Pork Ribs Soup Anyone ?

#mustvisit - For Lovers of Bak Kut Teh Address - Song Fa Bak Kut Teh, Waterway Point East Wing, 83 Punggol Central, Unit 01-24, Singapore 828761 Operating Hours - 11:00AM to 09:00PM (Mon - Thu) 11:00AM to 09:30PM (Fri & Sat) 10:30AM to 09:00PM (Sun & PH) Ambiance/Facilities - Cosy restaurant, air-conditioned seating Highlights - Bak Kut Teh, pork trotters and more Rating - 4 / 5 Waterway Point Feature Series - 34 This popular Chinese restaurant is located at the East Wing side of Waterway Point @ level 1, just beside Sushi Express. Song Fa Bak Kut Teh is a very well established name on the local food scene as well as internationally for their signature clear bak kut teh or slow cooked pork ribs soup simmered with a blend of herbs, garlic and pepper. Love the peppery soup and you can taste the riches of the broth. Other signature must try dishes include the pork trotters in vinegar and dark soya sauce as well as my all time favourite of braised large intestines. Well cooked trotter meat that is easy to eat and simply love the springy intestines in my mouth without any after taste. Remember to eat with dark soya sauce and cut chilli padi ! During peak hours, expect a super long queue by local bak kut teh lovers as well as Chinese tourists who make Song Fa a popular MustVisit pit stop in their Singapore travels just to try their pork ribs soup. If you can't wait, I suggest you order for takeaway or online delivery and enjoy the food in the comfort of your own home like I did lol. Do give them a try if you are into bak kut teh ! Highly recommended ! #makansutra #sgfoodie #rediscoversg

Paya Lebar Square
#mustvisit - HALAL Sichuan Food in Singapore Address - Paya Lebar Square, 60 Paya Lebar Rd, Unit 01-77/80 Paya Lebar Square, Singapore 409051 Operating Hours - 10:30AM to 09:30PM Monday - Sunday (Daily) Ambiance/Facilities - HALAL Certified eatery, airconditioned seating Highlights - Sichuan cuisine and more Avg. Price per Person - From $10.00 up Rating - 4 / 5 Paya Lebar Feature Series - 2 This HALAL Sichuan eatery is located just beside Jco Donuts at Paya Lebar Square and you can easily spot it when you exit from Paya Lebar MRT main entrance. The entrance facing the MRT is closed though so you need to enter via the mall. Delibowl Ricebowl offers authentic Sichuan cuisine in a unique cosy eatery setting. Check out their signatures which include Stir-Fried Mapo Tofu in Hot Sauce, Sichuan Style Fried Eggplant etc. Non spicy dishes are actually available so fret not if you aren't a fan of spicy food. Now ordering is quite easy via the Self Ordering Menu Panel at the kiosk at the entrance, mall side. You have the option of going ala carte with rice or take on a set meal which comes with a side dish, and soup or drink. Try their homemade drinks like milk tea, lemon tea and even barley etc, served in a pouch. For my visit today, I ordered the Stire-Fried Tofu in Hot Sauce which is actually a very classic Mapo Tofu set with silken tofu cubes, minced chicken, fermented beans, soya beans and Sichuan peppercorns. My side was a spicy tofu noodle salad which is favourite cold dish of mine also (I always will order this when I visit other Chinese eateries especially like those serving Dong Bei North Eastern cuisine). Instead of soup, I opted for a can of coke and they gave me in ice in their signature pouch too. Overall, a true blue, savoury Sichuan favourite that goes down well with rice lol. Always my favourite to go / MustVisit eatery when I have cravings for Sichuan food lol. As the taste is very near to authentic Sichuan cuisine from the mainland, I definitely recommend this as a MustVisit place to go to if you haven't tried any Sichuan cuisine before and you are lover of spicy Chinese food with fermented beans and Sichuan peppercorns unique to the Sichuan region. There’s plenty of seating space available as they occupy 2 units. Do pop by ! #sichuanfood #sgfoodie #rediscoversg
