Tired hotel, with tired rooms that desperately need a make over. Hotel restaurant closed, without warning, which meant a substantial hilly walk back into town every night to eat. I would suggest booking a hotel in Volterra as this hotel does not warrant a 4 star rating.

Understaffed post pandemic, incapable of dealing with full capacity, tired decor and furniture, very poor food, overworked and therefore pretty miserable staff, few redeeming features other than the views

Lovely small hotel in a beautiful location. Large room with sir con. Breakfast and dinner are excellent and my gluten free needs were well catered for. The staff are all lovely and friendly. My only complaint is the height of the bath is very high and as the shower screen us is fixed it is very hard to get in and out.

I'm currently staying at this hotel for a wedding which I'll be attending locally. As a result I requested an iron or if there was a service which the hotel provided. Despite making this request on two occasions and the purpose of requiring an iron, I was advised this was against hotel policy. They didn't provide this service and they could not provide me with one due to irons previously being damaged by customer's. Hotel itself is OK. Dated and requires some attention if I'm being truthful. Parasols are very old and some are damaged, along with many tiles around the pool. However based on my brief experience from a customer service perspective it's very poor. I've travelled around the world and never been denied access to an iron before. This might come across as pedantic, however if a supposed 4* hotel can't provide an iron for someone to attend a wedding for someone traveling from another country then I class this as poor.

My wife and I returned to this hotel for the 2nd time. This Hotel is one of the very best , beautiful views but the owners and staff make you feel part of the family and they could not do more for you. Highly recommend this Amazing hotel.

EXTREMELY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!!!! We arrived at Park Hotel le Fonti and were given our room on arrival as part of our holiday tour group. Unfortunately there was a catalogue of problems with our room as below: 1. The shower was blocked and the water built up in the shower tray throughout the shower. 2. The room was next to the lift so the noise of the lift could be clearly heard through the wall. 3. We were also next to the stair well so the noise of people talking and stepping could also be heard through the wall. 4. There was some kind of sensor directly above the bed with 2 red lights that flashed continuously and illuminating the room through the night. 5. The room was opposite the cleaner’s cupboard and the cleaner started work first thing in the morning, banging things around and tapping. 6. The curtains did not cover the window properly and so the light could not be blocked out. There was an outdoor light shining in through the night. 7. There were some kind of pumps/ air con station close to the window and the noise could be heard within the room. All of these points above are all on top of the fact that the room was incredibly shabby and out dated, well in need of a complete renovation. We simply requested to move rooms on the day we arrived but were told that a decision could not be made on this until the receptionist had spoken to the boss (this was about 7pm). We waited and waited and eventually the receptionist spoke with the boss over the phone (this was about 10pm) but was told we couldn’t move rooms because there were none available. However, we knew there were over 30 empty rooms, at the same rate, waiting for the next tour groups to arrive the following day. We were unable to sleep due to the problems listed above. The next day we managed to speak with the boss ourselves and were told that we could move to a different room at an extra 40 euros per night. We were extremely disappointed and upset with the way we were treated considering there were over 30 empty rooms at the same rate. The level of inflexibility and intransigence displayed by the boss was astounding. They should have said, we are really sorry our room was not up to standard and as a result we are going to move you to a different room without asking for any extra charge as they were clearly at fault. By the way, we are talking about a 4 star hotel, which makes matters worst. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!

The hotel is situated in a wonderful location with picturesque view’s across the Tuscan country side . The town above the hotel , Volterra is beautiful and commands 360 deg views across the neighbouring country side. The hotel itself was somewhat of a disappoin**ent . It looks if the pandemic has had an effect. The decor both inside and out is in need of re-decoration and extensive maintenance needs to be carried out to the fabric of the building ,grounds and pool areas. Bedrooms are shabby and dated and our bathroom was very disappointing, with poorly located taps (forsets) and shower fittings . Breakfasts were excellent ,however the same cannot be said of the evening offer . All in all this could be a magnificent venue but the hotel needs a complete and utter refurbishment.

This hotel has a lovely pool with glorious views of the valley below it has an excellent chef the evening dinner we had was first class however it is sadly lacking in many ways Let down by staff who were jittering all round the three tables for dinner. They have a lovely terrace and when we had tea in the morning the cups etc remained all day. That sloppy attitude was all round. Although its location enables lovely views the hotel is badly situated in a quiet old and neglected area It takes 20 mins hard walking up up and up to get into town. There is ample parking here which is free The rooms are tired as is the linens Reception has furniture which is unnecessary and large plants everywhere.

Had this hotel booked to attend a wedding during covid. But obviously had to cancel. They refused a refund but offered a voucher for a future stay. They then shut down for 6 months. Since then there has been no offer of a redeeming voucher and customer services will not even answer our emails! Sharon O'Brien
