Great hotel with excellent service from staffs. Very close to subway and many shopping malls and eateries around. Room cleanliness is excellent and bed stiffness is just nice for me. With a big smart tv you never feel bore staying in the room that comes with many channels for entertainment. Breakfast is very basic with mostly oriental foods. Will definitely stay in JI Hotel if I ever come back Shanghai.

Service: 10/10. My mum and I were greeted at reception with warm tea and snacks. Honey (张小姐) added us on Wechat (Chinese social media) and provided us with food times and amenities for our stay. Location: 10/10 Amazing location. It's around 15 minutes walk from WuKang building which is the start of the famous Shanghai Citywalk. The hotel is 9 minutes walk from the closest metro (HengShanLu). Hotel: Perfect 👌🏼 We were given floor level 21 and had SPECTACULAR views. Absolutely superb. 💯 Food: Buffet breakfast. Afternoon OR evening tea included. Plus 1 bowl of noodle at night. What more can you ask for?! 10/10. Overall, I will recommend friends and family to stay. If you are deciding, stop & book right now!

Booked a room for my mom. She lived there for 10 days and enjoyed her stay, however I found the hotel overpriced. I went into the room to help mom with the suitcases and internet, after 10 minutes the guard was knocking the door, demanding me to leave as I didn’t check in. I explained him I will just help for some time and leave, he insisted anyway. I can understand the rules, however I also hope for understanding as I never experienced it in other hotels, obviously I am not staying for a night as I explained, just some time to help. That was not a good impression and I didn’t find the guard polite. 1. Location. Better find another hotel around Xujiahui, every day we had to walk upstairs to cross the road. My room was facing trash cans. KTV was loud one night. 2. Service. The room was on the second floor and there was no elevator, nobody offered to carry the suitcases. It seems the guards on this hotel are to scare off guests not to help them. Terrible. 3. Cleanliness. I asked the reception to clean the room again after check in, the window was dirty, found a hair on a bed and dust in general. Reception area is messy. 4. No toothbrushes or combs or anything. There is store beside the hotel though. Can’t say it was terrible, like I said the experience was rather positive, however for this price and for HomeInn (RuJia) it’s very disappointing.

If you would like to enjoy ”old Shanghai” and experience good Chinese food and observe Chinese ordinary people's daily life, Hengshan Garden Hotel is a great location to stay. Hengshen Garden Hotel has a long history as an international hotel and service is as excellent as expected. It is located in the old French Concession area, it is vey walking friendly and a lots small coffee shops and restaurants. The Hengshan Garden Park is about 5-10 minutes walking distance, we enjoyed the beautiful park in the middle of busy city. In the park, we enjoyed people watching (and bird watching too). People are happy doing group exercises dance, practice Tai-Chi, grandparents taking grandchildren for a stroll in the strollers. People are friendly. Worried about safety? China is the safest country to visit in my opinion. We enjoyed every minute during our visits. I would definitely stay in Hengshan Garden Hotel again when next time visiting China.

It was okay, staff is friendly, stayed here because it’s close to one of the hospital in Shanghai.

Except for the stairs, it is not convenient to go up, there is nothing wrong with it, very good really! Very clean and warm, very warm

Checked us in at 1230pm, into interconnecting rooms as we are a family of 5. Reception was friendly and polite and spoke excellent English. Charged only for 2 adult breakfasts and provided complimentary breakfasts for the children. The room attendant was very friendly and provided toothbrushes, extra bottles of water, towels and slippers. Furniture is a bit older but rooms were clean, warm. Short walk to plenty of restaurants, shopping and 3 metro lines nearby.

The location is good, there are many restaurants around the area, the metro stop is close by when you arrive you may be confused because there are about 20 or so exits and some of the exits don't have an esklators , there are 3 lines that converg at the metro stop, even the locals get confused which way to exit, the rooms are clean, the staff is very curtious and very helpful, most of them don't speak English, I recommend you use a translator app, that helps out tremendously. Breakfast is sufficient, it is a mix of toast and mini croissants butter strawberry jelly and poached eggs and bacon and a piece of fruit with coffee or orange juice,or Chinese breakfast consisting of rice small salad with soup or porage Chinese boiled eggs etc. It is a minimalist breakfast, it is good and will keep you full till lunch.
