Hotels in Vitosha District, Sofia

The location is superb! It's only a walking distance to Boyana church and Boyana waterfalls. 5-10 minute walk circa. The rooms are spotless, warm and very classic. Amenities were ok for the price I've paid. From the airport just take the metro and stop to Vitosha station. Take the bus no.64 and it will bring you directly to the hotel. Great staff and super helpful specially the old lady. Not everyone understands and speaks English but it's ok. The location is about circa 20mins by bus to the city centre of Sofia. The place is so quiet and tranquil. I highly recommend this hotel and can't wait to comeback during the summer season!

Awesome garden with trees and flowers, maintained with details. You can enjoy birds songs early morning.

perfect little hotel in Boyana

Everything is excellent, restaurant has a lot of food on lunch and dinner. But I would like to include some eggs and sausages/bacon in breakfast, not just toast, for next time please))

I nice hotel in the hillside south of Sofia. Beautyful view from the restaurant. And a nice pool area to do some sunbathing and swimming.

The hotel is located at the foot of the mountain, making it perfect for a relaxing vacation. You can walk up the mountain for sightseeing. The rooms are well-equipped, the minibar has snacks and drinks, and the shampoo is great! 👍 There's a supermarket nearby. Special praise for the hotel breakfast. It offers an à la carte menu, and the staff prepares the food to order, instead of a buffet. Highly recommended! Highly recommended! Highly recommended!

Having stayed in many 5 star hotels across the world, I had high hopes for the Sofia Balkan Palace, that unfortunately were only partially met. First let’s cover the good points! It feels historic without being old, and you feel like you’re really in Sofia. The best thing about the property is easily the location; it’s close to all the main tourist attractions, and there are good transport links right by the hotel, as well as access to some fantastic restaurants, coffee shops, and stores. The hotel rooms are modern and relatively clean, with the usual amenities. However, I was disappointed that housekeeping kept forgetting to replenish the complimentary daily water, as well as pay attention to the ‘Do Not Disturb’ light that I had selected for my room on a few days during my visit. I would say that one of the downsides is the customer service; although staff aren’t rude, I wouldn’t say they’re polite or overly helpful. The hotel has average soundproofing, and I was far too aware of the music outside, my neighbouring guests talking or listening to music in their rooms, as well as guests in the hallway (which is in part due to the layout of my room, which did not have an additional door between the bedroom and front door into the room). The noise outside does lessen and stop by about 11:00 PM, and sometimes by 10:00 PM (depending on the day). Overall, I’d still say it’s a good choice for your stay in Sofia. Especially if your priority is staying in a historical boutique hotel in a good location.

Above all, the location is very good ... The room was spacious and nice. Front service .. The cleanliness of the room is also good. Overall it was okay.
