Location: About 1.5km walk from the nearest train station exit, which may be challenging with luggage. Fine for backpackers. The hotel is centrally located near Dotonbori, close to the night market and not far from the Glico sign. Cleanliness: Very clean. No issues. Water heater works well, especially during winter. Service: Staff are helpful and can speak both English and Japanese. Facilities: Decent and suitable for solo travellers. Quiet at night with minimal noise. Water dispenser and laundry are available. Overall: Slightly far from the train station but well located for exploring Dotonbori, night markets, and nearby malls. Rooms are a bit small, so for two people, a larger room is recommended.

There are 3 people in our group, and the hotel has rooms with 3 separate beds available. The facilities and cleanliness are good, and it’s close to the train station and convenience stores. The only issue is that there is only one women’s restroom, so you may have to wait during peak hours.

It's been over 10 years since I last visited Osaka, so I specifically booked this hotel nearby. I chose it based on the price, ratings, and reviews, and it definitely didn't disappoint – it exceeded my expectations! It offers incredible value for money. It's only a 5 to 8-minute walk from the busiest part of Shinsaibashi. The facilities are very new, and the service is excellent. The room facilities were better than I expected, and I was lucky enough to be assigned to the top floor, so the view was incredibly open and bright. If I could stay on the top floor again next time, that would be absolutely wonderful.

I checked in quite late, and the staff member who assisted me spoke Chinese. She was very warm and attentive, explaining all the important details clearly. The Life supermarket is not far away, and after 8 PM, they have discounted food like sushi and bento boxes, which is really convenient. The room itself was spacious and felt very new.

This is absolutely value for money. But I think this place is also not for everybody. If you are easily scared, dont book here. The homeless around the area might not be comfortable for some. We stayed in 4 different hotels this trip and we found Bakuro the best value for money. It is just sad that most of our train rides while in this hotel was in Shin Imamiya which is the 10 mins walk away not the Haginochaya one which is just 2 mins away. There's a Lawson that is 3-5 mins walk. Not too many options for stores around. Would I go back to this hotel? I might if I want to save money.

The hotel is literally beside a train station which is really convenient to go to airport. And there’s a family mart just 2 mins away as well. But the thing is the room really small and very small walkway for you to walk. And the sound proofing is so weak that you’ll able to hear the loud snoring from the room next to you if so happened there’s one. And I would really not recommend to those who not used to shared bathroom as it’s quite inconvenient and for female bathroom is at ground floor and need to pass by the hotel entrance and public area which is dining area that there’s bunch of people being there for using laptop and eating almost the whole day. First time trying this kind of hotel and guess it’s not my type but it’s good for experience.

Excellent stay in a prime location! The hotel offers an affordable breakfast on the ground floor with a good variety of options to start the day. The room was exceptionally clean, making the stay very comfortable, and the hot water pressure was strong and consistent—perfect after a long day of sightseeing. I really appreciated the pajamas provided by the hotel, which helped me pack lighter and added an extra level of convenience and comfort to the stay. The location is a major highlight. The hotel is just across Dotonbori, surrounded by plenty of shopping spots and food options. Getting there was easy as well—from Kansai Airport, I took the bus with a drop-off at Doton Plaza, which is only a few minutes’ walk to the hotel. It’s also very close to Nipponbashi Subway Station, a common meet-up and drop-off point for Klook tours. Overall, this is a clean, comfortable, and very conveniently located hotel that I would happily stay at again.

Let me start with the issues I encountered. On the night I checked in, I noticed the bathtub drainage was extremely poor – it barely drained at all. The first night was fine, but I forgot to mention it when I went out the next day. I only remembered when I needed to use it that evening. The whole process involved calling the front desk to report it, the front desk calling me back to come downstairs, then being told I needed to pack all my luggage and check out before I could switch rooms. So, I painstakingly packed my luggage, went downstairs with it, and then had to re-check in. It was truly an exhausting, tedious, and very unpleasant experience. Now for the overall experience: 1. The drainage system is terrible. Even after I switched rooms, I specifically checked the bathtub drainage, and it was still very slow. 2. The sink drain frequently emitted a sewer smell, which was quite disgusting when brushing my teeth. 3. No microwave... a heartbreak for instant noodle lovers. I think the front desk can help heat things up, but I still prefer to do it myself in the room. The only good thing is: The location is excellent. There's FamilyMart, 7-Eleven, Lawson, Matsuya, and Starbucks nearby. And the subway is indeed very close. By the way, the closest exit is probably Exit 10, which also has a direct elevator. I was misled by the map and kept using Exit 9.

