First off, the hotel is incredibly close to the scenic area, less than 1 kilometer in a straight line, making it super convenient whether you're walking or driving. As for the hotel itself, we traveled with our child, and this place is absolutely perfect for families. There's a huge outdoor lawn with a non-motorized playground and a sandpit. Next to it, there's a row of small cabins housing animals like alpacas and deer, which are fantastic for kids to enjoy. I also really liked the hotel's design – it's upscale and elegant. The front desk was efficient during check-in and even assigned us a room on the top floor facing the lawn, offering a truly excellent view!

The hotel staff has a friendly service attitude. The staff at the front desk, lobby, and catering are warm and polite, and the service is thoughtful. The hotel has convenient transportation and is close to Shuicheng Ancient Town and Fengchi Garden, making it very convenient for leisure walks and exploring special restaurants. The overall hardware of the hotel is of five-star standard. It was my first time staying here, and the hotel upgraded me to an executive room, which was very thoughtful! The weather was very good this morning. I woke up early and watched the sunrise in the room. I was very satisfied! grateful! I will stay here again next time I go to Liupanshui.

The room was spacious and bright, and the bedding was clean, meeting 5-star hotel standards. The Chinese and Western breakfast selection was very rich, and my whole family was very satisfied. The hotel's front desk service was quick, and they even offered an extra breakfast for our family of three, which was a thoughtful touch. It's within walking distance of Guiyang Railway Station. Since we were traveling to surrounding cities, we stayed at the Pullman three times during the Chinese New Year holiday. It's definitely our top choice for hotels when visiting Guiyang.

True to its reputation as a national treasure! Even before arriving, service manager Xiao Yuan proactively reached out to arrange our room and sent us a travel guide. The hotel's breakfast selection and quality far exceeded our expectations. We even got to try the complimentary Maotai ice cream, which thrilled the kids. Renhuai, the 'Wine Capital of China,' was historically a bustling hub for merchants, and this was our first visit. The hotel's warm service and thoughtful greetings truly showcase the excellence of a top-tier domestic brand in both hardware and software. It's a shame we only stayed one night; next time, we'll definitely extend our stay for a few more days. We'll be back, full of praise for Maotai Hotel and our fondness for酱香 (Jiangxiang) liquor!

Facilities: This is a newly opened hotel, so the decor and amenities are brand new. The design is simple yet grand. Hygiene: Very clean and comfortable. Service: The front desk staff, especially the lady, was beautiful and considerate. She really set a great impression for Guizhou girls, haha. Room Size: The twin room was spacious enough. Location: Right next to the high-speed train station and bus terminal, which is super convenient. It's also easy to get a taxi or Didi to the city center. For us, who were transferring to Huangguoshu Waterfall, it was incredibly convenient. Since it's close to the high-speed train station, it can be a bit noisy, so light sleepers might want to reconsider. My friend and I are sound sleepers, so it didn't bother us. I forgot to take photos, but overall, it was really great.

Having stayed at Sofitel properties in other cities, I must say the Guiyang one truly embodies French elegance. From the thoughtful preparations made by Rabby, our Guest Relations contact, who reached out to us in advance, to Olivia at the front desk offering a welcoming tea [a Guizhou specialty made with Roselle] during check-in – these small details truly stood out. The room's blue and white porcelain decor, combined with the breathtaking panoramic views of Guiyang city from the floor-to-ceiling windows, were stunning. Even at check-out, we received a special Guizhou-style embroidered coaster, which made us feel this hotel genuinely values the details. We will definitely be returning and wish the hotel continued success. See you next time!

The hotel's location is pretty good, and I used points to upgrade my room, which was a nice bonus. However, I have to mention two things that weren't so great. First, the hot water kept fluctuating between scalding hot and freezing cold, making showering an ordeal of endless temperature changes – I couldn't just stand under the water comfortably. Second, when customer service reached out via WeChat, they asked me to include their nickname in my reply. It would be really helpful if they introduced themselves when we first meet, because otherwise, I have no idea which staff member I'm talking to from our previous interactions.

I am a bit bias when it comes to review and critique 5 stars hotel in comparison to others. Having said that let's take a look at this hotel. For a start, and in short, it is a gem! The room is huge, cosy, great location and wonderful view at high floor. I didn't get the name of the receptionist who checked me in. She is so efficient. That was the first give away the standard of this hotel. As i explore the hotel and went to the gym and pool, i was totally floored. This put international hotel fitness center to a shame. The amount of equipments in the gym is unmatched anywhere I stayed. Superb!!! Then i explore the second floor restaurant and order my meal. If you don't eat there you are missing a big hole here. Very delicious. Next i explode and tested the quality at front desk to their limit especially the added value services (Ms Chu, Feng and Zhang). But there is one conceige or bell boy or PR person i wish to acknowledge with exemplary. His name is Mr Wu(?). His knowledge and advice had helped me to plan my stay in Tongren more meaningful. Lucky to bump into him last night around 8pm. I wish to put on record and recognise this young man and thank him. Finally, i couldn't end this review without acknowledging the housekeeping and breakfast restaurant staff for their top notch and tireless services. Watch how they clean the room and the tables and you can tell they had been hone to be the best. Without saying, the Chef De Cuisine Mr Zhang is the best of the very best by international standard. I see him dance at the restaurant like a waltz, smooth as a whiskey too. A sight to be seen how he managed the restaurant. Thank you Head Chef. And so, a 5 star is a disservice to this hotel. The hotel's facilities are good, the location is great, and the breakfast is also good. However, if you ask me if I'd recommend it, I'd hesitate. My biggest issue with the hotel: no air conditioning. The lobby was comfortably air-conditioned at around 20 degrees Celsius, but the room temperature was over 25 degrees. When I asked the hotel to turn on the A/C, they suggested opening a window. This is listed as a five-star hotel on Ctrip, and I'm unsure if not having air conditioning meets national standards for a five-star property. In the restaurant, there were two coffee machines; one couldn't grind coffee, and the other was incredibly slow. It's unbelievable that getting a cup of coffee at a five-star hotel would be such a hassle. Also, in the second-floor restaurant restroom, facilities like the toilet paper dispenser were broken, which is completely inconsistent with a five-star standard. I've never encountered a hotel like this before.

Our stay during this Guizhou trip was absolutely wonderful! The guesthouse's setting was incredible, nestled amidst lush greenery, offering a peaceful and private atmosphere. The rooms were spotless and comfortable. The most delightful surprise was encountering adorable cats and dogs. Both the swimming pool and hot tub had crystal-clear water and excellent designs, making them perfect for a relaxing dip and some fun. The service from the front desk staff was absolutely outstanding. They were incredibly warm and attentive, always ready to assist with any request, and any issues were addressed promptly and efficiently. We truly felt a warm sense of belonging, just like being at home. Highly recommended!
