"The most satisfactory inn I stayed in during this trip. The guy who checked me in was very handsome and had a good attitude. The location of the hotel is a tourist attraction. I arrived just in time for the sunset, which was particularly beautiful! Breakfast is included, there are many places and many dishes. The swimming pool is heated and warm. Parking is free. You can walk a few steps to the dinosaur park nearby, where there are climbing nets and slides for children to play. The deposit for check-in is $25, and it is refunded super quickly after check-out!"

"This hotel was a truly delightful surprise. I'd booked almost exclusively four-star Hilton and Marriott hotels throughout my trip, but this one, a small hotel, was just steps from the beach! The room was very clean, the sea was stunning, and the beach was teeming with seashells and seabirds. The pier was absolutely gorgeous. I highly recommend the cracked crab in town; it was incredibly delicious, so much so that we ate it once that night and then again the next day when we arrived. Back to the hotel, the pool was open until 10 am, which was great. Breakfast was simple, but it included fruit, bananas, and yogurt. We grabbed six large bananas and ate to our hearts' content. We even fed the birds with bagels – it was so much fun!"

"Great location right next to beach as well as downtown. The room with single queen is small but the bed was comfy and had fridge and microwave. The location and heating the waves at night is really what I enjoyed the most. Nice getaway for my daughter and I."

"Better than most/any hotels that are $100 or less. Well kept facilities, comfy bed with nice pillows, nice perks with bfast and a free drink. Lots of free parking. Felt safe. It is definitely a family and pet place - there will be noise around the pool and lawn areas but it was wholesome. There was an incident in the room next to us with a couple loudly fighting but it was quickly addressed and didn’t color the experience. I only mention that to say that there might be some “cheap hotel” downsides. It’s a big place."

The beach itself is clean and inviting, perfect for both sunbathing and very peaceful at dawn and sunset.The area boasts several scenic hiking trails. We took advantage of these and were rewarded with breathtaking views and the chance to reconnect with nature. Food options around Spyglass Inn also added to the charm of our stay. We indulged in some local cuisine that was as delicious as it was diverse. From fresh seafood to hearty breakfasts, plus a great steak in Arroyo Grande, 5 min drive. The inn itself provides a wonderful atmosphere to unwind. The room was comfortable and well-maintained, offering all the amenities needed for a relaxing retreat. The staff was friendly and helpful when needed, going out of their way to ensure we had a pleasant stay. Overall, our weekend at the Spyglass Inn was a delightful escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a rejuvenating getaway in a picturesque setting. Whether you're an avid hiker, a beach lover, or just in need of some peaceful downtime, Spyglass Inn is an ideal choice."

"Wonderful location. Hotel room is pristine and clean with modern design. Complimentary coffee provided and the hotel’s restaurant is quite posh. Only downside no free parking but there are a few public parking area within 3-5 min walking distance. Strongly recommended"
