Hôtel de l'Avre

Room is smallish to be expected but bathroom is modern and useful. We were upgraded, provided a bottle of wine, lovely local candy treat. Most importantly…after my husband had a fall the staff was so kind and helpful. Provided ice for his knee, contacted a doctor to make a visit, provided us a late check out. The garden is sweet. Many cafes nearby. We have been more than satisfied. Thank you ladies!

Lovely clean hotel but basic in the rooms. It was all we needed for sleeping as we spent the majority of the time sightseeing. Bed was comfy room was cosy and quite roomy for three people. Shower had good pressure and water was always hot. Room was cleaned daily. Tv in room only english speaking chanel was the BBC news ,Wifi was good we were up on the top floor. View was onto flats and rooftops behind with a glimpse of the top of the tower. Rooms could do with tea coffee facilities it would of been nice to have a brew before bed. Reception staff seemed friendly enough and the door was locked overnight so it was quite secure. Hotel is located close to a metro and 15 minute walk to the tower plenty of places to eat around the area. Yes we would stay here again.

I have been to Paris ten times over my lifetime and this is by far the best hotel I have stayed in. I have been to more upscale places but this was definitely the best value. It was worth every penny. We stayed in in room 602 and we had a nice size suite with a large bathroom by Paris standards. The room was spotless and we had a lot of storage space. The only downside was the roof too sky lights which be a wearing an eye patch to bed. We had the floor to Ourselves since there were o my 2 rooms on this floor. This was a concern to us in the Covid era. The hotel is small and only had 39 rooms, There is a nice lap pool in the basement which I swam in daily. It was well heated. There is a small gym which is adequate as well as a steam room. The staff and service in the hotel are 5 star. They could not be more helpful. We received several gifts during our stay which we appreciated. Our room had 2 terraces one of which had a view of the Eiffel Tower. Though the hotel is not in a touristy area you are only a 5 minute walk to line 8 of the metro which connects to most major sights. Rue de Commerce is around the corner which is a lively shopping street . The hotel itself is on a quiet street good for sleeping . If we return again we will stay here.

Stayed at the hotel back in December 18/January 19 over the new year for 5 nights with my girlfriend. First of all it looked lovely from the outside, really old school, authentic looking french building, very beautiful. It was located in a good location, just a short walk away from the Eiffel Tower and situated around lots of restaurants, cafes & bars! There are also two metro stations very close by and lots of shops. Also we found a brilliant location if you are keen on your walking, if your a keen walker we got to all the major attractions within maximum an hour on foot. The major issue we had with the hotel was the size of the room really, the pictures on the website were very deceiving - ultimately it wasn’t a major issue as we weren’t actually in the room a lot but when your somewhere for 5 days there was limited space in the room to relax and for storage plus the bathroom was VERY small. But the room was always as clean as it could be, it’s very old fashioned and I would say in need of a freshen up but non the less a lovely spot, friendly staff and we enjoyed our stay. The lifts were also very dated and just be careful as you literally walk straight out the lifts on to a spiral staircase, sometimes a little tricky after a sherbert or two.

We have been for a weekend. The hotel is located in a area with both stores and bars and restaurants. The location is very quiet. The rooms are all equipped with a 4s comfort such as towels, couchs, complete toilet, coffee machine, mini-bars and, of course, TV. The size of the rooms is weak, too small, with little space to open the bag.

Booked a twin bedroom for my friend and me located in the 15th arrondissement. 5 minutes away from a metro stop and next right to a commercial Street where we can find small and nice shops. A warm welcome from the receptionist. I am very picky when it comes to hotel rooms and this one is average. After we checked in, we found a cleaning rag on the table, a forgotten (used?) pillow on the bed. A wall socket was half off (next to the bathroom). We also found out that the kettle wasn't very clean (gum?) It is possible to keep your luggage at the reception for both before check in and check out!
