Partner and I stayed at Casa da Companhia for a week - it was one of the best hotel experiences of our lives! From check-in to the attentive breakfast service and continuing through check-out, we were thrilled by the warmth and quality of service of the staff. Recommendations for sightseeing, restaurants, and a day tour of Douro were all top-notch, and we'll be passing them onto our friends who follow us. Location is on Rue das Flores - a pedestrian-access only street. If you have significant mobility concerns, I would recommend reaching out ahead of time to the hotel to coordinate your arrival transportation. Location cannot be beat - we walked everywhere and were very happy with our access to a number of sights, restaurants, the waterfront, etc. There was a minor hiccup (no fault of the hotel) regarding another guest on our floor who was smoking in their room. The smell subsequently made its way into our room via the ventilation system. Before leaving for a dinner, we notified the front desk and they took immediate action, assessing the smell in our room. Upon our return that evening, they offered to place us in another room overnight, if the smoke smell persisted. When we returned to our room, the smell had dissipated and we declined the extra room - but we greatly appreciated their responsiveness and offer of alternative accommodations. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well-appointed. I enjoyed the dry sauna and indoor pool on a rainy day and found both to be very well-maintained. We'll be recommending this hotel to our friends and family and are looking forward to returning to Porto and Casa da Companhia.

No words.... Has been a trip INSIDE a subway construction area .... And I am not kidding unfortunately. I have reserved a single room kind bed. At beginning the reception assigned me one room at 4th floor exactly in front of jackhammer operators, which made the same noises as in war scenario with 2 beds. Then after my immediate big complain reception have assigned me another room, #209. Different scenario : that was in front of a concrete grinding crane arrives from 8pm in the morning until 10pm in the evening. at 7am the noises of the vehicles began with the relative movement alarm and in the evening after 10pm the workers who hammer gradually finished at 1am in the night. all i have timed videos to prove my experience. I asked several times to assign me a room ON OTHER SIDE (that are outside the ”war operation area”) but answer was always _ ”SORRY SIR, THE ROOM ON BACKSIDE ARE FULL AND WE DO NOT HAVE SPACE AVAILABLE” . Today at check out I have asked a discount, as feedback the receptionist charged me 20EUR more for 2 peer juices I have got from minibar...... I do not know how to describe this experience, I have been many times in Intercontinental and I have been always satisfied.... BESIDE THIS LAST TRIP THAT IS REALLY SOMETHING I WANT TO FORGET Travellers' take extreme care going there !! At least until the subway works under room balcony are finished !!! Can not upload pictures the website tell me ”unable to lad” but I can sent ll of them separately

Maria da SÉ Historic House

Porto|0.15km from Monument to Bishop Pedro Pitões
We just returned from a short but intense holiday in Porto, a surprisingly beautiful city. We stayed at the guesthouse Maria da Se' (now he is called so), in the historic center, and we received extraordinary welcome and attention at all times, from the arrival at the airport, where Fausto and Maria patiently waited for us Despite the huge delay of the flight, at the time of arrival in the room, where we found a sweet welcome with Pasteis de Nata and a glass of Porto, until we left the guesthouse and were re-companying at the airport. The hotel - located in a palace of the historic centre, two steps from the Cathedral and ten minutes walk from the ribeira long river - is simple but comfortable, breakfast is very good and made even more pleasant by the careful presence Fausto, Maria and Helena have always been careful to our demands and needs, giving us a lot of useful information about things to see, about shops where to buy souvenirs (and often accompanying us!), on restaurants and tractors where to eat and dine. Fausto organized a wonderful day in the Douro Valley (for other reason at prices quite lower than those offered by agencies) , during which he accompanied us with gentleness and patience giving us more valuable information ... a We couldn't have wished better! It is, within a few days we can say we have found beautiful friends in Porto and we can only recommend a stay at this guesthouse!

Stayed here for three nights on a visit to Porto, and I cannot say enough about how great this apartment was. I’ve been to 32 counties, and this was one of the coolest, places I’ve ever stayed. I had the studio apartment, and there was more than enough room for me to spread out. (Would be perfect for two people as well.) The bedroom had windows, but it was very warm when I visited, so it was nice close them and feel like I was in my own little cave. The water pressure was amazing, and the shower was perfect after the steep hills of Porto. Elizabeth greeted me at the top of the stairs and helped me lug my bag down (and helped me lug it back up when I checked out). She was so friendly and welcoming. She recommended some “must-sees” and even left me a cake from the bakery! I agree with the other reviewers that this is not for guests with any mobility issues. But if you want to experience “the real Porto,” this is the apartment for you.
My Ribeira Guest House

The guest house is lovely, really authentic look and feel to the place, but with modernisation in all the right places. The electric pin access doors rather than worrying about carrying a key around were particularly welcomed. Location could not be better for access to Ribeira and the Douro river front, with the other regions, wine cellars etc all easily walkable. Other than taxis to and from the airport, we did the whole city on foot and felt we saw a good amount of things to see. Staff were very pleasant and professional across the board, happy to give tips and advice when asked. Beds and rooms comfortable, shutters a nice addition to the windows and the rooms were spacious and spotless. There was a bit of road noise through the windows due to the proximity to the road and tunnel, but it's city centre hotel so to be expected, and it was very quite during sleeping hours. Would not hesitate in returning when we come back to Porto in future!

The hotel is located in a very good state of the city and is very new. The hotel is very helpful, careful and pleasant! Some basic services are paid as a shower towel or a slipper.

When I checked in for the first time, there was still leftover coffee in the kettle? ! What is this housekeeping for? I called, and the front desk staff pushed the matter to the housekeeping department, saying that they would call me, but no one called after waiting for 30 minutes, and no one answered the front desk, I... really speechless. Then I went to the front desk and asked, and the front desk staff said with a look of disdain to give me a new one, what kind of attitude is this? When I wanted to see the manager, they said that the manager was not there, so I was speechless, and finally helped me change the room. Apart from this, the breakfast is good, and the location is very good, it is relatively close to the attractions of Porto, and there are many shopping around

This is a chain apartment hotel. Check-in is handled online via video. If the Chinese are not good at English, don’t choose this option. However, this is the hotel with the best value for money and the best location. The apartment room and bathroom are large enough, making it comfortable to live in.
