"We stayed at this beautiful resort in Tuscany, conveniently located near San Gimignano and Volterra, and it was truly top notch in every way. From the moment we arrived and were greeted with a drink, we felt completely taken care of. The setting was incredibly serene, surrounded by classic Tuscan scenery, and every detail across the property felt thoughtfully considered. Everything was impeccably maintained, creating such a relaxing and elevated atmosphere. What really made the experience stand out was the staff, who consistently went above and beyond to make our stay special. It was the kind of place where everything felt effortless and taken care of. We left already talking about when we can come back. It was such a special place."

"Central walk everywhere. Great breakfast, elevator, windows that open, and a very nice large bathroom. Desk to work at. Very helpful reception staff. Super duper clean, and a pleasure to stay. You will get a great nights sleep. Enjoy this hotel."

"Really enjoyed my stay. My room was very comfortable - The location is close to the old town. The service from the owner was great and the pool better than the photos. Good breakfast too There are a number of pleasant communal spaces inside and out with great views and a nice vibe overall I don’t understand some of the lower ratings. Would definitely recommend"

"Traditional hotel in a former monastery. Friendly staff that speaks several languages. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, although a bit outdated. In house restaurant is a good alternative for dinner, but the breakfast is disappointing. Be aware of the location as it is a little removed from the city center."

"Great location near shopping, restaurants, the Etruscan Arch, and the La Dogana parking garage. Attractively decorated. The room was comfortable and well laid out…we even had our own sort of "movie theater" due to the TV placement. The bed was comfortable, the area was quiet at night, and the shower was a nice size. The breakfast buffet offered many choices and they had thought of everything travelers might want (for example, both salted and unsalted butter; still and sparkling water; etc.) The only downside was that some rooms are halfway between the main floors (hard to explain) and require taking extra stairs. If you have trouble with stairs, try to avoid those rooms."

"Overpriced for what it is. Stayed in far better places for far less in our two trips to the region. A little more care and pride in what is a lovely location would revolutionize this place. Unfortunately our complaints seem common reading through recent reviews. Pros: View is lovely, food is reasonable, restaurant staff are friendly and helpful. Cons: Attitude of front of house team is edging on rude. Not proactive in sorting problems and no recompense for issues at all. Issues raised were brushed off and not taken seriously. Room not ready till nearly 1.5hours after advertised check in time, seemed to be a common issue for people turning up and having to wait. Air con not working initially, was fixed but very old, noisy and of poor quality. Communication about above issue was terrible, left us nearly leaving. Bathroom very dated, advertised fancy shower was totally broken leaving a tiny space in a generally dirty shower. Pool area not looked after well at all. Superior room with 'terrace': tiny area of two chairs and a fence tucked behind room with no view, next to neighbours and in full view of restaurant. Total misadvertising."
