The historic and artistic Tokyo Station Hotel is one of my favorite hotels and has a great location with direct access from the airport and other cities. The staff is friendly and outstanding. I encountered some problems with my booking and the reception staff was very helpful and solved it quickly and efficiently, I was completely impressed by their professionalism and customer service. Breakfast was superb and the restaurant staff greet the guests with a smile and always be courteous. I stayed for 12 days and feel like home.

Bulgari Tokyo and Aman Tokyo jointly hold up the ceiling of Tokyo Hotel. The hotel service staff, from the doorman to the front desk including the manager, everyone greeted me warmly and called my name when they saw me, which surprised me. The room service was also very good. If you need anything, it will be delivered to the room within ten minutes. There was a problem with the TV, and the room manager brought people to help me solve the problem carefully. Everyone was very polite and enthusiastic, not to mention the swimming pool and gym, which are extremely luxurious. The room faces the Imperial Palace, Tokyo Station and Tokyo's steel forest. The scenery is unique. It is the most worthwhile hotel to experience in Tokyo!

My daughter and I enjoyed staying at Oakwood Premier Tokyo. Location, Service and cleanliness was spot on!!! The only thing we could fault on was that the water pressure for the rain shower was not strong enough. Otherwise, the hotel met all our requirements. Thank you team for a wonderful stay.

I called many times to confirm the room before check-in, and I still couldn't connect all the rooms on the day of check-in. Let the guests wait at the front desk for nearly 30 minutes. Before arriving at the hotel, I called the front desk. I had a lot of luggage, and I hoped to welcome them. When I got off at the hotel gate, I waited for 10 minutes and no one greeted me. I went to the lobby and pushed the trolley with the waitress at the front desk to pick up my luggage. The white uniforms passing by The older Japanese bellman turned a blind eye and had a bad attitude. Without confirming the luggage, he put all the staff's luggage in the boss's room without authorization. No apology after taking out the luggage. The room faces the train track, and you will hear the sound of the train, which will affect your rest. An impressive experience.

Good location, nearby commercial and biz buildings, Tokyo station (which is accessible to multiple JR and metro lines) and Kobayashi Station (Ginza Line). There are a number of good food outlets nearby, worth to walk around. Hotel Amenities are good except the room pillow (very grainy and hard). One pax only can select 1 pillow from their pillow selection near the reception, but not the regular “western” fluffy hotel pillow. Free drink and cocktail at lobby in the evening. Public bath available too! Coin Laundry available at 300yen and dryer is for free. They do segregate ladies and men level for public amenities. Thumbs up! But a guy came down to the ladies level to use the dryer (all the ladies were staring down at him, but he seems oblivious or pretend not to care). It was raining during the period of my stay. The reception was able to loan out umbrella! Great service! Room was small but sufficient for 1 pax. It’s Japan, I adapt. All in all, great place to stay in. Will definitely be back in the future!

Hotel is close to Tokyo station, just opp from the JR entrance. If you wish to walk from underground street, come up from exit 21 via stairs. Overall very nice experience at the hotel, room size is consider big, as we are able to open 2 big luggages side by side & there is still sufficient walking space. There is a welcome drink & some foot patch & kose skincare samples. Room is very sound proof, unable to hear the music played at the corridor. The hotel is not far from the station and has convenient living functions. This is worth recommending. There was a problem with the Wi-Fi connection in the room when checking in, which was the only drawback. In addition, the breakfast at your own expense is delicious, and the restaurant should be a restaurant related to the hotel.

Room has 4 beds, it suited for us, but too squeezy for us family of 4 with big kids (10 and 13 yo). The shower vs toilet were separated. No wardrobe, only hangers and limited place to hang the clothes. The shower area was squeezy for us too and no space to hang 4 towels, rubbish bin was super tiny too. They omly make up bed, change towel and throw trash daily, if need to clean room/toilet/change bed sheets must call them before 9am. Brrakfast space was super limited, can only accomodate like 25 pax, they offer optional replacement of 500yen breakfast voucher that can be used in daimaru etc. Washing machine is combination for wash and dry and there were too many ppl using it,even need to q. And after setting to dry for 1 hr, all my clothes were still not dry. Overall i feel not worth the money i paid around sgd 600 per night! The only good thing is only location, near tokyo station.

