Hotels near Longfeng Nunnery, Zhangjiajie

The service is good. There are free shuttles to scenic spots. The hotel's breakfast buffet in the morning is delicious and has many varieties. However, the environment and hygiene are not very good. The hotel is on a mountain. When we went up the mountain, we suspected that the navigation was wrong and led us to the wilderness. In terms of hygiene, the tap water is a bit yellowish, even after it has been stored for a long time. There are several chairs in the room, but two of them are moldy. Finally, I will share some pictures of the scenic spots.

Heaven! This hotel is perfection! Nestled in the mountains you can be at one with nature here and relax in the most comfortable surroundings. The hotel is an old village that has transformed into an amazing rustic high end hotel. It is situated very near to the Zhangjiajie scenic park entrances such as Avatar Mountains. The rooms/villas are spacious, clean and have everything you could want. There was a turn down service with snacks provided and they set up the projector ready for when you arrive back from a wonderful day of sightseeing. The warm bath on the balcony really helped to relax us too. The views at this hotel are breathtaking! The most beautiful vistas that you can see from the rooms, balconies and the infinity pool (1 of 2 pools they have there). The restaurant was impressive, all the food is freshly cooked and many of the items are grown at the hotel (see the rice paddies and vegetables growing in the photos). There was a lot of choice of food and the price was very reasonable. The restaurant also has some wine and spirits to enjoy with your meal or to sip on a gin and tonic at the infinity pool just outside to watch the sun set. Breakfast was amazing, again plenty of choice and real coffee too. There is also a bar on site if you wish to sing karaoke with beers and friends once the sun has set. The most outstanding aspect of this hotel for us was the service. Rain, the (reception) manager was incredible, nothing was too much trouble for him. He called us the day before to arrange pick up and he speaks perfect English. Throughout the stay he organised and helped with everything we needed, he really did go above and beyond, thank you so much Rain to you and all of your staff who work so hard. This hotel was definitely great value for the price, the location and aspect of the hotel, also perfect. We cannot wait to come back again, maybe winter next time to see the snowy mountains and to sit by the fires in the rooms. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough, 110%! One of the best hotel I was in China. Clean, spacious with a nice bathroom. Calm (if you except some other clients/guests). Quite well located because you're near the south entrance of the national park (5-10 min. walk). The staff is nice with a smile. There's a restaurant so you can take your breakfast, your lunch and even your dinner there (breakfast was included in the room price but not the other meals). Be aware that the prices on the english menu are a little higher than those written in chinese (not sure if it's the same food by the way). To get there (Luoguta, where the hotel is), you can take a taxi (or a ”grab” taxi) from Zhangjiajiexi (Zhangjiajie West Railway Station) for example (cost 60-80 CNY).Maybe there's also a bus but I'm not sure.

The room is very clean, antique, and elegant with zelkova wood. It is very close to the southeast entrance of the scenic area, really 200 meters. You can park your car at the villa and walk into the scenic area to wander around freely. The owner of the villa enthusiastically helped to plan a one-and-a-half-day tour route, and saw all the main attractions, saving time and effort. I also tasted the farmhouse dishes of the villa. The bacon fried kudzu cake is very special and delicious. Zimu Villa is great!

The breakfast is not good, the noodles and noodles below are not very professional, and the tourists are like chicken blood. They get up early, and only leftovers when they go late. The three-bed room cannot add an extra bed. It’s okay to take the kids, play crazy inside, jumping around between the three beds, it’s fun. The hotel is a 9-minute drive from Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, 15 minutes from Huanglong Cave, 41 minutes from the Grand Canyon, and 40 minutes from Tianmen Mountain Cableway Station. The hotel parking lot is large, enough parking.

This hotel appears to have undergone a major renovation and upgrade recently. The hotel is pleasant and comfy overall, but there are no frills or excesses. We had ordered a Deluxe Queen room and it was spacious and clean. The highlight of the room was a wide panoramic window that offered a wonderful view of the town and the surrounding mountains. We recommend that you opt for this room type, if you can! The staff at the reception were kind and patiently explained everything. They met our every request, but be warned that they speak no English. You would be fine with even basic Chinese, however. There was a relatively broad selection of meal at breakfast. Although the meal at breakfast was entirely Chinese, even European travellers would definitely find something to eat as there was a broad selection of salads available. The breakfast is served on a pleasant covered rooftop terrace. There is plenty of restaurants and shops in the area surrounding the hotel. The hotel is conventiently located a few steps away from the main entrance of the Zhangjiajie national park As far as we could discern, no other hotel is located closer to the main gate. We are European travellers, by the way. Would highly recoomend this hotel to anyone, but you need to have at least basic Chinese language skills! Besides, we found the hotel to be extremely good value!

The room environment is very good. The boss answered questions attentively and was very enthusiastic. He helped to find parking spaces and buy tickets. It was very cheap and discounted. The restaurant recommended was delicious. There was no impatience and no other hidden costs. This trip was very happy. Zhangjiajie is quite fun and worth recommending.

Two friends (including a 77-year-old lady) and I had a great stay at Jiezhi hotel in Zhangjiajie Wulingyuan. The hotel is within easy walk to the East gate of the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. The front desk (particularly a girl) is super helpful in suggesting/discussing plans for our visit to the National park and the nearby attractions. As a result, we were able to maximize the 3 days we have according to the daily weather (Huanglong cave and glass bridge on a drizzle day; Yuanjiajie and Tianzi Mountain for a sunny day; and Golden wing stream valley and Huangshizhai for a light rainy day) and had an awesome time! They are also great to accommodate our 77-year-old friend an extra few hours stay as she was tired and did not join us for the last day in the park. This hotel is also within east walking to the best restaurants in Wulingyuan and we had the best Hunan cuisine/food in our life! We would recommend this hotel highly to anyone that stays at/near Zhanjiajie National Park.

The two men who work at this hotel were really friendly and helpful. The breakfast soup was delicious! A must try. The room was a good size and was comfortable, however it could have done with so thorough cleaning. The pool was a great way to wind down after a long day of walking in the heat!! All in all a lovely stay.

The staff of the hotel were very helpful, the manager organised all park tickets for us (Zhangjiajie National Park, Tianmen mountain), the transportation from Zhangjiajie city to the hotel and in the morning the manager drove us to the park entrance. The hotel is only 2km from the park entrance. In the evening we were walking back. We had nice chats with the staff and were invited to share tea with them. XibuStreet Inn manager has been extremely kind with us. His wife speaks English and we have been using translator app to communicate.
