Simply excellent and beautiful boutique hotel if you're in need of some peaceful pampering! From the service of Rebeca and team to the attention to small details, such as the seamless transfers between reception and your room, L'Occitane products in your shower and serving you a glass of iced water each time you return by boat. Keep in mind that this is an option for those looking for a quiet, relaxing stay around the lake, in a jungle setting and away from the bustle of Flores (I visited during Semana Santa and I was beyond happy with my choice as the island was having non-stop parties in the streets). If you just want to read, swim, chill in a hammock, then this is perfect for you. If you want a base to explore Peten and access to food variety (esp. vegetarian/vegan options), then I would suggest staying on the island itself. The hotel offers private boat transfers to/from Flores at selected times at no cost (otherwise it's $25 per trip): departure from hotel 7am/1pm/5pm, departure from Flores 1:30pm/5:30pm ("flexible" timings in some cases, so just make sure you coordinate with reception). Personally, I found it very convenient as I just wanted to spend one afternoon in Flores. The hotel also offers stand-up paddle, kayaks and has a short hiking trail and a beautiful high deck overlooking the lake, which is perfect for yoga with a view. And the restaurant is great - small menu with delicious items (don't miss out on the Ceviche Maya-Peruano). I would perhaps only suggest to play more relaxing, instrumental music rather than pop and old school tracks all day, so it matches the relaxing jungle vibe more, and to offer wine by the glass at a cheaper price, they only offer bottles.

First of all lets talk about the positives, you get picked up from Flores on a lovely boat that takes you across the bond to the hotel, as you get off the boat, they give you a drink, the check in area is near a bar and restaurant everything seems dreamy! Then you start to check in. the people at the check in desk photo copy your credit card along with your ID, they will have that on record forever now. I hope that's kept somewhere safe! Secondly I asked at checkin "where we can get our guide to pick us from to visit Tikal?" the front desk employees frowned and became hostile to say the least, they said: "you can use our guided tours" now their guided tour for one day costs close to $700 that's more than double than anyone else I spoke to charges. So I said I would rather use the guide I have, they said, well you have to find your own way as the travel agencies will not find this property! almost sounded like a joke. they were so hostile and rude from this point onwards it was almost comical. I told them that I am using a travel agency that was actually recommended by this hotel when I rang then up weeks ago, the woman at check in started to load the WhatsApp conversation and accessed me of lying. After that wonderful interaction, we went up to our room, they said if you need anything just call 0 as you need to be driven up to the room, it is on a steep hill in the jungle. When I got to the room, there was no phone or internet. I went back down to the unfriendly staff at checkin desk and they said your room doesn't come with a phone so just send us a whatspapp message, I explained that the room doesnt have internet, they said yes thats right you have a cheap room, cheap rooms dont come with a phone or internet, the room cieling was also stained and felt very old  Now I am not saying don't stay there but if you do make sure you get their best room, I didnt see that room because I was obviously too cheap to get a real room. Also make sure you pay for their guided tours otherwise you will border line spat on.

I decided to return to this wonderful resort for another week. As with my visit last year, the staff was both welcoming and very hospitable. Despite an off and on rainy week, I still enjoyed the nice pool, kayaks, walking trail, nice lake view from my well appointed casita The included breakfasts were delicious - I recommend the pancakes and fruit plate. This resort is close to the towns of Flores & San Andres, and the shuttle boats (launches) are always available to transport guests for a small fee to these fun little towns loaded with interesting shops & restaurants. A visit to the Cathedral at the top of the hill in Flores is fun as is walking around the small community square nearby. Just two blocks down the hill is a hidden gem called "Delirio" where visitors can enjoy freshly baked cookies, pies, and as of this writing, pumpkin frappes ! Be sure to make a stop and have a treat. The Bolontiku Hotel is the perfect place to begin your visit to Flores & surrounding Mayan sites, and the ideal spot to end your day as you return to this peaceful & Tranquil resort. Special thanks to managers Rebeca & Bryan for making my return visit so enjoyable. I had a wonderful visit ! Tio Bob.

Once in a lifetime family holiday. This hotel is absolutely magical, cannot fault in any ways. The complimentary boat trip to the hotel is a great start to your stay. You are welcomed with a drink, bread to feed the fish and a complimentary mini massage. A buggy takes you to your room. We stayed in a family room (no 9) with an amazing open style bathroom with sunken jacuzzi and large rain shower, 2 wonderfully comfortable king size beds and a large balcony with comfy chairs, table and wonderful view of the jungle with the lake and pool peeking through. It was great to wake up in the morning to the bird chorus and the occasional howler monkey. Breakfast was delicious so recommend including this in your stay. Above the lake is a fabulous raised balcony nestled in the trees with the best views, and down by the lake a gorgeous sofa area to relax and watch the sunrise. Would def recommend getting up to see sunrise over the lake. We did it both mornings followed by a sunlit swim out to the floating decking on the lake. Paddle boards and kayaks are also complimentary and a good way to see sunset on the lake. The hotel organised a tour to the Mayan temples in Tikal which was fantastic and well worth the money. Nothing is too much trouble at this beautiful hotel. Really hope to visit again one day. Highly recommend!

My girlfriend and I spent 3 WONDERFUL days at the hotel, the experience was worth the trip to Guatemala in itself. Since we first arrived at the property, enjoying a magical boat ride and a sunset we’ll never forget we realized that Bolontiku will hold a place in our hearts for ever. The hotel staff was amazing, super caring and always accommodating to our needs, the food was truly wonderful the chef and his team did an outstanding job. All in all, a truly incredible experience in a UNIQUE location. Will recommend it to friends and family and hope to be able to return one day. THANK YOU Bolontiku!

Bolontiku Hotel in Flores, Guatemala, is not only a haven for adults but also a fantastic destination for families. During our stay, we had the pleasure of experiencing this remarkable hotel as a family of five, including three children aged 7, 4, and 1. From the moment we arrived, the staff at Bolontiku Hotel made us feel like VIPs. They warmly greeted our children and went out of their way to ensure their comfort and enjoyment throughout our stay. The hotel staff provided us with thoughtful amenities and made sure our rooms were child-friendly, with extra beds, cribs, and age-appropriate amenities. The hotel's attention to detail extended to its family-oriented facilities and activities. The infinity pool had a designated shallow area perfect for our little ones to splash and play safely. The hotel's lush gardens provided ample space for our children to run around and explore, while still being within sight. One of the highlights for our children was the hotel's kid-friendly activities. The staff organized engaging experiences, such as storytelling sessions about Mayan culture, arts and crafts workshops, and nature walks around the hotel grounds. These activities not only entertained our children but also educated them about the rich cultural heritage of the region. The restaurant staff was incredibly accommodating to our children's dining needs, offering a diverse and child-friendly menu. They happily accommodated special requests and ensured that our little ones were well-fed and satisfied throughout our stay. Overall, Bolontiku Hotel provided a family-friendly experience that exceeded our expectations. Its exceptional service, child-friendly amenities, and engaging activities made our stay truly memorable for every member of our family. We highly recommend this hotel to families looking for a luxurious and welcoming retreat in Flores, Guatemala.