The hotel location is very convenient and there are many good restaurants nearby.  We suffered from serious flight delay when arriving but the hotel reception was very helpful and replied us by email that we could check-in even after midnight.  They provided ucc drip coffee and other amenities like tooth brushes, bath towel, cotton sticks, etc.  and there are 7-11, family mart, Lawson, etc nearby.  It’s in a walking distance to Japan Bridge so we can walk to the department stores there.  Overall speaking, it’s a very convenient and tidy hotel with helpful and polite staff, all speaking fluent English.

It only takes 10 minutes from the B&B to Shinjuku in Wang District, which is a good choice! Our family of 5 people (2 large and 3 small), the room was very clean, as the photo introduced on Trip.com; There is a large room with 2 double beds and the other room with a double bed, which is just enough to sleep in the larger room than 3 children. The homestay provides toothbrushes, shaving cream, shower gel, shampoo, moisturizer and basic tea bags and coffee. And the same good thing is that he can cook there, and I will book this one next time! Also make a Shabu Shabu!

Great location, great hotel, and wonderful service! Family of four, we booked a double and it was a nice room with two double beds. Although a bit small, it was fine for us and we were happy to have a microwave, etc that made it feel homey. The hotel was quiet, the a/c good, and the water pressure strong. The location is perfect, just a few minutes away from the Hachioji Eki and all the various conveniences there. Staff was very nice, check-in was smooth and quick, and check-out was as simple as dropping off our card key. We mistakenly left a pair of pajamas in the room and the wonderful staff was able to locate it and send it to us, already in another prefecture, the next day. Thank you so much!! This kindness will not be forgotten and we would love to return to this hotel the next time we visit the area.

First so travel experience, and this was honestly quite good. The bathrooms were clean (aside from some hair here and there, but it’s a women’s hostel what do you expect) and cleaned daily, and the Wi-Fi was very fast. Got super dark in each pod which was perfect, and even in the summer, it wasn’t too hot (despite it saying there’s no AC there are some small units that keep the area a good temperature). I wish check in hours were a little more flexible especially considering that there’s no staff there anyway? But overall really good (close to many subway lines) and I would stay again for sure!!

I ain't sure why a lot of people left a very bad comment regarding this property, the room size is quite big compared with JP standard (we got room at 6 floor with 2 beds (5ft size) for 2 person) the location is good (a walking distance to Kuramae station 200-350m (for Toei Asakura & Oedo line), surrounded with good restaurants such as Ramen, Tonkatsu (authentic one open since 1977), origin Japan (ready to eat JP meals & side dishes), etc. including a good Patisserie shops, a convenience stores (Lawson, Family mart, 7-11, local supermarket). Yes they have a rule regarding towels (1/ea/2 nights) & cleaning services (not on daily basis but if you want you can ask them to do), the guy at the receptionist may not always smile but if you asked something he's always respond & support, they have a common area (2nd floor) which there is kitchen, kitchen utensils, microwave, coffee machine, dining table, couches and air conditioning (and they are allowed us to use with free of charge) personally my friend & I would booked this hotel if we visit Tokyo next time.

The room is quite big, and the sofa bed can accommodate four people. It is suitable for a family of three to travel here, because many hotels in Japan have a limit on the number of people, and three people have to book two rooms. It is more suitable to book this apartment. It is not far from the subway station Kuramae Station and Asakusa Station. It is right by the Sumida River. It is very convenient to see the night view of the Sky Tree and go to Sensoji Temple. There are not many restaurants around, but the subway can reach many business districts, which is not a big flaw. The noise is not loud, and it is quiet to stay!

It was good that rich, convenience stores and McDonald's from the station were nearby, but the unit bus was too narrow. The door didn't close tightly, so the air conditioner came in, and the shower curtain caught on my body while taking a bath, which made me feel uncomfortable. If you are a tall person, you can't take a shower unless you bow. The toilet was impossible unless I opened the door. I'm sorry that the customer service was good.

Access to the hotel is convenient as it is close to the nearest station. There is a laundry next to the entrance on the first floor. I booked a mixed dormitory, and the bed was on a bunk. It didn't feel wobbly and I didn't hear any noise from each other every time I turned over. Since it's a dormitory, I was concerned about the sounds of people touching my luggage until late at night...but I think it's a matter of manners. The kitchen in the shared space is also clean and there are free tea bags and instant coffee☕️. You can also boil water for cooking yourself. The shower and makeup room are separate and easy to use. If you have experience in overseas youth hostels, you will find that there are separate hostels for men and women, but if you don't mind the comfortable and low prices, the prices are attractive.

