The evening staff where nowhere to be seen on the evening we checked in. They had a sign at reception saying they were in the bar and a sign in the bar saying they were at reception. Took over 20 minutes to find a member of staff to be able to check in and they weren’t even apologetic once they turned up. The next evening we went for a drink in the bar, while the rugby finals were on. There were many people trying to get a drink, however again the bar/reception staff were not around. Ended up giving up waiting without being served and going back to our room instead. Very disappointed with the service. The room and location had everything you needed, however and we had no complaints in this regard.

Stayed here with the family last weekend and would highly recommend this hotel. The room was clean and, even though the rules have changed, housekeeping were very efficient. Breakfast was as you would expect but with more care and attention than I have seen at any other Travelodge. Hot food was replenished almost instantly and everything was clean and tidy. Special mention must go to Doreen who provided hands down the best customer service I have ever received in any hotel. My son is coeliac and Doreen took the time on our first evening to go through each menu item and double check what was suitable for him. She was friendly and engaging, always with a smile on her face. During breakfast she made a point of greeting each guest and seemed to know who was happy for a chat and who was happy with just a cheery 'good morning'.

A last-minute getaway for my birthday and it didn't disappoint. A friendly and helpful welcome from Laina and Dennis awaits you. The rooms are immaculate, the bed is comfy, and we were lucky enough to have a bay room that looks right out over, well, the bay. The breakfast is excellent, tasty, well cooked, a good variety (including fried bread!!), and it really sets you up for a day of exploring. Our only downside is that we only got to stay two nights and wish it could be longer. We will certainly be returning and look forward to staying for longer next time. The Ibis Budget Hotel, is a very basic hotel as implies in the name. It's convenient for the accessing the Ferry, town centre by bus. Fratton station with trains to London is less than a10min walk. There is no fancy trimmings here. The room was small, but clean. Offered a continental breakfast. Located in walking distance from supermarket and fast food restaurants. The Bus 1 goes from Gunwharf Ferry to the Southsea Pier; but be careful. This bus changes to a Bus 3 at the Southsea Pier. It carries on another hour plus towards Southampton etc. All in all, the hotel offered my family a good rest after a long day out. The bottom double bed was very comfortable. Perhaps the bunk bit is not best suited to a teenager.

The staff at Luccombe Hall were brilliant, from booking to check out. They were friendly and helpful, happy to share information about what to do on the island, and took the hassle out of arranging our ferry - even getting us onto a later crossing when we decided to stay a little longer. The hotel itself was in such a beautiful setting. The view is incredible and the sun shone throughout our stay, so we made use of the gardens to drink our coffee in the morning and the outdoor pool in the afternoons. Included in our stay was access to the nearby Shanklin Chine, which gave a pretty and easy (despite the steps) route down to the beach. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable and the decor was good. The TV had options to connect streaming platforms, which was useful. It might have been nice to have a fridge and safe in the room. Breakfast was great, with a selection of cereals, pastries and fruit, as well as cooked breakfasts. The Eggs Benedict was particularly tasty. Dinner was good, though felt a little pricey for what it was. Evening coffee was from a machine and sadly wasn't up to much. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay and would thoroughly recommend.

This is hotel is in a great location. Its close to city centre shops. 5 minute walk away. 1o to 15 minutes walk away from Gunwharf Quays. Safe car park.£10 a day. Good breakfast, lots of choice. Lovely bar area The rooms are really clean. And everything you need. The only problem is they're rather on the small side. But other than that a great stay

The breakfast is good, the location is super good, the service is good, and the price is affordable! Hee hee, it is suitable for taking children. There is no parking lot, but there are many parking lots nearby, and the location is super good.
