It was built during the British colonial period. It was completed in 1954. The whole train ride is 46 kilometres long, and it last for around 2 hours. Of course you may get off at any station you wish. During the slow ride, you can observed many local Burmese doing their daily activities such as buying and selling in markets. It also past by many local villages. The view is rather nice and it’s a good break from the busy street.
