Shanghai in Fine Art' exhibition. The exhibition's artworks start with late Qing Dynasty photography 'Distant View of the Bund in Shanghai', and go up to the latest constructions in Shanghai as depicted in contemporary fine art, presenting the nearly thousand-year historical evolution of the great Shanghai through a series of artworks.
China Art Museum
One museum, eight exhibitions, free and no reservation required
China Art Museum, one museum and eight exhibitions, full of sincerity! Free and no reservation required. Located in the original China Pavilion of the World Expo, directly accessible by Line 8 of the subway. The art exhibitions of Mr. Lin Fengmian and Mr. Wu Guanzhong, 'Chinese Style Scenery', are highly recommended, gathering 100 pieces (sets) of masterpieces from both artists. The twelfth Shanghai Art Exhibition is also very good, in addition to paintings, there are sculptures and installations suitable for taking pictures.
'Iron Bone and Blue-Green' Qian Shoutie Art Exhibition
In 1927, Qian Shoutie was invited by the Japanese cultural department to participate in the 'China-Japan Art Exhibition'. He later held personal 'calligraphy, painting, and seal carving exhibitions' multiple times at the invitation of friends in Japan. His skills amazed Japan, and people in Kyoto competed to have a word, a stroke, and a seal from Qian Shoutie as an honor.
His works not only have the aesthetic characteristics of traditional literati paintings, but also the spirit of the new century. In that era when 'westernization' was rampant, his understanding and interpretation of the value of literati painting were extremely clear and valuable, and his position in art history was thus established.
Qian Shoutie's landscape paintings are derived from ancient methods, mixed with the Huangshan painting school, and follow the law of Shi Tao, forming a 'bold and vigorous brushwork, and a grand atmosphere'. His artistic achievements have long been integrated into the city, and his interpretation and promotion of the inherent value of literati painting, especially when Shanghai is facing a new round of urban cultural development and opportunities.
Qian Shoutie is a great master in the history of modern Chinese art, and he is still a distinguished pioneer of the Shanghai School that we remember. It can be firmly believed that the works of Mr. Qian Shoutie will turn into thousands of fine wines. The fire will be passed on, the fragrance will continue, and the spirit of the Shanghai School culture will intoxicate the Huangpu River.

Exhibition Date: June 10, 2023 - June 28, 2023

Shanghai China Art Palace Travel Guide
The China Art Palace was once the China Pavilion during the Shanghai World Expo. If you didn't have the opportunity to appreciate its true face during the Expo, you can now visit this magnificent building at leisure. In addition to admiring the treasure of the museum - the multimedia version of 'Along the River During the Qingming Festival', it also displays the works of many modern artists.
The exhibition hall of the multimedia version of 'Along the River During the Qingming Festival' is located on the 49-meter level. Since the closing of the Expo, the multimedia version of 'Along the River During the Qingming Festival' has permanently settled here. Today, it is still one of the highlights of the China Art Palace. On this level, you can also visit the 'Moon Over the Sea - The Source of Modern Chinese Art' exhibition hall, where you can appreciate the paintings of the 'Sea School' that combines Chinese and Western styles. This is also a long-term exhibition. From a high point, you can overlook the nearby Mercedes-Benz Center and other classic Expo venues through the window.
Other floors mainly display various works of art by famous modern Chinese artists, as well as temporary exhibitions of domestic and foreign art works. The content of the temporary exhibition is often changed, and you can enjoy art exhibits from museums around the world from time to time. The works of the long-term exhibition are also very rich, among which the larger ones are the 'China Art Palace Shadow Puppet Art Exhibition' on the 0-meter level, the 'Wu Language·Dialect - Shanghai Artist Invitation Exhibition', and the 'He Youzhi Painting Story - Museum Collection Donation Exhibition' and so on.

Quite a remarkable building filled with exciting art. One of the few places we went in Shanghai or Beijing that had very little English signage, but the art mostly spoke for itself. Great to see groups of kids touring the museum with teachers. #wintergetaway

Shanghai World Expo card Raiders
Do you want to miss all the good scenery of the destination? Look at my strategy is right!
I divided Shanghai into more than a dozen areas, which is convenient for everyone to travel according to the area, all the places I introduce are unique scenery only in Shanghai.
This tour is to be introduced in the [World Expo]
2 China Pavilion: the biggest highlight is the multimedia version of the Qingming River map, if you have no time to enjoy other works of art, go straight to the top floor La. Everything in the painting is alive, and there is melodious music, the effect of day and night conversion and a small river. The viewing experience is absolutely 100 points.
3 Mercedes-Benz Cultural Center: The main purpose of many people coming to the Magic City is to come here, all kinds of performances and competitions all year round. I have watched several concerts in it, and the stadiums with very high specifications have excellent sound effects. The seats on the top of the mountain are a bit steep. It is also worth seeing when there is no performance. A flying saucer-type building with changing lights is very cool. On the top floor of Mei Ben, there is a viewing corridor that overlooks the Huangpu River
4 Expo Park: the park on the Huangpu River. Every year, I will come to the simple festival of National Day, blowing the wind and listening to music. The temperature in Shanghai is just too good, too comfortable
5Expo axis: very beautiful shopping malls, especially at night when there are lights on the outer wall, the first choice for a tired rest
6 aircraft: at the national exhibition The abandoned Boeing 747 has become a new network red card, and there are even many people who want to climb the plane to take pictures. It is said that the security guards have started to charge now, but this is not a problem for those who have drones. /
7 Moon Boat: I originally wanted to recommend the Saudi Pavilion to everyone. I found out that I have closed. The Expo will be lined up besides the China Pavilion. The second longest is it. Its beautiful atrium and green concept left a deep impression on me. It is said that it will be moved to Changzhou intact. Another thing to say is that when you travel, try to walk as much as you can. Its not necessarily that the attractions are gone.
After a long period of time, I look back at this land again. It retains the original Expo style, but adds Shanghai style and fashion elements. The China Pavilion has transformed into the China Art Palace, and you can enjoy art exhibits and temporary exhibitions from museums around the world from time to time.
After the Expo, there are permanent buildings such as the Italian Center and the Moon Boat (both closed), which can only be visited outside. You can also see them in the Netherlands Pavilion, the Croatian Pavilion, the Romanian Pavilion, and the Luxembourg Grand Mansion.
I found a street sign and saw that the place where I originally lived was originally the B area of the World Expo. After the Expo, I will prepare to build the headquarters of the major enterprises according to the municipal planning. Its really a sense of enthusiasm, mixed feelings and thoughts. what.
When the Expo Park fountain was arrived, it was already in the evening. The sunset glow seems to be red for the entire sky. The music fountain show of Expo Source has two games every weekend. Open 2 times every night at 6 o'clock and 7 o'clock, each time lasts about 20 minutes. Listen carefully and you will find these famous songs - "Ode to Joy", "Golden Snake Dance", "Blue Danube".
Light show of different colors, Haibao is the same theme. Walk along the steps to the "Sunshine Valley" and you will see a musical fountain show surrounded by waves of water. The music fountain brings together high-tech means such as music, lighting, laser, ring jet, etc., unless it encounters extreme weather such as typhoon. Continuous performance.
At night, stroll along the World Expo permanent building Expo Axis to become the Expo source, and watch the beautiful landscape show every day.