Overall it was a very satisfying stay! I would highly recommend it if you want to reduce travel expenses but don't want to give up cleanliness and convenience and don't bother using shared showers and toilets~ Rooms, shared showers and toilets are all clean and friendly staff. In the case of a double room, the washbasin was attached to the room and the towel was changed every day when requested. After leaving the room, you can leave the suitcase, and you can rent fixtures such as adapters and humidifiers. There are convenience stores such as Lawson and 7-Eleven nearby, so it's good to buy snacks on the earshot. The downside is that there are not many late bars nearby.

Dormy Inn Ueno Tokyo – A Small but Well-Equipped Stay During my recent stay at Dormy Inn Ueno Tokyo, I found it to be a compact yet highly convenient hotel, especially for travelers who prioritize location and practical amenities over excessive space. It’s not a luxury hotel, but it does a great job of providing a comfortable stay with thoughtful touches. Location – Perfect for Travelers One of the best things about this hotel is its location. Just a short walk from Ueno Station, it offers easy access to the JR Yamanote Line, the Keisei Skyliner (for Narita Airport), and multiple metro lines, making it an excellent choice for those who plan to explore different parts of Tokyo. Additionally, the Ameya-Yokocho (Ameyoko) Market is just around the corner, where you’ll find everything from fresh seafood and street food to clothing and souvenirs. It’s a lively area that adds to the appeal of staying in Ueno. Room & Facilities – Compact but Functional As expected, the rooms are small, which is pretty standard in Tokyo, but they are well-designed with everything you need. The bed was comfortable, and the room included basic amenities like a TV, a small desk, and a fridge. Storage space is limited, but for a short stay, it was manageable. The bathroom was also compact, though the onsen (public bath) on-site makes up for it. Onsen – A Small but Relaxing Bath One of the highlights of staying at Dormy Inn hotels is their public bath (onsen), and this location has one, albeit on the smaller side. It’s not the biggest or most luxurious onsen, but it’s a nice way to unwind after a long day of walking around Tokyo. The water temperature was just right, and while the space was limited, it wasn’t overly crowded when I visited. Freebies & Unique Perks Dormy Inn is known for offering small but unique perks to its guests. This location provides free popsicles and yogurt drinks, which is a nice touch. However, they are only available during specific hours, so if you’re out sightseeing all day, you might miss out on them. They also supposedly offer free late-night soba, a Dormy Inn signature, but I never actually saw it happen and didn’t feel like asking about it. Maybe I just missed the time window. Free manga reading Housekeeping – No Room Cleaning, Just Fresh Towels One thing to note is that Dormy Inn follows a no-daily-cleaning policy. Instead of a full room service, they simply drop off fresh towels outside your door. This is fine if you’re staying just a few days, but if you prefer daily room cleaning, you might find it lacking. Staff & Service The staff at check-in were friendly and efficient, which I appreciated. They handled everything quickly and provided all the necessary information without any issues. While I didn’t interact with them much after check-in, the overall service felt professional and welcoming. Final Thoughts – A Solid Stay for Practical Travelers Overall, Dormy Inn Ueno Tokyo is a great choice if you’re looking for a convenient, budget-friendly, and functional stay in Tokyo. The location is excellent, the onsen is a nice touch, and the small perks like free drinks and late-night snacks add to the experience. Just keep in mind that the rooms are small, there’s no daily cleaning, and some of the free amenities have limited availability. If you’re okay with that, it’s a great place to stay in Ueno!

Overall stay is okay if you don’t expect much. However the makeup room service policy is very confusing especially when you asked the cleaner if there’s a makeup room service today. Her answer is always NO! Just change towels and rubbish bags. We had to always call reception to ask and only 2 makeup room services( change bedsheets only) in our 8nights stay. Dirty sinks and dusty room when we finally checked out. Plus points- nearby a few train lines and the microwave oven in the room. Pictures are taken when we checkin.

They provide great privacy for when you need to get away, considering it might be hard to get work done in the common room as this is one of the more ”social” hostels. |8.91km from downtown
It's a little far from the downtown area, so you have to change from Nakano Fujimicho Station to Taya Shibuya Ginza Tokyo Station two or three times, but it was quiet and there was a pretty Gaecheon-gil in front of the station, so it was nice to take a walk. The hostel was spacious and clean, but the bathroom was narrow and it was too cold at night to be in February with one air conditioner ㅜㅜ Convenience stores, moss burgers, bakery (really delicious) are crowded around the station, so you have to walk for about 5 minutes. I am willing to visit again in the season, not in winter ^^
