Mom Tri's Villa Royale

Kata Beach Phuket|2.55km from Sudee Villa
Three years ago, after a month on business in northern Thailand, my husband and I stayed at this resort for a week. Choosing here was more or less accidental. We wanted a quiet beach and we felt like paradise in our hearts. The scenery is so beautiful and the staff is great and near perfect. The room was very large, beautifully decorated and there was a quiet beach. We loved everything here, so we decided to come to Thailand for a month to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. And come back to Mom Tri's Royal Villas Resort on Memorial Day. But unfortunately we were disappointed this time. We asked for airport transfer but no one greeted us at the entrance of the hotel. Walking to the lobby, I saw several staff chatting there, I don't know what we are coming. The resort has expanded, maybe this has brought more business to the resort, but for us, it has lost its original charm. The room attendant was still great, we had a room as soon as we arrived, and the decoration was very nice. But the restaurant staff seemed to lack training and obviously couldn't do the job. Our room was quite good, but it was shown everywhere that it was old. There were a lot of people on the beach, of course, it was not the fault of the resort, but it still affected the overall atmosphere. The resort is very proud of its cellar and has been on the wine appreciation magazine, but as a wine lover, I am disappointed that there is no reasonable wine here. I understand that the government has imposed a harsh excise tax on imported wine, But I think at least some Thai wines (some are good) should be in, and that's shameful. This is the beach, it's hot. I wanted a low wine, but the pool bar closed after 7pm and the only reasonable price wine can't be bought. I went to the breakfast room once and an accident that morning made me unhappy. I was unhappy for a while despite the manager explaining to me and apologizing. If management did say a little more, I would be discouraged, but not. I decided to go to the spa for a foot massage. The spa itself is very beautiful and the decoration is very elegant, which is the grade that the resort should have. The one who gave me a massage was a pretty young man, but the technology was not good. I have been to Thailand many times and I know what the real massage is like. Usually the masseur has to use some questions such as strength is not enough, pain is not pain. But this person did not ask, and obviously he did not know where the acupoint is. I later pressed it again in the temple, very good, a little spent. Maybe I was a bit picky but I really liked it before and it wasn't cheap. I also went back to this type of resort and this was the first time I felt very disappointed.

I stayed in Phuket for five days and it was such a joy! The room was very clean and the yard was very beautiful, carefully designed by the boss and his wife. The Thai staff are friendly and always smile when seeing customers. There is a little orange named Yuanbao in the store, and there is also a kitten from the neighbor next door who comes to eat and drink every day. They are very dear to me. The B&B is located on a very quiet road. You will not be disturbed at all when resting and sleeping, and it is very safe. The landlady helped rent a motorcycle. Taxi rides in Phuket are expensive and sometimes difficult. Motorcycle travel is super convenient! The proprietress also sent us tips on where to eat, drink and have fun near various hotels. They were all very good, and there were no surprises at all. It takes about ten minutes to ride to Ya Niu and Nai Harn beaches near the hotel, and it is also a few minutes' drive to eat. Already thinking about when to come next time! I will stay a few more nights next time~

These days when we travel overseas, we need a place to stay that is like an ally or even a friend. Phuket Riviera was the ideal spot for us (family of three with baby) to arrive. Everyone that works there was super kind and helpful. Well before we arrived they helped us with all the requirements we needed. When we got there we arrived to a clean two bedroom apartment overlooking the pool in the perfect location. We know Phuket a bit as we have been many times and Nai Harn area is the best for families with the nicest beaches. This hotel also allows dogs if you got one. The room we had included a highchair and crib which was the icing on the cake. To give one example of how helpful they are, I left my charing cable in the room. When I called to ask, they sent it that date by post and did not even charge me for the post. We will be back!

We stayed in August as a family of 4. This hotel is fantastic. Suite was huge, decorated to such a high standard with a Thai feel. The room facilities were amazing, everything you’d expect from a 5 star suite. We could have held a dinner party! I loved the own branded water, such a nice touch and emphasises the ‘above and beyond’ approach we experienced here. We loved the pool area and the sun trap around the pool. The owner and staff were attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is in a great location for many areas and they can even assist with trip bookings. The chilled out vibe of the coffee shop was perfect for lazy mornings. We’re already planning a return visit next year! Highly recommend.

We stayed 3 nights and paid approx £62/night - pool access room. Check in was easy and our room was ready even though we were a few hours early. We had a pool access room so expected it to be located on the ground floor, however, it was actually on the 1st floor which required 2 flights of stairs to be climbed - no good if you are unable to do this. Access to the room from reception is down in a lift through an underground carpark and up 2 flights, its a bit of a trek!! The room was great though! Nice comfy bed and good shower. Outside deck had 2 loungers. You share the pool with 5 other rooms but we always had it to ourselves! The water was a good temperature, we enjoyed it a lot! The location of the hotel is 2 minutes' walk to bars and restaurants, 5 minutes to the main area with lots of nicer bars and eateries. The room was them clean and new towels and bedding each day, we really don't like this. We'd rather keep until we request a change. 4 bottles of complimentary water each day was excellent. Our only concerns with the room area is the lack of a net curtain/privacy glass on the windows. The view is lovely but you need to keep the curtains closed and the ledge at the staircase. The ledge sticks out a lot and hubby, nearly 6ft, banged his head a few times. We'd stay again and would recommend.

Very cozy family and quiet hotel, comfortable rooms, you feel at home. There is a mini kitchen with a stove, you can cook. They clean every day and even wash the dishes after cooking. But change of towels and bed linen is not every day. Quiet neighbors. Near Rawai market, Naiharn beach. Supermarkets. You feel at home. In the yard there is parking for bikes and a small clean pool.
