Unique Chicken Shrine
#bangkoktrip
If you're in the Samut Sakhon province, a visit to the "Pun Tai Nor Ra Sing" shrine is definitely worth your time.
At the shrine, you can pay your respects to the deity with a statue of "Pun Tai Nor Ra Sing" for worship. It is customary to offer a rooster model as a payoff following local faith, and there are plenty of rooster models available for purchase at the shrine.
Overall, the "Pun Tai Nor Ra Sing" shrine is a great destination with its unique religious offerings, it is a great place to spend a day exploring and experiencing the local culture.

Samut Sakhon Aquarium
#thailandtrip
This place was a lovely little find, lots of unique fish that you can't find at other aquariums like Rayong for example.
It's really small, but it's free, it's fun and easy to park and access. If it was a little bigger it would be 5 stars. You should visit though!
Rather small aquarium, it was nice though and had a lot of information available.......

Detours and Delights: Embracing the Unexpect
#thingstodo #MyCancelJourney ##myfailplanning Embarking on an adventure to Maeklong Train Market, I found myself caught in a delightful maze of unexpected twists and turns. Despite my late start to the day, I set out with enthusiasm, only to find myself stranded at Ban Laem station, just shy of reaching my destination.
With no train connections available to Maeklong at 3 pm, I faced a dilemma: continue my journey and risk missing the spectacle of the train passing through the market, or retreat to Bangkok and try again another day. Caught between the allure of exploration and the constraints of time, I made the difficult decision to postpone my visit to Maeklong Train Market.
However, in the midst of my disappointment, a stroke of inspiration struck. Why not embrace the journey itself, rather than fixating on the destination? And so, I embarked on a reverse adventure, charting a course from Ban Laem Station to Tha Chalom, then onwards to Mahachai Station via ferry.
From Mahachai, I boarded a train bound for Wonwian Yai Railway Station, relishing in the rhythm of the tracks and the sights unfolding outside my window. Though I may not have reached Maeklong Train Market that day, I discovered the joy of serendipitous exploration and the beauty of unexpected detours.
As I journeyed back to Bangkok, I reflected on the inherent magic of travel – the moments of spontaneity, the encounters with the unknown, and the stories that unfold when plans go awry. While Maeklong Train Market may have eluded me for now, the memories of my impromptu adventure will forever linger in my heart, a testament to the unpredictable, yet enchanting nature of travel. Not to forget, it's worth noting that the journey to Maeklong Train Station itself takes approximately 3 hours, a valuable piece of information for future travelers planning their visit.
