Slavija Culture Heritage Hotel
4.4/576 Reviews
The hotel is in an incredible location, at an incredible price. The room and building were very clean with great facilities, though some of the room furniture, like the desk chair, could use a bit of a refurbishment. This however for most travelers will be no issue as you will want to be out and about exploring the city and using the room as just a home base. I will absolutely come and stay again, and thoroughly enjoyed my time in Split and my stay at Slavija. It can be a bit hard to find to those new to the winding streets, but the location is perfect for an unforgettable trip. Thanks to the staff at the Slavija for an incredible stay!
Banica Apartments & Rooms
4.7/520 Reviews
The location is excellent, just in the center of the old city, the balcony of our book can look at the tower of the Diocletian's Palace, and drink something on the balcony, it feels great. The landlord is also very good, will guide you where to park, and will help you with your luggage. If you park directly in the parking lot outside the ancient city, do not cap, the parking fee is quite high! There is also a roof-top garden with a sofa to rest, a kitchen with free milk, coffee, and cereal.
Vila Angela
4.3/510 Reviews
The owners were very rude. I was going to give a good review, even though we had some problems at first (breakfast was very poor, the toilet seat would not stay in position, inside the shower was the water heater, there was no one at the reception desk, only early in the morning and many many more). The worst thing happened as we were leaving. We weren't told that we had to pay in cash and we didn't have any. For 1 hour and a half my husband wondered around looking for an ATM machine to get cash. I told them to charge my credit card through the website and the refused and the lady told me (with the few English words that she knew) that it was my problem, not hers. They even refused that if we canceled the reservation, they would charge my credit card, even after I showed them the website that said it clearly. They simply didn't want to help us at all. They just sat there, staring at us, waiting for us to come up with a solution. Eventually we did, but we should we? It was the day that we were leaving Croatia, we had a very long day ahead of us, why should we exhaust ourselves over someone who does not care about their customers? I repeat, my husband was wondering around for 1 and a half hour guys. They could have told us earlier but they didn't. They responded to my comment that they threatened us to call the police because we didn't want to pay. That's a big fat lie. I was talking to the owner's son because she doesn't speak English. I don't know if he never translated that, but we were never threatened, simply because we wanted to pay. Even if we left without paying, they could charge my credit card. We wanted to pay, but they should have told us that we had to pay in cash at least a day earlier. But how would they do that, since NOBODY was working? NOBODY was at the reception. Way too expensive accommodation for what they are offering and very rude owners.
House Sandra
4.6/595 Reviews
We only stayed at House Sandra for one night but really enjoyed our stay. The location is perfect. It’s a 10 minute walk to the old town / tourist area - far enough away to be out of the noise of the town but easily close enough to walk in and out. There is a supermarket less than a 5 minute walk and a nice pizza restaurant just 2 minutes walk away. The room we had was on the top floor. (A bit tricky taking a large, heavy suitcase up the stairs to the entrance hall and again to the main room - but you only have to do it once). The room was really spacious with a fridge, coffee machine, and some plates and cutlery. It had good air conditioning and the TV had Netflix and Amazon Prime installed (although you need your own account details). There was also a large sofa which could easily sleep another person. The bathroom was also a good size - it had a shower but no bath. Everything was spotless. I can’t think of anything bad / negative to say about House Sandra.
Villa Spalatina
3.7/522 Reviews
At first glance, it may be difficult to find because it looks like an ordinary house. When you contact the hotel receptionist, you will reply as soon as you contact him by email. And the facilities and amenities were very substantial. In addition to the TV, there was a refrigerator, air conditioner, bath towels, and shampoo, so I was able to spend a very comfortable time. It was very good from transportation because there is a hotel within walking distance from the tourist spots in the city. I want to stay for a long time next time.
Hostel Spinut
3.5/57 Reviews
The hostel is located in the Spinut district, close to a large marina and on the edge of a park. Standard rooms for a hostel, two comfortable beds, clean bedding, nice furniture, balcony, medium-sized bathroom, two towels, soaps - changed twice in 5 days, room cleaned twice. In the lobby there is a vending machine with drinks, snacks and coffee. The hostel needs renovation. We had breakfast bought, issued in the form of a buffet, which was completely sufficient. Upstairs there was a kitchenette with a fridge. At the hostel there is a bus terminus of several lines, which can take you to the center and the port. In the park there is a bicycle and walking path as well as places for swimming and sunbathing.