✨ Acro Capsule Hotel (Japan) 🇯🇵 My first time staying in a capsule hotel, and honestly, I was more impressed than I expected! 📍 Location: Amazing! It’s very close to Dotonbori—just a few minutes’ walk to food, shopping, and nightlife. Also near train stations, so getting around is super convenient. 🛏 Capsule Room: I thought it would be very small, but it’s actually more spacious than expected. I could stretch out comfortably. There’s decent privacy with a curtain, plus a power outlet and personal light. 🧼 Cleanliness: Highly rated! The bathrooms and showers are very clean. Amenities are provided, including towels and a hair dryer. 👩💼 Staff: Friendly, helpful, and able to communicate in English, which makes everything much easier. 👍 Pros: - Great value for money, perfect for budget travelers - Excellent central location - Secure system with lockers for your belongings ⚠️ Cons: - If you get an upper capsule, climbing up and down can be a bit inconvenient (though it’s slightly cheaper than the lower one) - Some noise is unavoidable since it’s a shared space - It can feel a bit warm or stuffy at times 💬 Overall: Perfect for solo travelers or anyone who wants to try the capsule hotel experience in Japan. If you don’t mind limited personal space, it’s definitely worth it!

HHeiressjloThe room itself is well maintained and the facilities are common basic ones that I need as a solo female traveler. It a 5 minute walk to Juso Station and a lot of convenience store around. They have a coin laundry machine as well so it was easier to wash clothes when I needed it. All additional things that you need such as toiletries are also readily available at the lobby area. And the best part was the free breakfast!

CChangjiangdashayuThe main reason I booked this hotel is its unbeatable proximity to USJ. You literally walk out and in two to three minutes, you're at the park entrance. This gives you a huge advantage for morning queues, and if it gets too hot during the day, you can pop back for a break before heading out to play again in the afternoon. The second major point is that the rooms here are the biggest among the surrounding hotels. You don't feel cramped or squashed, unlike those 'sparrow hotels' you often find elsewhere in Japan. It feels much more spacious and comfortable. I didn't try the food at the hotel this time, but it looked pretty good. Plus, there's a shopping street right below the hotel, making it super convenient for both dining and shopping. Overall, big rooms and the best location are this hotel's biggest strengths. I'll definitely stay here again on my next trip to USJ.

PPAPI MARKLively Osaka was very cozy & very friendly staffs who all spoke decent English. Their hospitality was definitely one of the best I’ve been to in 🇯🇵 also a good size room for BIZ traveller (wish they offered 1 King instead of 2 twins). Bfast was acceptable but if u stay more then few nights might get tired of them since it’s the same daily! Overall was a nice experience & will for sure try their sister hotel chains in other cities!

GGuest UserI stayed at FL Hotel Dotonbori for two nights. When I arrived at Osaka Station, I was happy that the hotel was within walking distance, so getting there was very easy. The hotel is located slightly behind the main Dotonbori area, but it’s still close enough to walk to all the main attractions. The location is definitely convenient. When you enter the hotel, the amenities are placed in front of the reception, so you need to pick up whatever you need from the lobby before going up to your room. They provide pajamas, slippers, and other basic amenities. One nice thing is that they offer free breakfast every morning. It’s simple, just two pieces of bread per person and hot drinks, but it’s still a nice touch. Everything is set up in front of the reception, and you can take it back to your room. For me, there were a few downsides. I noticed a suspicious stain on the blanket on my bed. It wasn’t on the bedsheet itself, but on the blanket, which made me feel like housekeeping may have overlooked it. The room size is about average for Japan. I was able to fit three large suitcases in the room, but there wasn’t much walking space, so I had to step around them. Another issue is that the rooms are not very soundproof. Unfortunately, during my stay, my neighbors were quite loud at night, so that affected my sleep

KKanguowangdeyunThe room was clean and tidy, and the front desk staff were very friendly and welcoming. Although check-in at 3 PM was a bit late, it was great that they had luggage storage. The location is super convenient – it's just a 5-minute walk to the hotel from Shinsaibashi Exit 5. It's really easy to go shopping or access the subway from here. I've stayed here several times already.

