l love it. the location is so convince. it's located right near the train station and there's a bus stop right on front of the hotel. the room was a but small but will fit a family traveller. i didn't open the window a lot but the view of the station was beautiful.
the only downside is that around the hotel there's a lot of food to my taste and restaurant around are not local so we had to go across the station or walk abit far to find food.

This time I traveled to Taiwan, I booked a super good hotel! It is located near Gancheng Station, and it is very convenient to take the Taiwan Express to Cingjing Farm and Sun Moon Lake! It is also close to Taichung Station and Yizhong Street Business District, which is very convenient for everything. The room is also super clean and the decoration style is very beautiful! There is a washing machine and dryer on the eighth floor, and the washing machine is free, which is really great! I highly recommend everyone to book here when traveling to Taichung~

Palmer hotel's location is very central, near taroko mall, Taichung park, Taichung train station and miyahahara ice cream shop. Palmer hotel offers buffet breakfast and also has a self laundry - coin operated same floor with the buffet. Room is big, 2 elevators working and quick checkin and check-out process. Thank you for the good service.

Room was clean and good for solo traveller. The common areas were also pretty nice to relax. Also just walking distance to Taichung railway station (and bus stops which will take you all over Taichung) so it is good. Have to tap in using the card given to you to access your own floor, so feel safe as well. I love the rooftop area where I can just drink and wind down after a hard day travelling. Only complaint is the air con in the room doesn't seem to be working so well, so it might feel quite warm (I travelled in the summer). Also the blinds are not good enough to block out all the light coming from outside, so be mindful of that. Otherwise, a pretty good stay for a short trip in Taichung, and even with quite a few homeless people outside around the area, still felt pretty safe even at night

Great hotel for families. The staff were great and breakfast was very comprehensive. Large rooms and there was a large play area on one of the floors which was beside the gym and laundromat. The service staff were so nice to help us with the laundry machines.

The hotel is located near city centre and close to train, bus station. From the hotel room you can see the train station. Behind the hotel is a shopping mall and plenty of food hall and restaurants. But no laundry at the hotel and there is a street laundry about 400 m away. The bathroom orientation is a bit awkward.

GGuest UserLocation is NOT THE BEST. It is a walk from Taichung train station. During the night, nearby stalls are closed by roughly 8pm. there is a night market nearby but need to walk for awhile. However, the hotel itself is amazing. The contrast between the facade of the building and the rooms itself is astonishing. The room is cozy (it is small but sufficient) and the toilet is clean. the ”smart” toilet bowl is amazing. the staff are very nice and patient. Went slightly early with the intention to stash our luggages but they told us that our rooms were ready. once in, didnt want to go out anymore. The cocktails were amazing as well. it is not super ex so it is super worth. i will definitely go back again, and perhaps get a bigger room.

GGuest UserIt’s such good value considering what we paid. It’s 5 min from the train station and opposite the famous miyahara shop. Right next door is family mart and left next door is a nice fried chicken place too. What’s more, there’s a dining area where we can eat our food from the night market. It’s fantastic! I would definitely stay there again!

VVini PoohThe decoration of the inn is quite beautiful, the room I think except the sound insulation is poor how can always hear the sound of cars outside the road outside I think it is okay, the inn also pays earplugs for everyone quite courteous.
The tea room on the 8th floor is also beautifully done and has many sockets. People who want to use a table should be able to handle things here. There is a comfortable-looking game area (?) next to it. There are also some board games in the bookcase (although they look old), and the biscuits for entertaining are also placed here for guests to take, which is quite good. The refrigerator is quite big. It's shared. Just write a note. To watch the TV, you have to get the remote control from the counter😂. The sofa in the guest room is very comfortable, if it were placed in my house I would probably waste there often. There are also coin-operated laundries in the inn for those who need them.

However they said you couldn’t extend the time and we checked out 20 mins later and still charged the extra $200. We would’ve been fine to pay the extra $200 if we’re allowed to stay til noon but that was not communicated to us so it left a sour note to the stay.

GGuest User1. The sound insulation is very poor. You can clearly hear people talking in the corridor outside, so people outside the room can also hear people talking in the room. People in other rooms can also hear the sound of bathing water. This is true. There is no way to accept it!
2. I feel that the bathroom and toilet do not need to be so big. They are compressed into the space of the entire room (bathroom: room = 1:1), so there is not enough space for luggage and items. Although the bathroom and toilet seem to have dry and wet separation, there is no Doors or curtains can be used to separate the area, causing the water from the shower head to splash onto the floor in the toilet and sink area. I hope this can be improved, otherwise the entire floor will be wet and there is a risk of slipping. But having a flush toilet is a plus.
3. Although there are windows in the room and toilet, the windows open into a super narrow fire lane with scaffolding (maybe the building next door is under construction?), resulting in no natural lighting in the room. It is a pity. I saw it on the website when booking a room. The difference is that the photos you see on the website when booking a room all have good natural lighting, so there is inevitably a psychological gap, because I prefer rooms with natural lighting, and I hope there can be written notes on the booking website. This will prevent people who like natural lighting from living in a room they don’t like.
4. There are only four parking spaces, and there is no free parking service, which is also a pity.
5. The advantage is that it has a good location. It takes 10 minutes to walk to Yizhong Business District and 5 minutes to reach the Second Market and Taichung Park.
