Hotel opened ~12mo ago, entire building is new. Whatever growing pains it had, the Le Meridien Taichung has figured most of them out. This brand can be hit/miss depending on city, but the Le Meridien Taichung is a great property. Well-appointed rooms are huge (60 sq m+), even the walk-in shower is huge. Lots of electrical outlets/USB for charging devices. Wi-Fi access points work everywhere in the building. Great views of the Central/East Districts and Main Station, especially at night. Amazing price point for this level of hotel quality. Service is where Le Meridien Taichung shines. Exec Lounge team so helpful, special thanks to Angel, Lisa, Irin, Yang. Concierge helped us with check-in and restaurants (Billy, Wilber, Debbie). And Marriott app chat with Front Desk works great, responded within minutes. Parking in the underground garage (elevators run directly to room floors with your key) with in/out privileges is free for guests. Front Desk will add your license plate number, cameras at gates will read it. Oddly, the Marriott app shows daily fee TWD 2400 which is almost half the daily rate. (Obviously still ironing out some stuff.)

A city hotel with a children's playground and rich brunch. Staying in a superior triple room with no window or bathtub on weekdays in November 2023. The room is novel, stylish and clean. The lobby is spacious, the staff at the counter explained in detail, and their attitude was great, which is worthy of praise. The ice-warm water dispenser is in a small room next to the lobby on the first floor. Breakfast is Phoenix Food Hall brunch, a multi-national buffet buffet. It is served from 7 am to 1 noon. The meal time is two hours. The dishes are diverse and there are six kinds of fruits. Unfortunately, the quality of the fruits is not very good. The specialty is Starbucks Coffee and Haagen-Dazs ice cream. The parking lot is located in the basement of the hotel building from B2 to B5. The entrance and exit are on Yanagawa East Road. There are many parking spaces, but the parking lot is not dedicated. When the occupancy rate is high, it may be full and there will be no parking spaces. Tenants can park for free for 24 hours. There is a dedicated elevator in the parking lot directly to the hotel. hall.

Stayed here 2 nights. It is a nice, modern, clean hostel with air conditioning, a modest kitchen and great location next to the train station. You can hear street traffic in the rooms but it’s not excessive. The hostel was very quiet due to the COVID-19 travel restrictions but staff was very helpful, attentive and spoke good English. Bathrooms have plenty of toilets and showers and space for drying your hair or applying make up. Breakfast is plentiful and nicely prepared. Good option to start the day. Walk to the Sun Moon Lake bus stop is 5-8 minutes just north of the hostel (staff can point you in that direction too). Washer and dryer are also available to guests and about 50 NTD each. Cheap! Hostel also has a small grocery store with dried foods and a fridge to store things if needed. Towels are not included which is a little bit of a bummer but not a deal breaker. My only two items as an FYI: your keycard has to be used in the bed for the power outlet which is problematic when you need to charge something and be in the restroom. And, the machine used to clean and purify the air in the rooms leaves a bad weird smell. It can alleviate a bit but not much. If you’re overly sensitive this will be a problem. I would still recommend this hostel and would stay again.

Booked this hotel as it has indoor playground facility but only the big slide for the bigger toddler was interesting while the play area for the younger ones was placed at the laundry area which felt warm and dated. The rooms are not exactly soundproof as we can hear doors opening and shutting. Breakfast was pretty disappointing, other than for the fact that it has plain porridge which we manage to feed my babies. But the complimentary minibar was generous with coke and isotonic drink. Lobby staff were friendly and helpful though, while the breakfast chef/staff looked unhappy throughout our stay.

She continued rudely said that they have n I need to check out at 11am and checkin again at 3pm. this type of receptionist has no people service attitude. She not suitable to be a receptionist. The room without window is clean but quite smelly, not sure what smell is that. First time encounter something like this. Even when stayed in 2 different hotels without window back in Taipei the room was fine.

I booked a double room and room size was big enough and cosy. No bottles of drink water in room but can get warm/cold water from dispense at common area. Breakfast, don't expect to get many varieties, but enough to fill your stomach. Although it said bf starts at 7am, when I was there at that time, staff still preparing. Location is just a short walk to fourth credit union, also 10mins to train station.

It's about a 5 minute walk from the station, and opposite Miyahara Ice Cream. Good location with good facilities like a gym and laundry within the hotel. Room is sizeable and good, but some improvements could still be done for the hotel such as better charging ports (the ones beside bed are fixed to a certain USB type) as well as a cabinet to hang clothing and towels. Overall, highly recommended if you are looking for a stay in Taichung.