GGuest UserI arrived at 2:30 PM, but early check-in wasn't available. Still, I appreciated being able to store my luggage! I'm not sure about the exact capacity of the place I booked, but it seemed to accommodate about 20 people. There wasn't a dedicated spot for suitcases; instead, you'd use a lock and key provided at check-in to secure your bags. I liked that there were individual shoe compartments! Most importantly, the free drinks in the common area were a great bonus, and I made good use of them. The cleanliness was also impressive! Although it was a shared bathroom, the showers were individual stalls, and they were well-equipped with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, a hairdryer, and even a hair straightener. Towels, however, needed to be rented. The bed assignment was given at check-in. The main issue was that the curtain for my bunk was half mesh, and even at night, the lights didn't turn off, making it hard to get a good night's sleep. I could hear everything, and it was too bright. That was my biggest disappointment. Despite that, the other facilities were good, and I had a pleasant one-night stay!

XXLbaoWe stayed at The Singulari Hotel & Skyspa at Universal Studios Japan during our 4th trip to Japan and our first traveling with our auADHD toddler. This was our second hotel in Osaka, and we arrived by taxi directly from our previous hotel. Taxi tip: make sure you show the taxi driver the hotel name and address in Japanese. Our driver initially dropped us at Universal Studios Japan instead of the hotel entrance and that cost us when it showed him the Google maps address. The hotel staff themselves were excellent. They deal with international guest on the daily and some speak English. Our forwarded luggage was received without issue and delivered directly to our room, which made arrival seamless. They have forms for luggage transport themselves that I used for our KIX airport hotel. Service throughout our stay was efficient and professional, and the staff clearly explained all hotel procedures. The biggest advantage of this property is its location. It is about a 10-minute walk to the entrance of Universal Studios Japan, which gives you a real edge if you plan to rope drop. The subway station is directly outside the hotel entrance, making transportation extremely convenient. Universal Citywalk is steps away, with Starbucks, Lawson, Bikkuri Donki (Great for familes by the way), shopping, and countless restaurants all within immediate reach. If you’re visiting USJ, I strongly recommend arriving at the park entrance by 7:30 a.m. We arrived around 8:30 a.m., and it made the first ride strategy noticeably more challenging. Luckily disability service helped a little as it was similar to Disney when you have to go to the Fast Pass staff to get a return time but USJ uses pen and paper. The earlier you position yourself for rope drop, the smoother your morning will be. Lines were extremely long and we were only able to see half the park. Unless you have 2 days at USJ, I recommend buying the Express pass packages as early as possible as they were all sold out the day of. Definitely a big regret as we only had 1 day there. The onsen sauna was of an average size. After long park days, it was incredibly relaxing. The baths are separated by gender, and there are no private rentable family spaces, so that’s something to keep in mind if traveling to onsen if you are not comfortable going commando with others. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom felt slightly dated but it was clean and fully functional. One thing I missed was having a small kitchenette and in-room washer/dryer. Laundry is available on the spa floor via coin machines, but in-room units would have been more better. On our second day, we made a day trip to Ghibli Park in Aichi, which took about 2.5 hours each way via Shinkansen and local transit. It’s doable but long. If your primary focus is Universal Studios Japan, this hotel is an excellent strategic base. If you plan multiple long day trips outside Osaka, you may want something more centrally located. I should have planned a day to stay at Nagoya for my Ghibli Park day. Overall, The Singulari is ideal for travelers prioritizing proximity to Universal Studios Japan, easy transit access (but not centrally located), and post-park relaxation in a quality onsen setting.

GGuest UserThis hotel is quite new with excellent facilities. The location is a bit hard to judge because I took a wrong turn coming from the airport. It's about a 10-minute walk from the hotel to Shinsaibashi for shopping. The positive review is for the male staff member who spoke Chinese. The female staff member who checked me in was very unfriendly and the process was complicated. The male staff member resolved the issue later, and his attitude was exceptionally good. Although I still don't understand what was wrong with the previous room, he eventually moved me to a family room, and I was able to check in smoothly. Some luggage can be left at the front desk, while others are required to be stored on the first floor in self-locking lockers. I'm not quite sure why there's a difference. The room facilities are excellent and very new. The breakfast is delicious, just like at other Tokyu Stay hotels. You pick up your toiletries yourself, and there's complimentary coffee.
