The property is located in a central position and connected by public transport. We blocked an advantageous offer, including breakfast which was à la carte: four menus to choose from, not particularly accurate for a 4-star structure. Any additional request, for example for a second coffee, had to be paid for (in cash, because the bar didn't take credit cards). The reception asked us to check in immediately upon arrival, a total of 180 euros for three nights, giving us an upgrade to a room with a terrace and a view (precisely on a road where cars and buildings were passing by), offering us a discount of 20 euros on the price if instead of paying by card we had paid in cash. To be safe, we paid by card and among other things we didn't have any receipt. When we got to the room we opened the bed and there was some hair and stains, the same thing on the towels, some of which we had changed while the others we took up the lift ourselves if necessary. They say that without realizing it we pressed the "do not disturb" button so on the second day of our stay we did not find the room clean and tidy... honestly we didn't think we had this oversight at all... we would have heard the sound of the button or saw the little red light too... but nothing. That's it, no cleaning. At the bar we had to adapt a little to the lack of availability of the staff and their slowness and lack of hospitality; Personally, breakfast is one of the most important and beautiful moments of stays in the places I go to visit and instead here I was a little annoyed and I didn't like this at all. Until around 11.30pm when the traffic is intense, noise can be heard from the room and it is difficult to fall asleep; I had to use earplugs. On the day of departure we asked to keep our backpacks which we would pick up in the evening, when we returned we went into reception, where there was no one and luckily our backpacks were still there, but anyone could have taken them! In short... from this trip we will remember a lot about the city, the people we met, the delicious food, a chapter of history, or maybe two or three that we weren't aware of and which made us enter a little more into the character of the place and its inhabitants, many of whom are our friends here in Italy... but the hotel experience will not remain in our hearts. We don't recommend it!
