Hotels With WiFi in County Cork, Ireland

We stated for one night over the bankholiday weekend. Plenty of parking and a short stroll to the beach. Checkin was extremely quick. We had dinner and drinks downstairs in the lighthouse bar the food was exceptional and the service was fantastic. We used the pool and the outdoor hot tub which was lovely as pool itself seemed a little cold. We had a room on the 4th floor with a lovely little balcony which was unexpected that looked out over the car park and beyond. The bed was lovely and comfortable, the room is decorated with dark features including black paint but this showed up the evidently dusty areas of the room especially the radiator cover, while there was also heavy staining and debris on the carpet by the entryway and the water in the pre filled glass bottle tasted as if it had been there for days. The bathroom is lovely and similarly decorated however the existing low bathtub could be replaced with a lovely walk-in shower. We weren't told at checkin about any works going on in the hotel but we had our thoughts that there was because as we reached our room you could see dusty footprints emerging from a door directly opposite ours which was not a room this was confirmed the following morning when we were woken before 9 with drilling and sawing that was happening in the hallway. The guest directory said there was free WiFi but all networks were locked and no password to be found in the usual places like the back of the key card pack or the TV etc. We weren't asked on checkout how our stay was, just took our room number and said that's OK have a good day bye, seemed a little hurried even though there was nobody waiting behind us. Overall nice stay, top quality food and service downstairs but slightly better attention to detail in servicing rooms/ housekeeping and notice of possible works going on needed.

The hotel was expensive for the night as there was no breakfast included. I also then had to pay for parking, which should be included as it was expensive to stay with no breakfast included. Staff had assigned a parking space for me, and on my return from a family funeral, my space was gone. I parked in another space and when I informed the staff they asked me to move my car to another space. I declined. I had paid for my space, and it was gone on my return. Staff seemed to know nothing of what was going on in parking spaces. Disappointing experience. I would always stay at the commodore but will probably seek somewhere else going forward.

Overall, it was fine. I had planned to stay in another much fancier hotel nearby, but ended up staying here as I had an issue with my credit card. Hotel is clean, safe, and quiet. Located very close to the centre of the city. Our room had a view of the river. If you try and check in before 15:00, then you need to pay €15 extra. This is absolutely insane. This also led to a huge queue of people waiting to check in, so we had to wait from 14:40 to 15:15 before checking in. No bottled water provided in the room, but don't worry because you can buy it from the vending machine downstairs. Only €3 for 500 ml! 😂 No toothbrushes provided either which is probably a government rule, but come on, they can be recycled. I guarantee you half of the people forget to bring one and go somewhere nearby to buy one anyways. I called reception twice around 09:45 to get new towels and nobody answered. You get what you pay for I guess. It was fine, but I won't stay there again.

Great location to visit the wildlife park but it’s not walkable. Room was lovely. It had everything we needed. Peaceful nights sleep too. You have to pre book the leisure club and children are only allowed at certain times meaning we missed out in the morning as my 13yr old wasn’t allowed in until 9am but we had to leave then. Breakfast: Choice of food was amazing. Absolutely everything on offer. We were a bit rushed because we had the titanic experience booked so had to be punctual. We had to chase up the toast 3 times. It was the only thing my son would eat so couldn’t let it slide. Then it arrived stone cold so they apologised and redid it for him. Overall it was a lovely hotel and included some nice touches like Lily O”Brien chocolates in the room, a coffee maker and free bottle of wine for Deluxe rooms. Turn down service was a welcome surprise too.

The hotel was really lovely, great location and staff. The only problem I could find with the hotel was the breakfast, I had a full irish breakfast every morning at a few different times and it was always too dry. I think the hotel must prepare many, keep them under heat lamps and then just add a freshly cooked egg when they are ordered.

Very good location,near to a few long distance bus lines and also near to the train station. Breakfast with adequate variety. Near to the city centre. I was so lucky given a room with river view which I can see River Lee flowing day and night. The only weak point is water flowing of the sinkhole was slow.

Clean ,comfortable, enjoyable !! I will stay again and the hotel is clean , the bed is very comfortable , the room is quite big. The breakfast is very great and they provide good service when ur drink and food are cold, the waitress is very kind and care you a lot, she reminded I get the hotter food and refill the hotter coffee for me !!

Absolutely beautiful hotel Sharon the hostess is Absolutely amazing she's very efficient so is thr other lady but I don't know her ne nothing is to much trouble for these ladies they work so hard the other lady is around Sharon's age and her and Sharon are always running around working and asking if everything is okay they are a credit to your hotel and thank you to all the people who work behind the scenes the chef and the domestics making sure everything is clean and tidy all these people are the backbone of the hotel

The hotel's location is great, and parking is convenient. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room size and bathroom were adequate. However, I was disappointed that my room faced an air shaft and was very close to a neighboring room, so I had to keep the curtains drawn with absolutely no view. I also think it would be better if the hotel's pool and gym hours were extended to 9 AM to 9 PM in the summer, so guests could still use them after dinner. On the bright side, the bus stop is right nearby, making it easy to get to other attractions, and there are plenty of shopping and dining options. I had a pleasant stay here for a few days and would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Cork.

The hotel was okay overall, but there were a few things that could definitely be better. Water bottles weren’t given every day—you only get them if you ask, which felt a bit inconvenient. It’s something you expect to be taken care of without having to remind them. The internet in the room was quite slow. It worked, but not great—good enough for checking messages, but not reliable if you need to do work or stream anything. On the bright side, the lobby looked really nice—clean, modern, and a good place to sit and relax for a bit. In short, it’s not a bad place, but a few small improvements could make the stay much more comfortable. Swimming pool service was good.
